WHATS HAPPENING NEW YEARS EVE 2009

NEW YEARS EVE::::2009 SO tomorrow we start writing 2010 wow…remember the scare over 2000? Some were so sure that the year 2000 was the end, now it is 2012 well two more years to see if that happens…lol I think the world as we know it might change a lot…elect rationed and only the rich can afford it…same with all the other things that we all take for granted. I think everyone should be prepared at all times to be able to support yourselves. I wish I had the money to get my house on solar but it cost so much , to just get it started.

Got all my seed trays cleaned and ready to plant seeds in them…need to find a small ventless propane heater for the green house. Once I plant seeds I need to keep it fairly warm at least 60 to 70 degrees. The ones that need to be warmer will go on the top shelves…I have a tray of tomatoe seeds already planted and they are here in the house on the end of the table. Lol this variety take a long time to get big enough to plant so I give them a good start off early …this year I am here to be able to give them a good head start.

Do you have any New Years Resolutions??? I am starting the 5 day pouch test tomorrow…want to get the carb monster under control …and get my pouch re-set like it was before. It is something that a person needs to do once in a while …it isn’t a fad diet, just helps get you back on the right pathway…I have gotten a little off the beaten path with Christmas , I didn’t have any trouble the two years before but this one I guess I thought I was normal lol

My resolution is that I will get back to eating right and leave the junk alone. By junk I mean anything white mainly…no sugar, no pasta, no white flour, no gravy, no biscuits, lol just need to do lots of water and lots of protein.

SUSIE;:::: hey I have an idea that will save you lots of money and another surgery , just wear that girdle all the time. Lol just kidding. I don’t know how you could get it on without hurting , I can get the good ones on that hold all of our loose skin but they hurt my insides. don’t know if it is because im so short waisted or what but it always feels like my guts are being squashed. Especially now with the pouch being right out in front …have you ask Margie if they know a plastic surgeon that takes tri care? I bet they do.

Good luck on finding one. Try using this website .they have a lot of them listed on here too.

I wish we weren’t so far away from me too. Springfield is about the same distance from me as it is from you. Plus I have about half of it in curves and hills and I mean curves on small two lanes. It takes me any where from one and half hour to two hours to get there. It is a chore to get there sometimes.

JO:::: I know what you mean about the protein but I have tried so many of them over the three year period and the only one I like is vanilla protein powder. I can put it in anything. I put it in puddings, and most of the the things you bake you can put it in. but I make smoothies a lot with frozen fruit. A little splenda, 4oz milk and scoop of protein powder. I drink it with a straw and you don’t taste any of the bad taste lol I know they say no straws but I get more air trying to drink without a straw. Anyway that gives you 30 mg of protein right there and I can do those a couple times a day and with making either coffee or hot choc with a scoop of protein powder in it that’s another 30.…some people say that the protein powder wont disolve but I put ho****er from the tap on it and stir untill it is then pour in the coffee.

Just experiment with making things with the powder you are a good cook you should be able to come up with something. Oh for something different with coffee, I sometimes add a package of hot choc mix in it…sort of different like a capachino. On OH there is a recipe area that has lots of different ways to mix the powder up and with different things. Yuck on the pumpkin shake that is plain nasty….do you like egg nog it taste pretty good with it mixed with that. Some make the orange Julius with orange juice and milk too then the protein powder. Like I said you are a good cook you should be able to come up with your own that you love. Or at least like pretty good. Lol

BARB::: yes the old sweater sleeves work pretty good for leg warmers. And I ordered me some from a dance place online . Then I went and bought some good thick socks for wearing around the house too. I also got a pair of fuzzy boot house shoes for Christmas. And I know everyone makes fun of them but my daughter got me a snuggie to use when I sit down at night to watch tv. I just freeze when I sit down and sit still for more than 10 minutes . I hate winter and don’t know if we will ever stay around here for another one.

JEANIE=RAE:::::: You take care of that cold and get well , you need to start taking all the vits and protein now before surgery to get yourself in good health, and with the extra protein it will help you heal fast after surgery.

Sure wish I could see how you do the grocery bags. That sounds like something I could learn to do to help pass this cold winter weather. I have plastic grocery bags coming out my ears. Maybe next month you can bring some and show me how to do it. From the cutting of the bags to how you put them together. Sounds interesting…a good way to recycle .

Will keep you in my prayers and your hubby too…get well.

LOU::::: well it is party night , tonight lol….Joe and I will be here at home , maybe shoot off a shot gun at midnight lol that is about as wild as we get. Exciting huh? We use to do the party thing but just don’t any more. The year seems to come in without us doing anything .lol

Oh I got hold of Karen and she said that it might be best to wait a couple of months , especially on a summer cottage . So I guess I will wait and maybe advertise it myself off and on locally and see what happens.

Well going to close with a special HAPPY NEW YEARS to each and every one of you will see you next year in 2010

Happy and Healthy New Year to all my friends!!!!

I don't make resolutions anymore, it seems like everytime I do, I have failed and then it just puts stress on me and I don't need it. LOL

Jan, I have a snuggie too and gave each grandkid  one for Christmas. Something they all wanted including the boys. LOL They work don't they? I even bought the dog one.....she loves it and doesn't ask to take it off...LOL Really is cute and of course it's Pink!

I love the idea of making the bags.....maybe something we could learn at boot camp during down time?

Won't be going anywhere tonight. We learned early on in our marriage, New Year's Eve is a good time to stay home and stay safe. Hubby just snores a little louder at midnight.....LOL

I am thankful for my family. I have the greatest in-laws in the world!

Please stay save tonight!!!

Hugs

I plan to be home safe and snug in bed at the stroke of midnight. DH couldn't stay awake that long anyway so we stay home. I used to at leas****ch the new year come in by myself but I found out it happens even if I don't.

I expect 2012 to come and go uneventful but I also wish I could get off the grid. I want a windmill generator. I live on top of a hill and the wind blows a  lot. They are very expensive. It would take longer than my lifetime to see a profit.

I have to laugh about the snuggie because I got one for Christmas. Its not as thick as I would like but I got the leopard print. It was a gift. I have joked about them because all they are is a robe you wear backward. I am doing a little better on freezing all the time but there are days I get cold and can never warm up.

Maybe we can have a craft lesson at the next meeting. Doing something with my hands keeps my mind off food when I get the munchies.

I am thankful for my home  and all my friends.

Susan, our office closed at noon Wednesday and we were given New Year's Eve as a holiday to thank us for all our hard work this year.

Tomorrow I'm going to work out in my woman cave.  I need to arrange things so I can set up my Gazelle and have room to do my exercise videos.  Richard Simmons was on QVC today with his set of 7 CDs.  Not sure I can stand to listen to him though.

Had to chuckle of your comment about Richard... I have that problem too but his plan was solid as a rock as far as being healthy... I lost 80+ lbs twice using his Deal~A~Meal program.  But........ I didn't handle the "drama" part of it very well either... I guess I'm just not a very "emotional" type person and I just didn't "hug myself"  very well! ~tee hee

How much were the seven CD's?  I have two of his exercise videos and have used them quite a bit over the years.

I want to encourage you with the exercise this year... I know you can do it!  And you will! Yea!

In the past I was never able to hook up the pistons on my gazelle it was too hard but now I can actually do 30 minutes with them hooked up!

You go dear lady... I will be cheering you on!

Where did the year go?  For the second year, I'm not eating everything in sight because I'm going to join WWs and never ever cheat again.  I did eat some things this holiday season that I shouldn't, but I also learned a lesson......don't eat those things because they are bad for me.

We got to leave work at noon yesterday and I'm off till Monday.  I really appeciate them giving me this paid time off.

I tried the Cinnamon Bun protein powder in my coffee and it tasted okay so I can use it.  I'm going to order some samples.  I googled free protein powder and it came up with some places that had it but when I went to the sites, it wasn't free.  I don't mind paying for it but I don't want to pay a lot of shipping fees.  Netrition.com has a $4.95 shipping charge no matter how much you order so I'll probably order from them.  Unjury wanted $6 for a coupld of sample packs.

Jan, have you tried the Cookies & Cream flavor at Walmart?  I love Greek God's yogurt an it has only 4 grams or protein.  I'm going to start adding a scoop of protein to that.  When I eat pudding I can add it to that.  I have a lot of Eggface's recipes so I need to make some of them that have added protein.

I've heard about the 5 day pouch test.  I probably need to check it out.

I quit making New Year's resolutions a long time ago.  Of course, losing weight was always at the top of the list and it never happened.  It feels so good to be comfortable with how I look and not be obsessing about how fat I am so I guess that's what I'm thankful for today.

We're going to on The Border for dinner then to the hockey game.

Everyone, have a safe New Year's Eve!!

I tried the walmart cookies and creme and it was way to sweet for me. I gave it to my son. If you want sweet  you might like it.

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE ! ! !

I am going to try this again, I just wrote a real LOOOOONG post for the first time in a very long time and I wasnt done and it didnt post!? I wanted to tell you all how things have been going, we are all happy and healthy. I dont think I have ever been this happy or healthy in my life. I have my days that I dont get all my protein in, but most days I do or come real close. I am doing well with my vitamins. The kids are doing well, getting big ! Jordan is 15, Jarett is 13 and Jazlyn is now 8.

Jazlyn had her 8th bday party at the roller skating rink and that was the first time I have roller skated in about 20 years!! It was alot of fun! Its a great feeling when you are told by the ones that you love how great you look and when you go shopping and get to shop in single digit sizes. I dont ever remember being this healthy or small. Small? Did I just say that? Its crazy because I always say smaller... NOT small. ha ha! Its a great feeling being satisfied with myself. I dont ever remember feeling so good and having self confidence. I havent been able to get on here for a while, we just moved to a bigger and newer home and just got our internet turned back on and this weekend we are up by St. Joe and it is cold as all get out!! I  just realized a few minutes ago, that I am only 20 lbs away from my goal. That is nothing!! I can do it!! I now have lost more then I weigh... thats sooooo cool!!! I am wanting to stay about where I am, then have my panni and breast reduction ( I just need the extra skin taken off) I am not sure if that is still considered a reduction? There isnt much left cup size compared to where I was...I wonder how much weight I would loss with the panni? I am soooo excited!! The husband and kids are all well. My husband and I have had ups and downs since having surgery, but now we are better then ever!! I am soooo glad! I want to wish everyone a GREAT, HAPPY , SAFE AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR!!!

I am going to try my best to get back on here more and stay around. I am so happy with myself, my life how well things are going for my whole family. We have had some rough times in 2009 with the passing of our beloved Grandma and dog. Molly would of been 1 tomorrow, she was a New Years Puppy, but she was over dosed by a vet and develped brain damage and I had to put her to sleep. My Grandma had Alzheimers and is in a better place. We have had alot of ups and downs, but I am very excited for the new year and cant wait to see what this year will bring.

Jazlyn is playing Basketball for the church through the Upward program. Jarett is about to start Basketball through the Middle School. He just finished up with Wrestling and won 1st place for City Championships here in Joplin. Also, he won 2nd for a tournament in Seneca. He has done very well. Jordan wrestles for the High School and does well, but doesnt get to Wrestle much because he is a light weight at 140 and 5'10. Jarett is a heavy weight at 170 and 5'7. He has slimmed down so much since I had the surgery, I think alot of it is he has built up alot of muscle with the weights, exercise bike and our bowflex. Also, he played football this year for the Middle school. Jarett played center, defensive end, receiving team, and kick off team, long snapper... Plus, I think my cooking alot healthier has helped alot too!
