Support Groups

I am trying to find support groups for overweight or bariatric surgeries here in MO. I am looking for ones to go too and meet people and get support that way. Also, are there any support groups out there for families that want to support their loved ones as they try to lose weight?? Anywhere in Mo would be great. I knew there was alot of support groups online but just seeing if there are any out there where I can meet people on a monthly basis or so...

there are several in Springfield....the group called Circle of Friends (COF) meets  this cominjg friday night at 6:30 at the library center on South Campbell in Springfield...in room A... it is for the person haveing surgery or has had surgery...and for any support folks of that person. we encourage the support people to come it is very important. and if they have any questions we try to help them too.  this group meets the second friday of every month....hope to see you there. ...where do you live????will driving to Springfield be too far? i drive 88 miles to it every month.

We'd love to have you come to Circle of Friends this Friday night at the Library Center on S. Campbell by Sam's club in South Springfield. We are just that - friends who have had surgery or who are considering having surgery. Our support persons are welcome and we love to try to answer their questions too. It's a good group of loving people who have walked the walk and have experience to share. Hope you can come - don't know how far you are from us.
