YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THE SUN THE SUN but it was still so cold lord I kept going outside to hang out and would about freeze every time good grief it was cold. I hope today is better. Is suppose to be 50 today , you notice I said is suppose to be…I don’t trust them anymore…lol

Joe found the leak but had to tear the whole bathroom almost completely out…it was the tub drain and he couldn’t get to it under the house wasn’t enough room under there. Wonder if you could pay someone to go under there daily with a small hand shovel and saw and cut out the roots and dig the dirt out from under there lol wouldn’t that be a horrible job? So now he is having to redo the bathroom floors from the joists up ….some of the decking was so wet and already starting to get soft so he found in our piles of lumber some treated lumber to put in there …naturally the linoleum got torn so we have some of the laminate like we put in the rest of the house left over and will just go ahead and lay it in the bathroom too. Will look better anyway.

I have got to get to Kohls today, I have 60.00 worth of Kohls cash and I need some more presents so I am going to use that and I have a coupon for 25% off of anything I go over that lol so I should be able to get some stuff. I will have to have George take me since Joe has got to get the rental house put back together. We have a buyer coming Monday to look at the house. Im not too sure about him tho…I don’t get good feeling about him from his phone calls. don’t know why just sort of get a creepy feeling about him…usually when I don’t trust that feeling ab out someone im always very very sorry.

I tell everyone that God gave you those feeling for a reason so use them.

BEC::::a smile and a kind word when you are shopping and in a hurry means a lot . You have a great personality for a salesclerk. And I wouldn’t be surprised if they continued to use you in the new year.

So what size are you now? I would imagine that working on your feet all day might be some good exercise too.

JO:::::I have a good Cashew chicken recipe with the sauce and everything. I use to make it for my residents’ when I managed a residential care facility. They loved it.

So how many days do you get to wear jeans nowlol

SUSIE::::: so glad that you are doing so well since your plastics. Wow that is really good

Sugar said that is what she would like to have done…mine look horrible but I would rather have my face done if anything.

Will keep your son in my prayers.

JEANIE=RAE::::::that would be fun to get several together and then you could help us learn how to make the tamales….Andrew said he would make a bunch and bring me some down …oh wow yummy.

Your plans for Christmas sound really good. That is what I want to do with my family while they are down…

SANDY::::: Is that your name? do you run a day care center?

Im so glad that Colette is your angel…she had surgery quite some time ago and can tell you lots of good info.

We are all waiting for you over by the losers bench…lol who would have ever thought that you wanted to be called a loser. You have a great doctor so don’t worry… we will all be praying for you.

Sandy~ I'm just starting my journey, had my phsyc eval last week, just waiting to hear from Dr. Edwards in Springfield for my first consult with him. Just wanted to let you know that this is a great support group, they can usually answer any questions you have and keep all of us beginers in their prayers. My heart is with you, and I will be joining you on the losers bench, soon hopefully.

I hate recovery. I am so ready to get back to normal. I called about my drains(I am not draining much at all) and they said I would be ok till Monday. I think I will feel so much better then. I am still sleeping in the recliner because of the  drains. I am not in any real pain just  have a tight burning type feeling. I know it means its healing. I still have no swelling so I am very grateful.
The weather man says maybe snow again at the end of the week. I will believe it when I see it. As long as the roads are clear Monday and the flights are on time. My  youngest is coming home for Christmas.

Sandy I will say a prayer for you tomorrow. I know you are in good hands and will be so happy when its over. Keep us posted.
I have been feeling a little down and I hope its just because I am couped up  but Lord knows I have enough to worry about.  Things have been so crazy around here lately. It really strange not having a home church during the holidays. We just do not feel like we can go back considering  how they handled running the pastor off. I guess baptists are never happy. I think we might look into methodist or non denominational. Small town churches have too many politics and that ruins the experience.
I didn't get everything done I wanted to this year but we did adopt a soldier in Iraq and bought coats for three school kids. DH  took a bag of toys for toys for tots and a bag of food for the food drive.  Just doesn't seem like enough. There is so much need in the area and I feel like I have been so blessed. I look at my troubles compared to others and I do not feel so bad. Things could be so much worse.
well I guess I have rambled enough and need to get my afternoon nap in- haha. Stay warm.

Susie,
Hang in there girl!  A lot of things happening in your life and mothers always worry about their children.  Being a little down could be a result of being couped up.  I know I have to get out even if its just to town every couple days.  The burning is probably healing like you suspect.
Wanted to comment on the pastor thing since my DH is a pastor.  A pastor can never please  all the people and they all expect him to be perfect, and his wife and their children.  Its a tough life but I feel very blessed that God chose us.   I am a firm believer that God will help and sustain your pastor.  Please pray for him.  I hope you will soon find a new church home, where you feel the love and warmth but most of all where the true gospel is preached.  God Bless, Colette

I love the sunshine, if it would only get up to the 60's and stay there for the rest of the winter months it would make me happy. I don't know what happened last night but the power went off and of course we are all electric, except for the medium sized ventless propane heater we just bought. My older son Ronnie hooked it up to the propane tank outside last week and made sure it works, he just happened go be coming down the road on his way home and said it was dark in the whole area south of Seymour, so he came to our place and lit the little heater and we had the little battery lanterns lit up getting ready for the night with no power and the power came back on, guess that was our practice run.

Jan I have a bag of stuff from my kitchen that was taken out before the remodel and I've been looking for the things inside it thinking maybe the kids took the stuff home and didn't return them, it's on my deck and I keep looking out there thinking I need to take a box and go out and go through it, but it's still cold. I don't think it's gonna get to 50 today.Just call me chicken.

Gonna go get my H1N1 tomorrow. Webster county said they have it, so guess I better get it now.

I hope everybody is doing good and staying healthy. I promised my husband some home made sugar free chocolate pudding, I think he's feeling left out cause I'm making some fudge and other types of sweets for the grandkids, sometimes I think he's a big kid. So gonna post this and get busy.

Talk to ya all later.

Jeanie,

I had to laugh at  power going off.  I too live out in the boonies and we are all electric.  Once we were without electric for 4 days.  Ouch, it was cold.  I had a oil lamp to see period.  Dont want to experiece that very often.  God Bless !!  Colette

Hi everyone!  I'm still kicking! ;)  Just busy getting ready for the holidays and having fun with my friends.  I've been out dancing and just having fun.  I can't believe the energy I have.  Look out world.  LOL  My son Gage leaves Friday for sunny Arizona and if he could only rub it in a little more.  I guess I'm ready for Christmas, I do need to pick up two small gifts but other than that I'm done.  On the weight loss front:  The last two weeks I only lost ounces.  Bummer, but then this week I step on the scale and I lost 2.6 lbs! YAY!  So I'm still plugging along.  I just need to hit my personal goal.  I've lost 162 lbs. I feel so blessed with this journey.  Preops I just want you to know that its totally worth the wait and the details that have to be ironed out to get the surgery.  I jumped threw hoops for 7 months to get this surgery and I'm here today at 14 months out feeling unbelievable!  I never imagined in my whole life I would feel like this.  Susie I can't wait to see your results! Jan did you get your rent house listed?  I hope everyone has a wonderful day.  I am meeting a friend at Haruno for sushi.  I swear I could eat it daily! ;) Lou

Jan,
Thought about you today as I like to bake breads too.  Found a big bag of bananas for 99 cents and that is a bargain.   So I am making loaves of banana nut bread for older shut ins and will give it to them on Sunday.  Will wrap it up really nice with a bow.  God Bless!  Colette
