As I read Proverbs this morning once again it tells us of wisdom and how wisdom is supreme and that we should follow the wisdom our Father has given us.  Vs. 2 goes on to say I give you sound learning so do not forsake my teaching.  The Lord really spoke to me this morning about this on how He has given me the wisdom to lose weight and to use that wisdom and not forsake it.  You know as dieters we all know what to do and how to stay on the track of good health yet we sometimes don’t want to listen to the wisdom we have.  I know in my life I tend to push the wisdom I have aside.  Why is that? Why is it we get lazy with the wisdom we are given?  Vs. 5. Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them.  The Lord tells us as plain and simple as can be, get wisdom and understanding and don’t forget his words.  Then Vs. 6 tells us Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. I just love that, don’t you?  The Lord is really showing me this morning how important it is to keep wisdom He gives us close to our hearts and to use it, not forsake it, if we do that wisdom will protect us and watch over us, that’s just awesome!

Don’t you all just love the proverbs? I really think if we follow the wisdom and understanding of Proverbs we will forever be changed.  God is so wonderful to give us this wisdom to live by, now what we do with it is up to us.  I know this has really opened my eyes in some areas of my life I need to follow His wisdom and guidance, Thank you Lord!!

Be sure to keep those in Haiti in your prayers, they’ve had another big earth quake, about a 6.1 on the Richter scale.

Daily Devotional

"Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful"
(Joshua 1:8, NIV)

When things don't go the way you planned or something unexpected happens, do you go around complaining, expecting the worst? Or, do you go to God's Word and remind yourself of His promises?

The Bible says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. You have to have faith in order to activate God's promises. When difficulties come and you're tempted to get upset, remind yourself, "This is not going to prosper against me. They may be talking about me. It may look bad. But I know God is my Vindicator. He'll take care of me. I know God has me in the palm of His hand."

When you remind yourself of His promises, you don't have to get worried. You know God is still on the throne. You know that problem didn't come to stay, it came to pass. So today, remind yourself of His promises and feed your faith so that you can move forward in the victory He has prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

" Father in heaven, thank You for every one of Your precious promises. I choose to meditate on Your Word today which brings life to my soul. Fill me with Your peace as I stand in faith until I see the victory You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Good Morning Andy...

Had to get a chuckle at myself as it pertains to your question on why you do not listen to the wisdom you have?  I know for me it is called "the flesh" ~tee hee and crucifying it or lack thereof!

I am struggling ever so strongly with the eating choices this past two weeks... I'm tired of the battle but not willing to give up... and know I need a touch of "the divine".  In some ways it seems like a long long 15 months and in others it has gone by so fast.... but nevertheless I have to deal with the situation I've been given and know right where my strength lies if I'm going to have any!  I'm thankful for that!

Did I just "dump" all these hormone~ic feelings! ~tee hee

Have a good day my faithful friend.

Bec I am right there with ya this last couple of weeks.  For me it's been more of a struggle then it has for quite some time.  I've started working out at a gym 6 days a week, 3 of working out and 3 of just doing cardio plus at home we have the Wii now and I do Wii Fit for about an hour plus play a few games off and on during the day when I have time and yet I'm NOT losing, ugh!!! In fact this morning I weighed and had gained 3lbs, ai yi yi, I told myself I guess I'm gonna have to do liquids for a month lol.  But like you I'm not going to give up, I'll keep on pressing forward.

As I was writting this, the Lord gave me a scripture, maybe it'll help.

Trust me in your times of trouble and I will rescue you, and you will bring me glory. Psalm 50:15 NLT

We'll keep on praying for ya!!

Andy

Hey Andy that's good and true Word!

I have not gained any but have been stalled for a time...I have lost my usual water weight over the pouch test and now it's dig in time... ugh

Sorry you have gained a bit but keep up the good work and I know you will be rewarded.  I too exercise twice a day now again and am trying diligently to drink all the fluid I'm suppose to.  I do the very best if I set my little timer and drink 8 oz every 30 minutes and then I do not feel as hungry either.  The dense meat is sure helping as it does not set as well as other things and I don't feel like eating as much.
