WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY 2-6-10
Did you all in Springfield and around get snow or any acumulation of snow yesterday? We had a little bit of everything but nothing is on the ground. It snow some big pretty snowflakes but it started sticking and e then it would rain and melt it. So we dodged the bullet this time but now they are forcasting more of the stuff for Sunday and Monday and Tuesday lol and is suppose to be bigger one. And I have to go to work Sunday. Darn if it snows while I am at work I will probably have to stay. I hate it when that happens but there is no getting around it for sure…
Donnie the grandson that was visiting went home yesterday , hated to see him go …I hope he will come back down often now that George is here …they got along really well and talked a lot …
Not a lot going on here today getting things ready for this next round of nasty weather. Come on spring.
I am making out an order from my seed catalog today of things I need and want…I always have to watch it or I will have 100.00 ordered so quick that it will make your head spin lol ….can spend a lot of money in those things. But some stuff I have got to have to start seeds …sometimes I think it would be cheaper to just buy them already grown for me but I sure do enjoy watching the seeds sprout up into plants.
JEANIE RAE:::::: oh that is great ab out the Y If they have a water aerobics’ class that would help you both out so so much and most of the time it is older people that arent in any better shape than you are so you don’t feel bad…I always just wore shorts and top when I went . But it is excellent exercise and doesn’t hurt your bones and doesn’t make you sore. But will do wonders for you if you push yourself at it.
But do the treadmill and stuff too. I wish I could go with you. My insurance pays for a Y membership too but it is so far away to go do stuff ….
Well at least that class is only one day so that shouldn’t put you too far behind.
Hope you get to start on your Y stuff soon it will help pass the time too for the rest of this winter.
JO::::: I agree about the cabin fever. This is an awful winter for sure. Just keeps dragging on and on…usually we have some pretty days in the winter but we sure havent had this one for sure.
Lol on the snow boots , I have some of the best ones they are so warm and toasty…fleece lined and all.
Tell your husband that if he has diverticulosis and IBS he really needs to stop eating things like corn, and several other things. Those only increase the pain .
CONNIE:::: thanks for the recipe that really sounds good….yes Protein is really important to us as well
Im glad that you are posting more lately we need everyone on here …and with you having lap band experience it is very important because when someone ask questions about it you have the answers…thanks …

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY

I was all excited about the support group starting here, but someone emailed me that the LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Transgender. She said I'm welcome but I might not be comfortable and I wouldn't. Am I dumb or what not knowing what LGBT stood for?
I thought it was od the dr. didn't give Max a diet since he has diverticulosis. He hasn't complained any more.
I have ordered an Air Climber from QVC. It's not very big so will fit perfectly in the spare bedroom. I'm going to drop my gym membership now that I will have the climber and the walking DVDs. Going out after I get home is so hard especially when it's cold and dark. The treadmills at the gym are always taken and classes are either too difficult for me or start at 6:00 pm and I can't get there. My employer will pay for half the cost of the climber and the DVDs.
I best get off her and get out and about.

Good morning OH,
I agree with Jo, I am so tired of all the gloomy winter stuff, it just isn't motivating at all. Hoping right now that the weather guys are wrong and that the stuff heading our way changes course, like maybe goes way north of Missouri. I want to start working out Monday and if it snows as bad as they say I may not get a chance until Wednesday. Oh well, plans have been changed before and didn't make it the end of my world. LOL, I really am getting cabin fever, after I made up my mind to make changes in my life and start getting out of the house and back into the world and we get house bound by the weather, at least I'm not alone.
My youngest GS turned two yesterday, we are going to his BP today at three, so I at least get a little adventure today.
Jan~It's so good that you have a relationship with your grandchildren, I am looking forward to being involved in my grandchildrens lives. That is one of my main motivations for getting well and being able to participate.
Jo~I have the same problem with my DH. He does have COPD, and uses his medications as per the dr's instructions, but at the same time he doesn't do what the dr. tells him as far as excercise goes, and all of his simptom are exagerated. It only irritates me that when I try to help him through my own experience with COPD, he acts like that isn't what's wrong with him. Don't know if that makes sense or not. I love him dearly, but he's a big woose when it comes to anything that makes him feel bad. Sometimes I think it could be a man thing, at least some men.
Susan~I am planning on being at the meeting on the 12th and look forward to meeting you and Andy.
Hope everyone has a good day, need to post and get ready for the BP. Talk to ya all later.
