WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY
Wow snow snow snow….it stopped sometime during the night I guess but we have a lot of the white stuff out there for sure. I know looking out the back door you cant see any site of the big rocks I have around my flower beds and some of them are pretty large..when Joe goes out to feed the chickens and Rebel in a bit I will have him measure it for me I would guess 10 to 12 inches.
Nothing much new here this morning except the phone has been ringing off the hook this morning with Happy birthday wishes….my granddaughter Kim and her babies were suppose to come down today for as the babies said (a happy birthday party ) they are so cute…she called and said that hopefully they would be able to get down tomorrow.
SUSIE;::: When it was coming down really well yesterday I was wondering if you were inside watching it…it was pretty .but now it is enough im ready for spring too.
If you don’t have your meeting today I hope you can all plan for it by next week…hope it works out well.
BARBARA::::hope hubby is home for the day? Or does he have to go back out again.? Glad that you are feeling better …you both are in my prayers …
Jo::::: I think you probably have it right too. Maybe before surgery you could get buy with no snacks because you could eat more at one time but I know I have to have a snack between meals or my blood sugar starts dropping. doesn’t take much but I always try to make it high protein.
JEANIE RAE:::::so did you get anymore snow? I know you said it makes your place get really boggy so am hoping that you didn’t….
I really think you need to have a small high protein snack at bedtime, especially since you are a diabetic. But like I said im not a dietition but SOME of them I don’t think studied very well lol….not talking about anyone person but -----some-----…
Anyway you are doing awesome I think keep up the good work…you will make it for sure ..
Cant wait to see you have surgery and start to shrink, it is so exciting for us as a group to watch someone new ….

My dietician is very nice but she is pencil thin and I'm sure she has no clue about what it's really like being overweight. When I saw her the first time and saw she said 3 meals and no snacking, I ignored it. She was just starting with this bariactric practice. After she attending a conference or two for bariactrics, she changed her advice. I feel like as long as I plan my food for the day and eat it throughout the day, I'm okay. If I was eating 3 meals a day for say 1,100 calories then adding snacks without a plan, that would not work.
I must confess something I did yesterday and haven't done for almost 2 years. I ate a Danish. What was I thinking? :( There were pastries left over from a breakfast meeting and it just jumped in my hand. It was good but not great but it left me with such guilt. All week I have tracked my food and lost a few pounds then I eat something like that. The thing is, I wasn't hungry at all. It's over and done with so I need to quit beating myself up.
I'm hungry for Mexican food so I'm going to fix Taco Salad this evening.

Jo~I think that danish just reached out and attacked you, I have had that kind of food attacks. It's getting easier to accept that I have a compulsion for food, and like others have told me I think you and Jan are in there, we are addicted and it's not the end of the world to slip a little every now and then.
It is getting a little easier for me. I still have to watch the proteins. I am a meat lover and it's hard to cut my consumption of meat down.
Jan~I think you are right about the small protein snack. I crave meat and cheese or any kind of protein. Gonna try and plan out like Jo is doing and see if it works for me.
One thing I think is helping me is being honest about what I eat during the day. I've been post on MY OH health tracker, I use the portions they have listed for us and it helps me see where I'm at calorie wise.
We only got about 4" of snow. If it warms us and allows the ground to dry out some we will be ok, if we keep getting the moisture we've been getting we are gonna be able to have mud races. LOL, my sons would have loved that back when they were younger. Now they would have to clean their vehicles.
Susan~So glad to hear you are ok. Hoping all comes out well with the monitor.
Hope everyone has a good week end and stay warm. Gotta give up the computer awhile so we can get our taxes done. Talk to ya all tomorrow.
