WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY DEC 11

Well I was going to go with Joe and Georgie to Branson yesterday morning but it was way too cold out for me…

George had to be there by 10 for an appointment at Best Buy….our battery on the truck decided today was the day to die..so Joe had to run up and get one of the neighbors to come down and get our truck started. Took forever to get the thing going. So while George was in his interview Joe had the battery checked and it was going dead. So that was 80 bucks for a new one. That is always good to have to put money in something that you don’t plan on ….and tomorrow we have to get some gas for the trailer …..at 1.79 a gallon…can you believe that??? So a 100 gals will be 179.00 I cant believe that.

Oh we think George has the job at Best Buy they are suppose to call him so we will see. That will be good for him to be able to go somewhere and do something. Not good for young people to just sit around all day…

Suppose to be warmer today and 50 by Sunday ..wow!!!

I have got to get busy and get my Christmas presents bought and wrapped. Would like to get everone something but there just isn’t enough money to go around right now…the end of the year taxes and everything. And I refuse to use Credit cards for Christmas….we are finally getting them all paid off.from Christmases, birthdays and vacations….refuse todo that anymore. If we have to do without we will.

Sure wish we could sell the rental house or keep it rented…had a guy interested in buying it but he wanted to do nothing down and 200 a month I told him good grief man I might as well let you live there for nothing . That is just ridiculous tho …

Well have to get busy and bake some more today. Still have more Punkin rolls to go and then get to start on the other cakes. I told all of them that this what they are getting from us this year. We just don’t have the money .

JO I make my pumpkin rolls with splenda and low fat cream cheese too…I havent had anyone to say anything about it yet….take care of yourself…how is the sinus infection going? I use to get them often now as the first sign of sinuses acting up I start taking Sudafed and rinsing nose out with saline solution..

JEANIE-RAE::::so I see he didn’t have you locked up after the test, very good sign that you passed?? Lol

Sometimes you have to be your own advocate or in this case your husbands, make them run a test on the sputum sample….or you can do it yourself at an independent lab. Sometimes we have to go by our gut feeling and if you don’t think the doctor he has is doing right then fire them and get another.

Hope all goes well with you and hubby today….

Did you have a good run last night?

I'm staying home from work again today.  Thought I was fine but after I got up I didn't feel so good.  My throat is still a little sore.

It's 13 degrees this morning.  I'm planning to go out this afternoon.  I need to buy some pajamas and Matchbox cars for a 2 year old I adopted from our church tree.  We have a tree with gift requests from children of incarcerated parents.

I haven't taken Sudafed for years because before WLS I had high BP.  I'll have to try it but it seems nothing helps with these infections except an antibiotic.  The Amoxicillan is upsetting my tummy.

Nothing, liquid or solid, tastes good.  Even Crystal Lite peach tea tastes nasty.

Hi Jan and all of OH,

Jan, I felt good about the eval. The questions they asked are just to make sure you are mentally fit and can understand how serious having the surgery is. They did ask several questions related to suicide and drug use and alcohol, definitely don't have any problems in those areas.

Went to my husbands doctor this morning and all of the symptoms he has are related to COPD, he thinks he has both brochial and emphysema, has referred him for physical therapy for COPD patients so we're gonna see how that goes. He said if he would go 3 days a week, the breathing excercises they teach will help him strengthen his upper body and help with the breathing.

He assured us both that he has given him the best medicines possible for the degree of pulmonary function he has. It's up to him now to do the rest. He's stubborn and sometimes it just takes him a while to get it.

Had a really great run, my older son went with me to carry the movie cans, only had to go to Mountain Grove and then Cabool, so it wasn't too bad and had some time to talk to my son a little without anyone else around. After they get grown up it seems like you don't get enough one on one.

Jo, I sure hope you get to feelin better, I hate getting colds and sinus infections, especially in the winter. I use Saline gel all year it helps keep my nasal passages healthy and when the heater or air conditioning is on it's hard to keep the humidity level in the house, the gel is Aloe, the brand is AYR, I don't have as many sinus flare ups as I used to and then I use the saline spray like Jan does.

God bless all of you have a good week end, I'm going to watch my Grandbabies in the Ava Christmas Parade, that is if it doesn't rain.LOL
