WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY 1-4-10
Well I got out twice yesterday…once early in the morning to see how deep the snow was and then around noon to see how much more we had gotten at first it was 31/2 inches at noon was 5 so pretty good size snow. Highway trucks were by here with snow plows about noon….so the roads should be fairly clear.
Made some snow ice cream, since George had never eaten any….he said it was different lol not sure if that is good or bad. I guess you have to be a little kid to think it is good and then you think it is wonderful for the rest of your life . But I think it is because you have your childhood memories that go along with it.
Not a lot to report today since I didn’t do much of anything yesterday….watched football GO COWBOYS yea!!!! Was disappointed that the Texans wont get in the playoffs. Wow KC sure beat the Broncos ….anyway as you can see that is all I did yesterday besides making chili…
BARBARA::::: I hope you made it out and back home in one piece yesterday….I am sure your husband did have to work 12 hours it didn’t stop snowing here until about 2pm….
Jo ::::: you pumpkin oatmeal sounds different . Im not real fond of pumpkin other than in breads so don’t know , I may try it tho. With the berries and nuts and stuff it probably will be great. …
They will probably put a poly urathane coat over it after making sure it is totally clean. I don’t know for sure but that is what I would try if it was me.
Im like you about not worrying so much about size but how I feel , even tho here lately havent felt too great . I can not keep my self regulated I get so constipated ….I eat 4 to 6 prunes a day. Take 2 laxitives daily and take fish oil and nothing is keeping me going. It is all the protein but I was doing well and then all of a sudden ….just stopped. I know TMI
Jeanie ::::: I always said that I thought a motor home would be too confining and I wouldn’t have any place outside to grow stuff but what I might could do is grow stuff at different places. Like parking at my sisters house for spring and planting stuff for her then when it started getting too hot go see some sites up north…even going up into Canada ….then as it got colder come back down to AZ at my daughters and plant a winter garden there at her house lol etc etc. I can see doing all of that lol
I hope real estate will go back up …I don’t think it will go back up to the point it was , which was too high but I think it will level itself out….maybe we can form a caravan of motor homes with others lol

Brrrr.... Wow now I get out in all kinds of cold but gee willikers it's only to be 1 degrees for the high here in a couple of days...egads and I don't know -what for the low? That will give that new face mask I got a real true test I guess... I know I really like it so far... it is "breathable" and my face does not burn like it did last year when it was real cold....
Well we got AJ all moved into her first apartment...she seemed real happy with it. It was fun watching her enjoying the excitement of her very own 1st place. I kept remembering moving into my 1st place and how fun it was.
Had a visit with the mil and sil's made... cooked the New Years Eve Dinner there and did a bit of shopping.
Have to get my self VERY busy today as I tore my place up giving furniture to AJ for her place so have to get my house all straightened up for Debbie Darl'n is coming tomorrow to stay a couple of days... she will have her check up with Dr. H. from the gall bladder surgery if the weather is not too bad?
Boy do I have the "projects to get done now? Lots and lots and lots of projects.... lot of varnishing and staining, sewing... can't even think of all that right now though have to put on foot in front of the other for this week... have to have a root canal I am praying and hoping against hope that maybe I will not have to have one! Since I took the antibiotics I have not had any more trouble with the tooth so maybe I don't need the root canal... it was just an infection? Will have a crown for sure though...
Mimi I feel your misery about the cold even though it does not bother me like it does you... can just see you down there all wrapped up in those covers shivering... I was out after dark running last night home from visiting with the neighbor lady... it was not bad at all... the snow was still powdery and not slick but that will change here quickly I'm sure.
Well better get busy on the day I sure have enough to keep me busy that's for sure...

I got nothing done this weekend at all. I am so far behind in everything. I sure hope I can get myself in gear today. Stay inside if possible.
Jan, the oatmeal doesn't have a strong pumpkin taste. DH didn't know it had pumpkin in it until I told him.
As for the regulation problem, have you tried Miralax? I'm using that, mixing it into a shake, and it's working pretty well. I really need 2 servings a day. I'm using the Walgreen brand which is cheaper.
I made the SF Pecan Pie yesterday and it was ok but I've never really liked Pecan Pie. DH loved it. I made Apple Enchiladas that I really like. I'll post that recipe.
I hope real estate goes back up too. DH is concerned about not being able to do the yardwork so he's talking about moving where yardwork is done. His daughter and her husband live 10 minutes away and said if we moved to Raytown they would be able to help us. That's never happened. We help them with the kids. We paid $25 to have our driveway cleared. I don't like Raytown, but I do like my house and the thought of moving is not something I want to even think about.

Im so ready for this snow to go away, we have to park our car at the club house cuz they havnt plowed our streets here, guess its the owners responsibility and he's out of town. Our street is a lil hill and I almost didnt get it out last night, went and bought about 100lbs of kitty litter to weigh down the back of the car, that seems to help. Guess we are in for a big snow storm come wed. night into thursday, ugh!! Thank goodness Susan is off thursday and friday.
Well I'm gonna go get a few things done here, hope everyone is staying warm, even tho the sun is shining its only 18 right now, bbbrrrrr. Have a great day!

Well I think I have survived just about the worst cold I can remember ever having, just still coughing but pcp says not to worry unless I keep doing it for more than another week.
Got ahold of DH's Pulmonary Dr. and they put him back on Prednisone, since they are sure he has chronic bronchitis as his underlying COPD this will probably be the norm for him.
Got my call from Dr. Edwards office, go to the initial consult on Tues. the 12th of Jan. So next week I should know what my regimen will be. Gonna try to go get our protein powder at WM tomorrow, DH wants to try it for snacks to see if he can get his weight down by about 20 lbs. So I guess he'll be my protein shake buddy.
So Jan guess I gotta put off the trip to AZ, at least this year, bu****ch out next year I might just be there.
I like looking at the snow but I'm like Susie, I like southern snow. I does make the property look pretty when it's all covered with white.
Hope everbody stays warm, gonna get this posted and maybe go to bed early. Talk to ya all tomorrow.
