Its 2010 lets check in! Come on you know you want to!

When I first started coming to this site a month before my surgery there were some people on here that were just having surgery.  Where are they?  I'm wondering how everyone is doing, how the weight loss is going and if you've had any trouble.  Lets do a check in and then you can go back into hiding......PLEASE????  I will even start

I've lost 164lbs, No problems, seems like everything is moving right along and I'm starting to look into some plastic surgery.  Dr. Suttmoeller( funny note spell check wanted to change his name to steamroller LOL)  wanted me to wait until I was 2 years post.  So it won't be long.

Come on lets hear how everyone else is doing! I'm talking about EVERYONE that's on here! It will be fun to see how your doing  ;) Lou

Thought you were leaving out us oldie's until the last of your post and it said everyone. I am nearly 7 years out now. I am having an extended TT Friday at KU Med Center. I lost 130 pounds and doing great.

Noway Barbara! You are my hero!  7 years out and doing so well, its AWESOME to hear!  Best of luck with your TT, I can't wait to get started on my plastic surgery.  Let us know how your doing and keep up the good work! You're going to do great! ;) Lou

 I am still around. I just get busy and don't sit down at the computer. I am over 100 pounds less and haven't had many problems. I have had my first plastic surgery and hope to have more. I still think RNY was the best thing I  have done for myself.

Im 13 months out....started out at 222 and down 125 lbs in 5 months....
Have a had a few problems along the way, but getting them under control as each day passes...
My surgery was the best thing I could have ever done for myself....I can truly say that I'm happy and love life now....

I am still around.  Probably considered a lurker.  My heaviest weight was 296.  I am now 165.  I still would like to lose a little more.  I am very happy with myself though.  I have only had a couple of problems.  I had my gallbladder out Nov of 08 and low Ferritin levels.  That was my fault though for not taking care of myself.  I have since gotten back on track.  I was busy taking care of everyone else and forgot me.  I graduated college in 2009 and got my first legal job.  I hope 2010 will be even better.

I started at 310 and am now at 150.  I feel great!
My son had the RNY on 12/30/09 and he is doing great.  He just got his drain out today and he is more energetic now than I have seen him in years.  I am so proud of him.

I'm here most days.   I do wonder about a few that had surgery about the time I did.  They were on here before surgery and after for a short while, but never  post now.  I would love to know how they are doing.

No complications for me and I'm so happy with the results.  I did lose some hair about 3 months out but wigs took care of that.  I have so much more energy.  Shopping in the petite department has been such fun.  For most of my life, I avoided mirrors.  Now I don't mind seeing my image in a full length mirror. 

I started needing to lose 106 lbs. to my personal goal.  I've lost 70 and I'm happy with my appearance, but not the numbers on the scale.  My surgeon wants me to lose another 20 lbs.  I'm working on it but not stressing about it.

Got my drain and staples out yesterday one week post op!! Yay! (Hi Joann!! )
I have had more pain than I expected since surgery and am trying to deal with that as well as walk and take in the liquids and enough protein too!
Had scrambled egg for breakfast...felt like the yummiest meal I have had in forever!!!!
Hope 2010 is a great year for us all!
