HAPPY NEW YEAR ,,,,2010 WOW I never thought when I was a kid that we would ever see or at least I would never live to see 2000. That was just so old ..lol now I don’t think so at all. I feel young and energetic. If I looked younger I would be totally happy….maybe a face lift next year…I think since we are here this winter I am going to go Monday and see if the nursing home needs another part time nurse…I think I could work at least 2 days aweek….maybe George can get a job in the kitchen or laundry or maintentance dept. then we could ride to work together.

Looks like this cold miserable weather is staying around for at least another week. Good grief. It was cold yesterday….I got a few more pots cleaned out but still have lots of them to go…most of the little ones are clean tho so I can wait on the big pots.

Went thru my 2010 calendar today and marked all the important things I need to remember in it.

Like birthdays, anniversary, and CMA rallys at Hatfield. Paydays and support meetings for COF and CMA…looks like we are busy lol

Barbara:::: if I had a sewing machine I would make me a couple more of the snuggies. I have a twin size fleece blanket and no twin size bed …could make one out of that easy I guess. It might not be wide enough…

Yeah I think everyone needs to have something to do with their hands, it helps keep the mind from wandering to food. Lol

Susie::::: I think I am going to get Jeanie-Rae to tell me what all we need to make the grocery bags and will post what all we need then if anyone wants to do them they can bring their own supplies. Like plastic groc bags and sissors and what else she needs wonder if it is big crochet needle or what?

I still freeze all the time….and like you said some times when I get cold I cant get warm at all. Especially my feet.

SUSAN:::: knee is ok I guess , it just gets cold and wont move much lol need to add heaters to them some how….did you say that the nursing home is working short handed? My grandson and I will probably be up there Monday, will take him by to see if they have anything available and I may see if they will hire me back as a nurse a couple of days a week….that would be enough and maybe make this winter go by faster.. I hate winter. Lol I use to love it because I could get cooled off but I hate it now.

don’t you just feel so tiny now??? Wearing small tops. Have you tried on any jeans yet to see what size you are in??

JO ::::lol never say never it will happen once in a while but that is ok it isn’t the end of the earth when we mess up…I think that is something we all have to learn…I think before when we would diet and slip off the wagon we would throw up our hands and say (oh well I cant do it so it is no use) I think most fat people are perfectionist lol I know but just think about it …..if you couldn’t do the diet exactly right you didn’t do it. wasn’t any use , I think one of the best lessons I have learned is that if I slip it is ok I can eat right from then on or the next day or what ever. One slip doesn’t make the tool not work. ….

Yuck I cant eat yogurt. I try and try because it is good for us but I just cant get it down ….

Yeah I know I quit making new years resolutions too. Lol they were always the same thing to lose weight and to exercise lol never did either one. Yes it is great to be satisfied with my weight now. I would like to lose about 20 pounds but if I don’t im ok too. I know I am short and a size 10 isn’t tiny but when you get to be older as I am you don’t really want to be skinny Minnie.

Hope you are having fun tonight…I love going to hockey games. Get to yell and scream a lot lol

No I have never tried the cookies and cream I didn’t like the lumps in it lol but might be fine in coffee since it might make the cookies in there softer….

LORI:::: it has been a long time since you have posted and I can hear the happiness and change in you thru cyberspace .lol Im happy for you that you are so happy….glad the kids are all doing so well too.

Yes our spouses and kids do benefit from us changing the way we cook. I know Joe has lost weight just from me not frying everything. And using Splenda instead of sugar , whole wheat flour instead of white , things like that . It does make a difference for sure.

I hope that 2010 is the greatest year that you have ever had. That you and your kids are healthy and happy .hope to see you on here more often….COF is still meeting the fourth Monday of each month and still in the Library. Come some time. Would love to see you now….

HOPE EVERYONE HAS THE GREATEST 2010 LOVE , HAPPINESS, JOY AND FRIENDSHIP. THESE ARE THE THINGS I AM WISHING FOR ALL OF YOU.

Happy New Year from Raytown!!  The cold temps are here for another week so the snow won't be melting.

Can't say I enjoyed the hockey game.  I'm just not into sports other than basketball.  I do like that.  We had dinner at On the Border.  After 18 months, I still order too much.  One taco would have been enough.  I tried ordering a taco and a chicken enchilada but the server said it was the same price as the dinner with rice and beans.  I don't eat rice at all but I ordered the dinner.   A couple bites of the enchilada insides and the taco and I was full.  I brought home the beans and enchilada.  We should have shared a meal.  We don't eat out very much so going forward I need to order really small or we share.

Yes, Jan, when I was on other programs, I could be perfect for seveal days then have a meal that I didn't know how to count or it wasn't something on the plan, I would feel like a failure so that was it until my new week started.  Seeing myself in a full length mirror could depress me for days.  Not any more.  I don't want to sound vain, but I like what I see in the mirror.  If I eat something I shouldn't, I forget it and move on.

There's something about NYD that makes me want to clean.  I've cleaned the kitchen cabinets, sinks and the table.  I need to reorganize my bookcase and some storage bins.

I read about a protein called Profecto(?) at Target.  Someone on another board said she couldn't find any protein powder she liked but likes this product and puts it in water.

I read about the 5 Day Pouch program and may do it later but I'm not ready to do that right now.  I have an appointment with my surgeon on Jan. 7th, but I'm going to reschedule.  I've only lost 3 lbs. since I saw him in July.  His exercise guru would ream me out.  She's the only one I see on his staff that I would like to avoid.  She wants me to exercise 7 days a week and that's never going to happen.

Well, I must get busy.  I have the heaters going in the craft room so I hope to work out there this afternoon.

Happy New Year!!!!  We had a blast last night.  Our food was really good at the restaurant and the band was great at the bar.  I had a couple of pomegranate martinis over the evening and they were yummy.  I need to figure out how to make those.  I'm worn out today just from the entire day yesterday.  I think I got up at 630 am and we went to bed @ 330 this am.  So needless to say today has been nothing but sleeping and being lazy.  Its been great.  Here is a pic of my outfit I wore.  It was so much fun this year finding something to wear.  At the bottom is Frank and I.

HAPPY NEW YEAR OH,

Jan, Still a little sick, can't get rid of the congestion, went and got some tussin cough syrup and some corcidan for my Hubby, we looked at the warnings and there is a part that says to ask dr. if you have emphysema or chronic bronchitis, and he has cb and I have emphy.. So we are gonna try to just do our breathing treatments, use the tussing and saline and suck on SF cough drops. I feel a lot better today. Sure am glad that we didn't have the meeting now cause I know who ever would have shown up would be sick.

About making bags, of cours you need grocery bags, a size N aluminum hook and sharp scissors. I will see if I can copy and paste the pattern and directions I got off the internet for free. It's a little difficult the first few times but once you get used to working with the plastic yarn it's easy and everyone that sees mine wants them.

Lou, what an awesome outfit, you and your hubby look so happy.

I'm gonna post this now, been a long day for me. God Bless and hope everyone has a wonderful year.
