WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY 1-10-10

Got a call from Kim yesterday , the babies wanted to talk to me. They were all upset and talking a mile a minute about mc donalds on fire….they live in Monett. They were saying they couldn’t go get happy meals now. Evidently you could see the smoke from their house they don’t live very far from there. Lol

Had to almost laugh at them but they were so serious. I told them that there was another mc donalds that they could get happy meals at …I don’t think they believed me lol

Well at least the sun was out yesterday and is suppose to be out again today. I hope so . Maybe some of this snow will melt and my chickens will come out of their coop lol since it snowed they havent been out at all. We had to put their feed and water in there for them . I didn’t know that chickens wouldn’t walk on snow. I have seen that the next door people that have chickens havent been out either.

Poor things. We closed up the north end of the coop last week , im glad they might have froze in there. We only have 6 hens and I think all of them have been getting into the laying nest together. They should , I would , it would keep them warmer lol

Rebel was laying on his back out in the snow today , just rolling back and forth in it. He was having a great time. He is always so happy in the cold and snow. Its in the summer that he suffers. I told Joe we should get him an a/c for his dog house lol

Im so glad that Barbara S. is doing well from her surgery….I know she will love it after the swelling goes down.

JO::::: they may have had a lot of people not go to the orientation to teach people to read. I cant imagine not being able to read can you, how sad. I have always loved to read I don’t as much as I use to due to my eyes hurting when I do and I wind up asleep lol

Let me know the Chili Relleno Puff recipe that sound wonderful …I make bacon, spinach quiche sometimes. Is that recipe without crust or what??

BEC::::::suppose to be 30 here today and then tomorrow and for the next week in the 40s all week don’t know if we can take that lol

Oh my I know about the carbs , wonder what they put in that stuff that makes it so addictive ….I try and try to make myself do only good carbs but they sneek them in , in so many things..I think if we could make ourselves eat only natural simple foods nothing processed we could rid ourselves.

HOW MANY OF YOU WANT TO START THE 5 DAY POUCH TEST We can re

port here on the board how it is going and be honest with each other.

Help us stay on line ,,,it is only 5 days , surely we can do it for 5 days right???

We sure didn’t get that much snow down here. We only got it that one night and day and that was it. It has flurried some but nothing extra…certainly not covering any cars or drifted like that.

Bec maybe you can get online and see if you can go to the website and get your bbq sauce you like.

I have done that on some things. And is cheaper than lots of places too sometimes.

JEANIE RAE::::::isn’t it amazing how quickly the house can get messy when everyone has to stay inside…….I sure hope they arent wrong about this weather….40 for a week is alright with me. That is what the Branson airport is reporting anyway…

I have been working on getting my ball of plarn cut and rolled…lol I have some yellow bags and I cut them up and am putting about 4 of them in a row at intervals. Also have some grayish blue ones too doing like that lol …thought that will be neat. I guess if you want to keep making these you need to get the bags yet at the store once in awhile….you will run out after awhile. Plus I use them in all my little trash cans thru out the house…

What is it Tuesday when you go see Dr. Edwards? Excited? I remember how I was ….oh you need to call your psych and ask them if they have sent their report to Dr. Edwards yet??? They sometimes like to drag their heels. You should be getting a date soon….real soon….we will be waiting right along with you.

Didn’t open up the box for the doll house yet…it is pretty old and the box is all intact completely, don’t know if I might be worth something like it is lol I bought it at a garage sale years ago….in fact about 20 years ago and it was old then lol

SUSIE:::::: well three months worth of work will pay for something else you want soon lol .

I know my attitude will be lots better if it warms up, heck just the thoughts of the promise for next week is enough to make me some happier lol

I just really really really HATE cold and damp weather. If we ever do move to AZ I told Joe we will need to make several casitas out back for all our friends to stay in for the winter. Lol

IM LIKE SUSIE TODAY TOO::::

COME ON HEAT WAVE…

Good Morning Mimi...

I will be starting the 5 day pouch test tomorrow.  Will see how it goes ... may have to do it twice like you say to get myself de~carbed and on trac to lose the rest of this weight. I have lost 120 lbs and want to lose another 30+ or just to where ever I think is best?  I have a goal to be there by April 22nd. Should be a do~able goal I hope?

Will do a post for the next 5 days and let you know how it is going... provided I am able tomorrow night after the teeth extractions... may be Tuesday Morning?

Our chickens will not come out of the house either... Paul has put a heat lamp in there for them and on their water to keep it from freezing... have not been out there to see what he has done but I know him... the
"ladies" are not suffering too much... they are not laying a single egg either and they are eating a WHOLE LOT more than they are laying eggs worth! ~ha  When it first snowed Paul put them out on the snow and he said they HATED it and ran right back in the house! ~ha.... maybe they should go to AZ for the winter too...~tee hee

Have had my coffee and now better get started on the day.

Blessings.

Colette... Thanks for the word of encouragement....Golly Wow I'm dreading the dentist this time!  I'm not particularly fond of pain! ~tee hee  My insurance will pay 100% of the extraction but not any anesthesia for less than 3 at the same time... if I want it I have to pay out of pocket.... I'm thankful for the sedatives that I have and hoping with those and the numbing it will be enough... have to admit I'm nervous about it though...oh well it will be over in a few hours... and a bit of consolation is I WILL sleep good tonight! ~ha

Would dearly love for you to visit...just give me a heads up when you are ready and I'll be simply thrilled to have you!

Will pray all the appts. for you husband go well and he is feeling good!

Hello All;

I have been doing great. I have surprised myself even. I have to make sure that  I don't do too much. I go see the Dr on Thursday. I don't even know if I have staples or stitches. My son never ask questions like that and I was pretty much out of it. I had surgery at 7:30 and was home  by 1 pm. Getting great care here. Family is wonderful help. My Granddaughter is doing most of the help and she is great. Will miss her when she leaves later today.

Wanted to say thanks for the prayers. I appreciate all of you. Feeling kinda weak right now so need to rest.

Hugs

Hi Barb!!!
glad you are doing so well.  Please take it easy.  Before you know it, they will operated on a person and make you get up and walk home.  LOL  Seriously, you are probably better off being at home and not taking a chance of getting infection in the hospital.  (this is a nurse talking -LOL)  So happy for you that all went well.  God bless!!!  Colette

The sun is out here but it's too cold for the snow the melt.  What a mess it will be when it does melt.  They are saying Kansas City's drains aren't up to taking all the water there will be when the snow melts, so it will back up in the streets and freeze overnight.  Guess I'll be wearing my boots till spring.

I made the Chili Relleno dish.  After I made it I remembered I made it once before.  It's ok but I won't make it again.  It's real eggy so that turns me off.  DH liked it so I'm hoping he will help eat it.  It makes 8 WLS servings.  The quiche I mentioned is crustless.

Yesterday I went to WM and they had plenty of footwarmers so I bought several packages.

I plan to do the pouch test but not until I get my protein from BE.  My supply is low right now and I don't have much I like.

My Stephan Ministry class starts up again today.  Ugh.....hate the thought of getting out this afternoon.  The church has been cold every time we've met.  It may be really cold today.  I'll try out my footwarmers and wear a heavy sweatshirt.

I have country ribs and baked potatoes in the slow cooker.  I marinate the ribs in smoke flavoring and season like a brisket.  I used to love them.  Hope I still do.

jo,
how do you make baked potatoes in slow cooker?  Do you wrap in aluminum foil.  Gess I never have done it that way.  ribs sound good.  I will have to try the ribs like I do the brisket.  I love all your new receipes. I have homemade bean soup on.  Trying to use all the leftovers up yet and had some bits and pieces of ham left in freezer.  have a great day.  God Bless, Colette

Jan,
As I type, it is 9degrees here.  Didnt go to church this am.  Hubby has a bad cold and would not let him even attempt it.
Just wanted to tell you I had faith restored in mankind yesterday.  Our young neighbor stopped by to see if we were ok and if we needed anything from town.  I had already got someone to dig out our driveway on friday nite.  Cost me 50.00 but it was worth it.  He said he does not have a blade so shoveled his way out and was going to uncles to borrow a blade. what irritates me is when the grader comes by he clogged up our entrance to driveway so I went out and shoveled it open - took me about 25 minutes.  Boy, it was cold.  It is nice to see the sun again today.  Have a great day.  God bless!  Colette

Good Morning OH,

Jan~ I don't think I would open the box either, at least not until I did some research for find out if it is worth anything, who knows it might be worth enough to pay for your PS. Sure won't hurt to find out.

I got a letter from the phsyc. yesterday with his recomendations and I think there was a cc: to Dr. Edwards, I'm taking the letter with me anyway. Yeah, getting nervous and excited at the same time.

Jo~I'd like to know how to do the baked potatoes also, my youngest son gave me one of those huge travel Crock Pots a couple of years ago, and I just really started using it. Got an oldfashioned pot roast going today. I wait til the last hour before I put the potatoes in it though cause if I put them in too early they break up. Gonna have to try marinating the country style ribs, those are my favorite.

Barb~Happy to read you are doing well. It's good you have family to help you out after surgery. sometimes just having them there makes us more secure.

Speaking of family, my older DS and his DD are here so I'm gonna get this posted and go visit, I won't get to see her for a couple of weeks again.

Everybody enjoy the sunshine and stay warm.
