To read the scripture Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see, is easier read then lived out.  I’ve really discovered this year what living by faith is.  In the King James it says “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."  I always thought to myself that it was hard to live for things that we could not see, as humans we have a need to see things before we believe them.  One of the things God has taught me this past year is to live for what I am believing for, live by faith.  When God guides He provides but He  provides when we have faith.  When He’s guided me to different area’s it always seemed the provision would come AFTER I truly believed in my heart that God had spoken to me this certain thing.  I’ve really found out that when we live by faith God truly manifests Himself to us.  This time last year I was excited for the things God was doing in our lives, this year I’m more then excited for what God is doing.  This next year for us is going to be a year of living by faith and truly relying on God to guide and protect us, how exciting.

***Bec*** Isn’t it easy to get behind?  I’m about caught up though.  I’m going to continue to read the bible like this next year too; I know I will discover so much more than I did this year.  I do like this way of reading too because of the daily Psalms and Proverbs, having that daily wisdom from both those books really strengthens me on a daily basis.  I can’t wait to get to the next year so see how God unfolds His guidance, grace and peace in our lives.  God has and over abundance of Grace to finish His race.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1)

I have a friend who had both of his knees crushed in an accident. The doctors told him he would be fortunate if he ever walk again, but he would certainly never be able to run or play sports. He was so disappointed by the news. But when he got out of the hospital after being there for over three months, the first thing he did was join a health club. He took a step of faith. For the first year, he was too weak to even go, but he had made up his mind that he was not going to just sit back and stay in that wheelchair; he was making plans to be active again, to be up and walking.

That was over five years ago, and over the course of time he got stronger and stronger. Today, that young man can outrun me! He defied the odds. What happened? He made a decision to rise above his cir****tances. He took a step of faith even when the odds were against him. He could have easily believed the negative words and just given up. He could have settled for mediocrity; but he didn't. He put his faith into action…and his faith put him into action.

Maybe you've had some negative things spoken over you. Don't let those negative words take root. Keep believing. Take a step of faith. God has you in the palm of His hand.

Remember, faith is always in the now. Don't have the attitude that says, "Well, I know one day God's going to work. One day God's going to turn this around." No, have the attitude that says, "Father, I thank You that right now You are working in my life. I thank You that right now I'm getting better. Right now things are changing in my favor." Every time you declare something according to the will of God, you are taking a step of faith and moving forward into the victory God has in store for you!

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
