I made this today and it is worth sharing.... YUM!

Apple Dew Tart
2 (8 count) cans crescent rolls
3 Apples
1 cup Splenda
1/2 cup Butter, melted (1 stick)
1 teaspoon Cinnamon (plus more, for sprinkling on top)
1 (12 ounce) can Diet Mountain Dew soda

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and coat a 13x9 baking dish or pan with a non-stick spray.

Peel and slice each apple into 16 pieces. Wrap apples in Crescent Rolls, making sure to encase the apples completely and place in pan, making 2 rows.

Place additional apple slices between the rolled slices and between the rows.

Mix melted butter, Splenda and cinnamon together. Pour mixture over wrapped apples.

Pour the can of Diet Mountain Dew over all ingredients in pan. Sprinkle with additional cinnamon.

Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Enjoy!

Thanks Connie.  That sounds yummy.  I'll see you next Wednesday!  I'll have blood drawn and pre-op education at HSSH at 7:30 a.m., then I'll head to the office to fill out paperwork for BLIS insurance, and pay Dr. H.  Then I'll see the NUT at 1:00.  I start liquids on Tues, so having such a busy day on Wed. will help (I hope).  DH can go have b'fast while I'm doing blood work.  If he wants to eat again before we go home, he'll have to do it while I'm seeing the NUT.

I'm getting excited!  Oh, do you know if I have to make an appointment to see Wayne?  Oh, forget it, I'll just e-mail him.  LOL

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

I look forward to seeing you Wanda!! Time is passing quickly for you I hope.
Don't forget to bring you liquid treasures with you on the trip.
As far as Wayne... well not usually but it probably wouldn't hurt just to be safe. I know you will want to get on the road ASAP. Hopefully the weather will hold for you too. Make sure they let me know when you get to the office. I am back in the back where I don't always see who comes in.
Travel safely,
Connie
