Morning all...

Shortly after I had surgery and made it around my "country mile" (4 miles) for the 1st time (thanks to my inspirations Barb and Andy) I made a commitment to the Lord that if he would give me the strength I would walk at least that every day for one year.  Little did I know what good that would do me... both physically and spiritually!  I established a prayer life like I had not had previously and it has been simply wonderful.  I'm thankful that the Lord used that to do a good work in me...not only the discipline it took to actually do it but that I far exceeded that goal! Yippee I know I could not have done that in my own strength... I had NEVER been that disciplined about exercise EVER in my life to that extent.  Over the year I got to walk in some WONDERFUL places... and see the very wonder and hand of God in so many things both in the beauty of the landscapes and the things He spoke to me while I was out there!  Thru this, the exercise is an established practice in my life now and I still have not missed a single day of exercise since October 22nd 2008... I do not walk the four miles anymore but I do run two! Simply amazes me that I can even do that...especially since before surgery I couldn't even stoop over without my guts feeling like they were going to come out my mouth.. that's gross but it's how I felt!  I want to say more blessings I have but I will wait till tomorrow...~ha I have lots and lots of them!  It sure does help when you "choose" to see the good things in your life and "choose" to minimize the trials and struggles you have.

Now... Guess what it was that was hauled on the flat bed trailer?  13 units of cabinets for my laundry room! WONDERFUL GIFT! He already has them just set in place and it's going to be FANTASTIC!  The two wheels were the dolly he moved them around on... the stinker... Crystal gave me a gold and diamond cross necklace that I had wanted and a beautiful table top jewelry box~ BIG one... she got great deals at Penney's on both! and AJ gave me an Ipod shuffle to use when I exercise! WOW was I blessed! I almost even got a Gator!!! Paul had found one on Craigslist but when he got down there yesterday it had been "grossly" misadvertised... just not meant to be at this time.

All those things was lots and lots more blessings!

Boy do I have the work to do now... My last day of work at Penney's will be New Years Day... and then I have a huge job of finishing the cabinets. The neighbor lady helped me clean the Victorian chairs that my sil had in a fire... I still have the table to do but it is not near as bad as the chairs was... boy was it a job to get the smoke damage out of those cracks... it took us a whole day to do the six chairs but they look nearly as good as new!  The sil had only had the the set for a couple of month before her house had burnt. The insurance would not pay to have it restored and told her to throw it away so she asked me if I wanted it. I also have a china cabinet to re finish that will go wonderfully with the set.

I even have a new digital camera if I could just figure out how to use it I will post some pics of the various "projects" when I get going on them....

I will be redoing my office area into a prayer/study going to make a cabinet into a computer armoire to hide the mess... have lots on the plate for the new year.  My mom dropped off a beautiful set of plaques I had seen in Hobby Lobby... that will go wonderful in this room.  Another blessing.

Am going to put a coat of polyurethane on all my cabinets as well.  I have some water damage around the sinks and such... whew that's lots to do... but first I'm going down and help the neighbor lady do her kitchen cabinets... a trade for her helping me do the chairs.

Well I have lots and lots of blessings to report but better go exercise and get ready for work... I have a 5 days left of the job... that was another blessing in it's self.

Have a good and wonderful day all.

Bec
