WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY 1-14-10

Oh wasn’t that sun yesterday just beautiful? I sat on the back porch in it and I began to feel some better , the sun does that for me when I am sick. don’t know why I think it may be mental but I really do feel better the warmth of it I can feel all the way down to my bones.

I went to the green house yesterday and planted some flowers that take a long time to geminate, I hope they will come up .

That was about my day yesterday except for sleeping. I am feeling better but not great yet.

JO::: I hope the pain management doctors can do something for your hubby. I know Joes has been a life saver for him. Well don’t know why they cant find something wrong if his urine has too much protein , that isn’t normal and something is wrong.

Will keep him in our prayers.

It got to 60 on our back porch yesterday , the snow was melting like crazy in the back yard but area where it is shady still has lots of snow. Hopefully today will help melt more of it. Snow is pretty until it gets walked on and then starts melting and is just slushy mess.

JEANIE RAE::::: keep busy doing things and the three months will go by fast. I hope you can do better than I can about a food log. I forget to write down stuff and then try to remember , and cant. If I don’t write it down as I eat it I don’t remember and that is part of my problem. I know I have to eat more than I remember I do ….Joe says no but I don’t know….anyway-----

Because we live where we do and we are always doing stuff outside we wear clogs when we are outside and take them off on the back porch …of course not in the snow they might be a little cold but still we always take our shoes off before coming in the house. I got into the habit of that being a nurse. I would take my shoes off and leave the germs of the nursing home outside and I would head straight to the bathroom , remove my clothes , take a shower and put on home clothes, and put work clothes in the washer. Just didn’t like the idea of bringing stuff home.

COLETTE:::: I am praying for you and your hubby. No it isn’t easy taking care of someone when you are sick too. Please take care of yourself too.

SUSIE:::are you keeping warm in your classroom better since you know they are going to keep it cold in there. Do the kids act cold too? If they do you can maybe get them to warm it up some for them.

Yes the sun and warmth yesterday was wonderful and made me feel so much better. 10

Hope you are doing ok

Barbara: how are you feeling without all the extra skin. I know it has to feel different to not have that.

Thanks for giving us the low down on the Sams clubs stores….I knew I didn’t catch all of it but that was a lot for even me to miss lol….

Well I woke up at 3 and couldn’t sleep so got up to do this,,,now I can post it and go back to bed, im sleepy again now.

I didn't neet to wear my heavy coat today and no scarf or gloves.  It's like springtime!!  Well, maybe not quite spring but so much better.  Now we need to get rid of all that dirty snow.

Max saw the pain mgmt doctor and he wants to do a spinal block.  He's not sure he wants to do that.  He has to be off the Coumadin 3 days before the injection.  Tomorrow he is going to another clinic for a second opinion.

The kidney problem is a different issue from the pain he has.  He is collecting his urine in a jug for 24 hours for further testing for the protein problem.  It has to be kept cold so thank goodness for the snow pile on our deck.  No way was that jug going in the fridge.  Just the thought is gross.

I went to the gym for the second time this week last night and I plan to go tomorrow and Saturday.  I've got to make this a habit.

I'm off Friday thru Monday.  The GDs are coming over Saturday afternoon and I promised we would make cookies.

Jeanie, I had to do a 3 month diet and exercise plan and the time did fly by.  I was so used to writing down what I ate being on WWs forever so it was easy for me.  I did lose a few pounds.

Jan, so glad you're feeling better.

Good day OH,

The sun is mostly shining here, haven't been outside but it looks bright and my two ****atiels are staying as close to the window as they can. The only things that frighten them are the other birds outside, they jump when one flies by the window. LOL, maybe they look at them and dream about doing the same thing.

Jan I have the same problem with keeping a food diary, I have to keep it on the table, not grazing and going in the computer room or the bedroom. I am having terrible cravings though, my DH thinks maybe sub-conciously I am trying to eat the things I love the most and know I won't be able to eat them after surger. I don't really crave sweets, but I do crave carbs with salt and fat. LOL you'd think I would be pre-occupied with the risks of the surgery, maybe that is it, don't really know just hoping after a few days will not have so many cravings.

I also have to do daily excercise and since it's too muddy to walk up the drive I have been setting my timer in the kitchen and walking up and down the hallway as quickly as I can, only taking a rest when I start breathing too hard. The excercise re-hab is supposed to call today or tomorrow to get my program set up, can't wait.

Well gotta go, still working on getting my floors cleaned. I bought a Hoover cordless power mop, and charged it before using. I only got the kitchen done and about a foot in the dining room before it went dead. Got it charged so gonna get the laminated floor in the dining room done. Gotta find a nice runner about 8' long to put in front of the counter between the dining room and kitchen. That's where the main entry door is and where they track in all the salt and mud. I swear when the were kids I taught them to wipe their feet at least.

I hope everyone gets to feelin better, you are all in my prayers. I'm really looking forward to COF meeting on the 25th.

Talk to ya all later.
