could anyone give me dr hawes(sp)? info

Hi , I saw that he was having an informational (can't think of the word..brain fart lol) meeting about plastic surgery  (panniculectomy) anyhow, if any of you went could you please give me the highlighlights? most importantly, getting insurance to pay, what are the requirements etc. I had an appt. with a local doc and just chickened out, i didn't want tobe disappointed...again. Please share any and all information, i would so appreciate it, Jan I know you gave me a number once but I lost it, If anyone has used any other surgeon with medicare I would  love to hear about it as well. I don't really think I am going to lose much more weight with the huge panni I have, it was there before I lost massive weight and now just hangs down firther than before, I am embarrassed to see a surgeon because it is not just skin it is full of fat too, what if he say's no because of that? It must weigh 30 lb.s. Anyhow I know if I can find any answeres anywhere, this will be the place for it. I have googled panniculectomy medicare in several different way's and never come up with anything useful.   thanks so much, Susan

first most insurances wont pay for any of the surgery unless they are medically necessary...from what you are saying it sounds like  it might be large enough to cause back pain and lots of other problems...medicare will pay for the panniculectomy but they dont approve first ...but if you have enough reason and if it is large enough they (more than likely will approve and pay.) i guess if they wont approve it at all then they deni it first because i got a thing from them saying i was denied ...
anyway i cant find his number right now...Help someone we need his number please.

 I am having him do some work on me on Dec.11. I saw another surgeon but he wasn't a good fit. I feel comfortable with him. I will post after its over  and let everyone know how it went.
