WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY JANUARY 22
Well cant believe I almost wanted to go to work today. I may just see about taking that girls place that is quiting. She does mostly the station I like so might do it. Especially if she will tell me I don’t have to do the med cart at all. I hate giving meds , mainly because I cant see well enough to read the meds as well as I like to …is sort of scary to me. Would be scared to death all the time about giving the wrong meds. The light isn’t the best in those hallways sometimes.
I made sloppy joes for supper tonight…I made my own sauce cause the canned ones that I could find had too much sugar in them ..also bought some stuff for me to start taking to work with me…bought some yogurt light style and tried something that Susan says she does. I put a scoop of protein powder in it. Easy and quick way to get in the protein. Also got some sugar free apple sauce cups…tried the same thing and it works good. So I will take those type things and protein powder with me and mix and be able to eat something light and good for me without eating horrible things. Will be able to get my protein in that way.
Hey all of you on here that read this and go to the COF meetings…what would you all think of changing the meeting to Fridays???let me know .. As you all know I am wanting to not be the COF leader. And Rianne said she might be able to but bless her heart I know that with her working as a new nurse there will be times that she will have to work when she doesn’t want to.
Tammy Billings said she would love to do it but it would have to be on Fridays. She would ge a great leader. Just let me know if you want to semd me a personal message about it just use the contact button under this message ok? Or you can say yes or no on here. I think she would be able to make the meetings fun and exciting again. And could maybe revive them again. If you don’t know her she is a member and has been from the beginning of COF. Just has been getting her education. …
That is about all I have for today. It has been a miserable horrible day here yesterday and I hope today is better. …they say it is suppose to be.
JEANIE RAE:::::: that’s great that Big Al sent you the message, was I right on the dates? I hope so wouldn’t want to tell someone the wrong dates. ….Big Al isn’t as big as he use to be he is a really nice guy, what I know of him .
The shoes I bought at K mart are their rendition of the shoes that are over a hundred dollars. I will either wear them to the meeting Monday night or bring them at least. They look heavy but they arent ..the ones at kmart are called Thera shoes….
JO::::::I tired on the Sketchers and they don’t feel any different to me than the ones at K mart do. Except the ones at K mart were 30 dollars. A little easier to handle for me anyway…
I don’t know why the infrared heaters are so much all they are is a little cabinet with a vent opening , two small infrared heat bulbs and a small fan behind them….they heat up and the fan pushes the heat out into the room….it works well but good grief the building of the cabinet would be the most expensive part of this. ….
Hope you keep enjoying your new protein powder….there is one out there for everyone if they just keep looking and don’t give up….

Hello everyone here it is friday already.where did the week go to.time fly's by when you are having fun.lolthe weather said only 32 degress by next friday with a chance of rain and snow in there somewhere.
like my dad would say he sent the snow somewhere else.
jan thank's for thinking i could wear that dress.i will bring it with me on monday to the meeting.like i said i hide my extra skin.
what nurse is leaving the home to move?lee asked me how you liked working there.i told her you worked there before and you like it.she likes working with you.she said they really kept you all hopping the other night.
i am off on monday and tuesday next week.so i will see you there on wednesday unless you come in before that.
do you remember a resident who was there before his name is edward harvey?he went by another first name.i forgot what it was.he passed away.he was a brother in law to my supervisor in the kitchen.her name is pam harvey.her husband passed away almost 2 year's ago from cancer.glad you like the yougart
jo thoses shoes that jan and i got are really nice to wear and walk in.only 38 dollars a pair that is including tax at kmart.i needed a good shoe for work.they come in white and black.also a slip on style.

Got home last night ... Scope showed there is a blockadge up high . by the esphpogas {sp} and food just setting in there, they put me on a a med to hopefully help move the food and blockage, dr de la torre s office is suppose to call me to set up an appt to discuss what they are going to do. possibly surgery, but i am not really into doing that so we will see.. i can't eat ,or drink it all comes back up. so gonna do popsickles and click at least maybe some protein will be absoborbed and some fluids. my stomach is so sore from throwing up its aweful. i feel like they did their job,got their money now they could really care less about me. they put me on pain meds too but to me that just covers up the problem dosent solve crap. ok i'll quit whining just wanted to update yall. have a great day , love and hugs deb

I guess I'm still a work week person, I still look forward to the week-ends, it's ate up LOL.
Jan~Dr. E's meetings are still the second Monday, and the next one is on the 8th of Feb., the same day as my behavioral class, it's also in the same building.
Personally Friday nights work for me for the meetings. I am coming to this meeting, I really need the Friend contacts, I saw that it's supposed to snow, just gonna pray it waits til after the meeting is over and we're all home snug and warm, even better that it passes us by this time. I think we've had enough snow this winter.
I'm gonna check the shoes out Tuesday when I go to the nutrition and excercise rehab. I should have time. If I'm gonna start excercising will need different shoes than the ones I have now.
We have to go to town, meeting our mortgage holder, he's gonna lend us the money to pay for my co-pays and we need to pick it up this morning. Gonna post this and will talk to ya all tomorrow. Or later today. Have a good day.
Tomorrow I'm going shoe shopping. My dress shoes are too big. I want to try those Thera shoes. I'm not paying $100 for Sketchers, no matter how comfortable they are.
Home Depot has a kerosene heater for $129. I've never used kerosene, don't know where you buy it, but I'll bet it would heat it that room really well, and it would be great to have if our electricity went out.
Yesterday I did liquid proteins and water all day and got 102 grams of protein. By 4:00 I was feeling a little lightheaded. In the evening I did have a piece of toast with peanut butter.
Yes, I did enjoy my quiet time last night. Did some reading and watched an Oprah show I had recorded.

Be careful if you buy a kerosene heater, make sure your room is well vented, kerosene puts off a smell. A few winters ago we lost power for 6 days and had a kerosene heater and we used the "odorless" kerosene and it still smelled up the house, we ended up borrowing a generator because I was getting such bad headaches from the kerosene, just thought i'd throw that in there.

Andy, thanks for the info. I've never had a kerosene heater. I thought it would be good to have in case we lost electricity, but doesn't sound like it would be a good thing for us. I probably better stick with the infrared heater but I hate paying $300.

Also if you are wanting an infared heater i've seen a few on Craigslist, not sure about up in your area, they are good heaters though, just pricey to buy, I want one myself but cant bring myself to pay that much lol.
