Rain and cold , rain and more cold….sounds like we are going to be in for it this next week doesn’t it? I have to work Tuesday and Wednesday…will take a bag with me to work just in case I get stranded there. Not that I couldn’t get home but if a nurse calls in and I don’t have relief I wont be able to leave…..will have to stay until someone can come and relieve me. That is standard procedure for nurses. I don’t like it but to leave will be abandonment of patients and I don’t want to be charged with that . One time , a long time ago , I was working and didn’t get to leave for 3 days that was when I was younger , don’t know if I could do it now or not.…would work a while and then go lay down for two or three hours then get up and work some more. I sure had a good pay check lol but was so tired I thought I would die. At least there was a med tech with me so I didn’t have to give med just more or less had to be there…record temps and such and handle any medical problems ….wasn’t too bad just tiring.finally the DON was able to get in and relieve me was so glad to see her I about kissed her .lol

JO ::::: I see that you had a good shopping day with buying new shoes. Sounds like you had a good day in all

don’t you just hate that when you go out to eat and it is horrible like that? I would have sent it back , called manager and/or walked out. No sense in that sort of stuff. That happened to us at the one here in Branson one day and that is what we did. Im not going to pay for something that is unfit to eat. The steak was cold as were the veggies even had a little puddle of congealed grease on the plate. Yuck .

SUSAN::::::wow sounds like you all were good and busy yesterday at work….all the new room trays added on.

The weather is suppose to get cold with sleet and snow possible so maybe Andy will get to use that shovel afterall this winter yet lol I hope not tho…and tell him if he does he needs to be very very careful and not have a heart attack….no joke.

Well am going to get this posted hope you all have a really blessed Sunday …hope to see a lot of you tomorrow night at COF meeting.

I think I may be going crazy with all the kids running around.  Hopefully we will be able to get some house work done.  I am really discouraged about not being able to lose weight.  Matt and i have decided that next year for our tax return I am going to have my skin removal.  It sounds like a dream but it is a goal.  This year I will try to lose as much as I can and then I will be ready for surgery.  I am glad that I came back I really need some encouragement.  Thanks for still being here.  Penni

Good morning OH,

It's just a nasty dreary day, kind of hard to get motivated when it's like this. Oh well, should count my blessings I'm no longer in the Los Angeles area. After having fires in the hills all summer and fall, all the rain they are getting is not good. I couldn't imagine having hills behind of the house that could start moving. We had to have 2-inch rock hauled in so we can get in and out, our driveway is still mushy, kind of like a swamp gets. Still need a couple more loads brought out and spread. It seems that all the stuff we hauled in two years ago went through to the other side of the world. LOL would be great if we could afford to have the drive chip and sealed, but then it would cost alot more to have it redone every two years. Think I want to sell and move back to the city. NOT.

Ok got that off my chest. Am still having a lot of trouble with the food. Have to keep a food log and do just fine during the day, but get so hungry at night I'm getting up to eat. Have to really work hard at breaking that issue, I can make it one night then the next I just do it.

Can't wait till Monday night, so glad to see the weather forecast, we're not supposed to get snow til later in the week. Of course that being Missouri it can change.

Jan~ you really sound like you are happy at work, I'm glad to read your posts, it gives me hope that I can get back out there and work full time again.

Jo~ you had a good shopping day, can't wait til' I have to start buying new clothes cause the old ones don't fit anymore. May have to come to visit my DD in Lawson and go on a shopping trip. There's a goal I can set.

Hope everyone has a good day, hope to see all of you at the meeting tomorrow night.

Talk to ya all later.

Jeanie, it is so much more fun to shop now.  Even when I was heavy, I always wanted to look nice, but I didn't enjoy shopping.  I never tried on anything in the store because I hated the dressing room mirrors.  Seeing myself in those mirors would make me depressed for day.

When I was able to shop in the petite dept. at Penney's, I was walking around with a smile I know.  It was such a great feeling.

Except for a few things I altered, everything in my wardrobe is new.

Good Morning Mimi and Mo...

I slipped and slided all the way to the neighbors yesterday morning in the mud... my favorite shoes do not have any traction.

I have been reading the comments about the Thera Shoes and I have to say... THEY ARE THE BEST for the price!  I would wear a pair of Sketchers out in 3 months with all the walking I do and I've not yet wore out a pair of the Thera Shoes... My sil got me 4 pair for $25 each... that's the cost of 1 pair of Sketchers... now I have to say if you try both on at the same time side by side the Sketchers are hands down the most comfortable but for the price and how fast they wear out ... the Thera Shoes are for me! ~ha  I would like to have a pair of Sketchers for inside walking but sure not for the money difference.   The soles on the Sketchers are WAY softer and so they wear out faster.

Since I have lost all this weight I am running the heels over on my Thera Shoes... I used to do that real bad when I was a kid and then when I gained so much weight I stopped and now I'm back to running them over again... guess all the weight distributed and made me heavy on both sides! ~ha

Any way the Thera Shoes are simply wonderful! It sure is worth a try for anyone that is walking alot and if you watch the K~mart ads they put them on sale fairly often for $25 a pair... some people have to work into them by wearing them just a few hours a day and then add more hours as they go but I didn't have to do that I guess since I had exercised so much anyway.

Well we are hot on the trail of a Gator still an think maybe we have found one we are going to go look at tomorrow.  2007 TX (the one I wanted) with only 18 hours on it! Yippee!   The man owns a feeder making business and only used it for the farm shows... he has had it stored in a trailer since he got it new.  The price is very right as well.  We have been looking for months now so maybe this will be the one?

I'm pretty excited about this one!  It's like brand new for about $2000 less than the others we have looked at.

I told Paul not to EVEN tell me when I'm out tooling around on it that I'm putting to many hours on it and to get me a 5 gallon gas tank to keep in the bed for long runs! ~tee hee

Got busy yesterday and sanded and vacuumed up all the dust on my cabinets and will give them the coat of stain this afternoon...I have gotten into all kinds of projects that have kept me from doing those cabinets.... I'm so happy to have them they will make things a lot neater around here.  That's if I can stay of the gator long enough to get some work done! ~tee hee  Will be so cool to have it to work around the place this summer!  Golly can to tell I'm pretty excited about this?  Will have to focus the rest of the day and get my work done! tee hee

Mimi ~I'm glad you like working again and hopefully you will not have to stay for 3 days straight... gee the sun just peeked out and it looks good! I can stand the gloom but you just can't go anywhere around here without getting stuck in the mud... Paul has had his 4 wheel drive dually stuck and his tractor.  And from the sounds of it it's not going to get any better this week.

I've enjoyed hearing about your plants already... I am going to focus on making salsa this summer.  I buy alot of it and can make it so easily.  Going to plant my "maters" in the big black tubs and put weed paper and mulch around them... no weeding!

Well better get to exercising and on to the cabinets... have a good day all.

Sunshine.....we have it today!!  Jan, hope you don't get stuck at work.  It's supposed to be cold all week.

I went to Applebee's website and sent them an email about our lousy dinner.  The server brought it and we never saw her again until she brought the check.

My Chicken with Mushroom and Balsamic Sauce was very good.  Max liked the Quinoa but I wasn't crazy about it.  It's very expensive but it didn't bother me like rice.  Today I have a roast and carrots in the slow cooker.  I have the Stephan Ministry this afternoon from 3-5:30.  Will be so glad when that's done.

Guess I will book at the Thera shoes next shopping trip.  I really needed dress shoes more right now.  I have a pair of Ryka's that I wear to the gym.
