You are a hoot!  I wouldn't want to sacrifice perfectly good turkey pepps either but I will! ~tee hee I happen to have a partial bag... will crisp them up and let you know how it works!

I to still love to cook too, but have way more control than I EVER had before! But as I'm sure you well know it takes discipline not to just eat any ole thing we want.

Hey that's really great that you take goodies to Dr. H. and Tim... you work close to them don't you?  In a doc's office?  I love to feed grateful peeps too... it's very satisfying to see someone enjoy some thing so!

Are the turkey pep chips ready yet?!?!  I know wait for it... wait for it.

I work for Dr. Hoehn in the clerical division. I only work 2-3 days a week and am in charge of the information seminars. I am also the Lap Band patient advocate. In other words I go into the exam rooms and answer questions the LapBanders have and help with followup calls and such. I love it and would have never believe I would ever feel comfortable standing up in front of groups of people sharing my experience. I used to be the LARGE 'wallflower' trying to blend into the wallpaper. But this feeds my soul and I have such respect for both Surgeons and Tim I would do anything they asked. This surgery surely is life changing in so many different ways. But we all already knew that.
So is the turkey chips ready now?!?!?   TEE HEE
Here's hoping the sun shines tomorrow I am pruney enough already,

Well how cool is that!  I didn't know you worked for him! I had a wonderful visit with the good doc this last time... it was great!  I like you have a large amount respect for him. God sure is using him in a wonderful way! I would simply love the job you have I think... I guess I didn't know you had the lap band either... now that you mentioned it... guess I'm not very observative?  Where did you start?  Have you lost all the weight you wanted to?  I see you are two years out.

I will sure let you know about the pep chips! ~ha and am looking forward to some sun shine as well the radar looks like it has cleared off. I'm ready to get back outside for my exercise!

Have a good day today...

I had not heard about pretzels and popcorn being slider foods.  I thought sliders were things like pudding, yogurt, etc.  I rarely eat pretzels or popcorn.

I like string cheese or any type if cheese and some grapes or apple slices or a protein bar.  I like the Oh Yeah bar, not the wafe one, but the other one that's similar to a real candy bar.

I have actually made pepperoni "chips" by accident, lol, i left a piece of pizza in the microwave way to long all that was salvagable was the little hard crispy slices, they were GREAT and I have microwaved the turkey slices on a paper towel, and you can't tell the diff. from the reg. kind!!! yum yum, I am on my way to walmart and i will pick some up.

I crave salt more than anything.  I've started putting a dash of salt in my homemade hot cocoa.  It makes the flavors pop.  I know this is going to sound gross, but I've even been putting some salt on my finger and lick at it for a while.
Have you tried dipping boiled eggs in a salt and pepper mixture?  I think it's really good.  I seriously just put a sprinkling of salt and pepper on a plate and dip my boiled egg into it.  It really cures that craving.
I like to microwave turkey pepperoni slices too.  They're great for dipping in refried beans with cheese.  It's like a protein stack.  I can only eat about 5-6, but they are so good.
Have you tried soy crisps?  My local Whole Foods sells them.  I've purchased a couple of bags before just so I could eat a about 4 crisps on 2 different occasions.  It would take me months to eat one bag.  Luckily, my husband has no problem finishing them off for me.  = )

Hey, have you had your iron checked yet (since surgery)? they say that intense salt cravings can be due to low iron  amogst other things....

I hadn't thought about the low iron.  I've always preferred salt over sweets.  Thanks!
