WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY DEC 13

Days like yesterday make me so miserable, all I want to do is sleep until it stops raining….but it is suppose to be pretty today. Sunny and 50 that is a great day just thinking about it…today I start my walking back again. My knee I think will do the block so I will see. And if it wont there is a cut thru if I get too tired or it starts hurting.

We had another person call about the house yesterday, they sound like a really good possibility too. Seems like they come in bunches . Lol

Can you believe this year is almost over? I don’t know where it went to…seemed to go extra fast to me. I guess as bad as I hate to admit it , that im getting old lol they say it goes faster the older you get. I really don’t think im getting older but guess the calendar doesn’t lie. Altho I try to make it do so sometimes lol

Jo do you do cross stitching? I have this really pretty small tablecloth that I got one corner done , or most of it, and had to quit because it caused my eyes, head and hands to hurt so badly… I have all the embroidery thread and everything . I havent found the pattern yet but im sure I will find it somewhere in one of those boxes. Can you do cross stitching without the pattern? I would think it would be really hard. I guess if you were really good at stuff like that you could. ….I just cant do it at all anymore . Even with the big magnifying stand with the light on it. That makes be able to see but doesn’t keep my hands from going to sleep within about a minute or less.

Yes I did have a young couple in the rent house and they were great little renters but they didn’t stay but about 3 months. They moved to Montana….saw her mother at the dollar store the other day and she said that he still didn’t have a job yet…and were living with friends and the friends are thinking about moving back to Fla. Then they wont have a place to live at all. Sad I guess. What is really sad is that she is about 8 months pregnant . Her mother ask me if they came back would I rent the house back to them. Told her yes if it was empty.

Hey that sounds great the frosted apricot salad….can you give us the recipe? I love apricots.

I have found that all of my desserts can be made with splenda and/ or s.f. puddings, low fat or what ever. And that really helps with the sugar and calories BUT ---- doesn’t do anything for carbs so be careful all of you….carbs can cause you to dump too. So watch out.

Jeanie-Rae the parade sounds great….I remember going to things like that with my kids and grandkids. Was a lot of fun back then but not sure how much fun it would be now lol .

Hey we think alike about selling the rental house that I might be able to take enough out for a face lift. I have thought of that a lot….since we don’t owe anything on the house to have to pay off it would be free and clear. So I might be able to snitch enough out of it for a face lift….I told Joe that I would just take it all and fix this flabby body lol …but that just isn’t something that I really care about. All that surgery scares me . Ive had too many surgeries already in my life.

Hey can you tell us how you make your turkey tamales??? That sounds good. I am trying to get together some different dishes for our Christmas dinner. Anyone got something unusual dish you make .

Well guess I better get this posted so I can get a couple hours of sleep , maybe…….not been sleeping well.

Susie, hope you feel better soon.  You are brave to have the PS.  So far I have no desire to have it but my insurance doesn't cover it and I don't have the funds.  My tummy could definitely use some work but for now Spanx will have to do.

Good that you have a hubby to take good care of you.

Good Morning Missouri...

Wow am I curious about what Paul got me for Christmas!!! I asked for a tubular skylight for this room.  It's the only room in the house that does not have a window across from it and it is darker beings it's a partial earth contact home.  Then it's just slimly possible he got me a "John Deere" gator or something like it... can't really imagine it's that though... too much $$$ for sure!  Or I wanted cabinets installed in the laundry room, could be a cross necklace or an an ipod... maybe a wii fit??? I really could get it out of him and it wouldn't take much effort either...~ha he's just terrible about keeping secrets! He had a ticket yesterday for $51 worth of gas and I KNOW his little car will NOT hold $51 worth of gas!!! So he told me he had to get a tank for the lawn mower I keep riding down to the neighbors... but he fusses at me saying it does not have wheel bearings and not made for road use! ~tee hee Will be fun to see what he came up with. A gator would be the very BOMB of gifts! Maybe some day?

I sure have been enjoying working at Penney's.  I have not had too many disgruntled or grouchy customers, for the most part they have all been nice.  It was a really busy day in the store until about 5:00 o'clock and then it slowed down.  I work 12 to 6 today and am off tomorrow... it's a good thing as I have so many things that are not getting done since I am gone so much.

Mimi ~ I envy you having some of your baking done... every year when  you talk about those pumpkin rolls I just drool! ~ha I've never made one. Have tasted them... yum CREAM CHEESE!!! my very fav!

I have not even started cooking yet and today starts the countdown 12 days of Christmas!  I better get with it! I'm not going to have a great big dinner this year I'm going to have a really nice ham and homemade hot rolls for the main dish. And then make some salads and broccoli and rice casserole.  I have wanted that corn casserole so bad... you know the one with all the really bad stuffs in it, cream cheese, sour cream, cheeses, butter, creamed corn, regular corn and corn bread mix?  But no one in my family likes it.... I would like to just have a bite of it...not a big ole helping but just a bite. Would be mighty wasteful to fix that just for a bite but it seems to be what I'm craving this year... kinda crazy.  That recipe is simply delish!

I will have to make the home made snicker bars for Crystal and homemade peanut brittle for Amanda Jo... am going to make Paul a cherry mash recipe that Pooh gave me. Will make some cookie dough truffles too. It's so nice that all that does not even sound that good to me... in the past I would have already had it done so I could "taste" it all! ~ha

I have been having a tooth ache... the dentist put in a temp filling to get me to the first of the year so we can crown it (insurance~ $700) and it may have gotten an infection behind it... as it has been hurting so I'm taking antibiotics for that... still was hurting yesterday but maybe today will be better. I have an appt for right after the 1st to get it fixed sure hope it does not give me fits for the next couple of weeks.

Well goodness I've rattled this morning... just not a whole lot going on right now in my life but this job and hopefully getting ready for Christmas day... I work till 3 on Christmas Eve and then a 10 hour day the day after Christmas.  They say it is every bit as busy as before Christmas if not more?

Suz ~ I'm so glad you are doing well from your surgery! Wishing you the results you had hoped for!

Better get busy and exercise it will be time to work again before I know it... have a good and wonderful day all!

It's dreary here too and I don't like all these sunless days.  Hubby isn't feeling good.  He complains so much I never know when something is really wrong.  I'm not a hard-hearted Hannah but he does get on my nerves.  He has tests for this and that and they find nothing so I think he is a hypochondriac.

We went to Applebee's for our anniversary and got the 2 for $20 deal.  I ordered a steak and baked potato and brought half home.  We had the Spinach Dip so that filled me up.  I know....lots of carbs but it was a special meal.

Jan, I don't do crosstitch.  I used to do it but just never got into it.  I gave all my patterns and thread away.  I'm much better at knitting.  I donated 12 scarves to the church and now I need to make a scarf for my GD.

I will post the Frosted Orange Salad recipe.  I'll also post the Cream Cheese Pumpkin Pie.

Bec, I'll bet you're so nice customers can't bear to be nasty with you.

I have absolutely no Christmas spirit.  Can't wait for December 26 so I can take down the tree and be done with Christmas.  This year I have money to buy gifts whereas the last couple years it was a financial problem.

I made more Peanut Clusters and I'm going to make 3 kinds of breads to give away.  I think in years past I made so much sweets because I was the one that really wanted it.  Now, I just don't care much for the sweets and know I have no business eating them.  I make the bread in individual loaf pans so I can't taste them.
