Boy was it ever cold brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr beautiful sunny day but too too cold and tonight is suppose to be colder. Im ready for in tho…don’t guess we will get out of here this winter ..maybe later on , I hope anyway. But I guess it is more important getting the boys situated than me being comfortable in the heat lol don’t really know about that.

Oh me I don’t relish getting up real early and going to Springfield tomorrow. …dr McClain appt at 9:45 Friday morning. I must have been really groggy in the hospital when they made that appointment. Lol

I was cleaning out my jewelry box yesterday and I decided I would take all those pieces of gold necklaces and bracelets etc etc to Springfield with me tomorrow and see what they were worth…you all know that gold is selling for over 1200.00 an ounce. Well I don’t know if I have an ounce but that sure would be nice. Would help with Christmas presents ….anyway would make the getting up so early worth it.

Have several things to do on the way back from S;Springfield….have to pick up new phones.from Verison. Im not sure what kind I want. Im not really into texting, or all of the other things they have on these phone now days. Oh well I will decide when we get there. I don’t like spending a lot oh a phone.

BARBARA:::: why are you having high blood pressure? Did you have it before you had surgery?

Oh wow good luck on having the tummy tuck… who are you having to do it for you?

We will all be praying for you. And good to see you on here. …where have you been.

JEANIE-RAE::::: yeah that sounds like a pretty good deal taking census. I might even do that ….and the one in Springfield pays 10.50 an hour. That would be really good.

And like you said you can work the hours you want to.

Im glad that you finally got your dresser you bought. That will be good.

LOU:::::no I cant began to believe that it is almost Christmas….the things im wanting to do and I had better get busy.

Hope your iron levels gets better. I have been taking an iron tablet since surgery. Because I always have a tendency to have anemia. So I have been really consistent with it.

I have to get lights for my tree. All of them I have are all burnt out.

Well since I have to get up so early I better get this finished. And posted. So good night all see you later on.

Good Morning Mimi and Mo...

Woke up real early this morning so thought I would jump on again and say hi... have been working at Penney's long and even extra days.  I have really enjoyed it.  Busy but not stressful so far.  I have enjoyed mingling with the shoppers.  I can sure tell this old mind is not as sharp as it was 10 years ago.  There is a lot of product to remember where it all goes, and alot of little details to remember... but other than that and an aching back after all the hours being on my feet...
"s'all good". ~ha

I have most of my Christmas shopping done now... still have a bit of decorating to do but most of it is done too.... I even have a good part of my Christmas cards done but need to set down and finish them up and get them in the mail.

I hope to have my bible study group out on the 15th for brunch.  I will find out today if I have to work.  Need to get favors ready for that and finish up my menu... I know I will be fixing bacon quiche cups and mimi pecan pie muffins, a hot almond cream drink, and possibly a fruit soup...not sure what else?  I have not hosted a group for some time so am kind of looking forward to that.

I just have to clean out my closet and re~arrange as I have gotten several new clothes and not places to put them. Have found some really awesome deals lately.  I even bought a pair of brown corduroys... I have not been "into" browns for years and years but find myself liking it some now?  I bought a few nice classic sweaters recently on a very good sale... never could wear those either as I was always too hot. Not anymore for sure! I'm freezing most of the time now like so many others.

Looks like the lay~offs for Paul will end now, his company did not sell and they have decided to keep it for a couple of years, revamp it and see what the economy does.  So hopefully things will look up for a bit now?  I'm thankful for a job! I actually had "my own" money this year to buy Paul's Christmas present...it felt good to be able to give him a nice BIG gift that I worked and paid for myself! He is always so willing to give me just about anything I want and I wanted to do that for him this year... so I got him a drill press. Oh my gosh are those thing HEAVY! I got him the big floor model!  It took three of us to carry it.  Then he got a bench grinder and two new sets of wrenches too, a new belt and John Deere billfold ~ha  and of coarse the jerky gun... he just made out like a bandit for sure! ~ha

We got a new digital camera this past week, I don't know a thing about operating it, will have to get Jo to show me... hopefully I will learn how to post pics on here myself?

Well better get in there and have my protein shake and get Paul's lunch made. I work at 2:00 and have more to do than I'll get done for sure.

Hope this finds all doing well and being blessed.

I got all my pre op stuff done down in Springfield  yesterday. I now have a huge credit card bill. I sure hope this surgery will make a noticeable difference. I did a little shopping while I was there. I git myself a pair of jeans from the girls dept and they fit great. All my pants are baggy in the butt but these fit. They were a lot cheaper than ladies jeans too.

I hot an early Christmas gift from my DH, I had picked out some new wedding rings and he ordered them. They came in and he went ahead and gave them to me. I have nothing to give him for Christmas and not a clue what to get. He may be disappointed.

I was really fretting over where to put my Christmas tree and was late getting home yesterday. I walked in to find my DH putting the tree up in the living room in front of the door to the deck. Its a good enough spot. I was glad I didn't have to drag it upstairs. Now I have to decorate it. I looked everywhere yesterday for ideas on how to decorate my mantle. I couldn't find anything I liked. I guess I will just hang stockings or use something I have.

I hope everyone is inside and warm today.

Hello everyone!  Susie I'm sorry I missed you yesterday, I didn't get your message until later in the day. You will look wonderful.  I can't wait to start on my ps.  Today its all laundry and errands, nothing exciting.  Real estate is dead for me.  I have an open house Sunday and I'm hoping for the best.  I talked to my friend that's the surgeon about my iron.  I've been so worried.  He said my hemoglobin is great and to not worry about it.  Doubling up on my iron should take care of it.  I was wondering why I really wasn't having any symptoms.  He said as long as your blood levels are good you won't be tired.  I love having a friend that's a surgeon that also did RNY.  I can call him anytime and he goes out of his way to help me.  He's a great guy.  Well i guess i better get in gear if I'm going to get all my stuff done before Jade gets out of school.  I hope everyone has a wonderful day! ;) Lou

It is really cold.  I went to the library and grocery shopping and didn't think the car would ever heat up.

I took today and Monday off.  I'm just not inspired to do much today.  I'm knitting scarves for a church project so I'd like to doing just that.  Instead, I did make Chocolate Bread to give away.  I have several other recipes to make but I'm not in the mood.

Tonight I'm staying with my GDs while their parents go to a party.  I bought ice cream, sprinkles and whpped cream so they can make sundaes.  I won't be eating any.  Ice cream makes me sick.  Never thought ice cream would betray me but I'm so happy with the new me I don't care.

I have Sweet and Sour Chicken in the slow cooker.  I subbed Splenda for the sugar.  Hope it's good.

My eating today has been off track.  I put Syntrax Nectar protein in my coffee.  It has a strong rum taste and I thought the coffee would drown it but it didn't so I threw it out.  Hate the taste of rum.  Can't afford to throw it out.  Hubby wanted sweet rolls so I brought home a coffee cake and had a small piece.  Felt very guilty.  Then I had a Click Frappe.

Hi everbody,

Had a busy day, did a few errands and had an Eye DR. app. I have been diagnosed with Glaucoma, and been using drops for about a year and a half, a couple weeks ago my eyes started getting and staying red and burned like the dickens so called my OP, he took me off Alphagan and said use combigan 1 time in the am. Went for follow up today and drops are working no irritation, he thinks that after surgery my Glaucoma may go away. He said sometimes Glaucoma can be related to high blood pressure.

So we were busy, went to Aldi's for canned goods and got some good looking cauliflower .60 cheaper than it is at our local grocer, they had nice cucumbers and other salad veggies. I don't buy  fresh tomatoes this time of year cause they just don't taste right, but they did have some nice lookin grape tomatoes.

Jan, I thought about doing the census job, but I'm not ready to commit to anything other than what I have to do to get ready for surgery. You might like it, I don't think you have to do any surveys door to door, I think you just confirm addresses and stuff like that. Hope it works for your GS or you.

Susie...I get that you are nervous about your PS, you are in my prayers, I know that things are gonna be great for you. It's so awesome that you can get pants in the girls sizes. I would go Bananas.

Jo...sometimes we just have to take a break and do only what helps us relax. This time of year I could spend all day in bed snuggled up watching TV or reading a book. I think its great you are knitting scarves for other people, I like to knit and crochet. I recycle grocery bags, cut them into strips and make plastic yarn out of them, then crochet them into large reusable sturdy bags, I've given a few to family and some friends, it's something that helps keep my hands busy.

Hope everyone has a good night and stay warm, it sure is cold out there. Just not ready for winter yet.

Love Ya All

Hello Jan,
finally found my way back to OH.
Wow has life had its ups and downs.
I have got to get back on track. I have gained 53 pounds and no sign of it coming off.
My Stress level is way high and I think I had forgotten I was a Gastric By pass survivor!
It is easier than you think to get side tracked with so many thing****ting your priority list.
I know everyone has their own problems but I guess I am needing some support from my old wt loss buddies. I would have swore to anyone that after having surgery 5 years ago and loosing 225 pounds I would never be in this spot... Here I am.
I know I need to add excercise. I know I need to keep track of what I am eating. I am dumping just enough all the time to feel crappy. I have been back to Dr. Edwards about 6-8 months ago. He did a upper GI. No problems really. I have not stretched my pouch but the way my pouch was made things do not stay in it as long as the ones they are making now. Straight through. so I am going to have to work harder at making sure I don't eat and drink at the same time and watch my slider foods.
Convenience is my culprit. ...Any suggestions?
