WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

Monday was a pretty good day after all. I got the staples out ,no pain for sure. A little bit of stinging on the first staple but after that wasn’t too badl….

Joes brother got a deer , Joe still hasn’t but he was too busy yesterday . He had a doctors appointment and had to go get us some food too….me some protein powder.

My days are still doing exercises and trying to get the knee to bend. Darn that just isn’t s easy as it sounds like it would be. I think they cement it bent. That is what it feels like for sure. I am getting very discouraged about it. I think it should be doing better than I am .

Now that I have the staples out at least I can get in and out of the shower without worrying about getting it wet. So that is a plus.

Bec:: boy have you been busy with the apples and nuts. You have lots more patients than I do with trying to pick out walnuts???those are hard to get out.

Do you know where or in what dept you will be working in at Pennys? I know you will be a good assest to them. Your personality is made for sales clerk or something like that.

They are saying possible snow showers ….are you ready for that.??

Connie : those beef jerky recipes sound delicious

JEANIE-RAE sorry you had such a bummer of a week end too. Yes I wish we could say that about all the hunters with the no beer rule. Some of then that is all they use it for , just to get drunk and shoot their guns up into the air and have target practice. Scaring all the deer into hiding and ruining it for everyone.

JO:::: glad you are getting a handle on the bad carbs. See you can go out to eat and eat right if you just use good planning. Sounds like you had a great meal. and Happy belated Birthday if I didn’t wi**** to you before.

Another dreary day and a little snow.  I want sunshine!!

I am tracking my food and exercise here on OH.  I wasn't eating bad carbs a lot although I had been tasting this and that and shouldn't.  I'm still over 50 carbs a day even being cautious.  I switched to Hood countdown instead of skim milk.  Carbs are about 5 for HC.

Tonight I am going to the gym.  I'm actually feeling motivated to go.  Have to do it if I want to lose.

A young woman in my office is pregnant.  She was overweight to start with and is really big now.  She eats the worst stuff.  Her husband is at least 200 lbs. overweight.  They both work here.  The lunches they bring would feed a family of 4.  She eats 2 packages of oatmeal, loaded with sugar plus bottles of fruit juice.  I said I am making cheesecake for T-Giving but it will be made with low fat cream cheese and Splenda.  She said she's making hers full fat and with sugar.

No one needs all that fat and sugar even if they are thin.  I've made my cheesecake and fed it to people that swear they can't stand Splenda but they thought the cheesecake was delicious.

Hi OH,

Well called Dr. Edwards office yesterday, left a message with one of the team coodinators and she called, said they were concerned about me being on blood thinners, I take Plavix and have since '05. Told her I didn't have a problem with stopping use of it and that my PCP knows that I will probably have to stop taking my meds b4 surgery. They were supposed to call me back today after talking to Dr. Edwards but haven't heard anything and it's afte 5 so I know they won't call me today. Getting worried now that maybe they are gonna say no to my surgery.

Guess I'll give them one more day then I'm gonna start buggin them. I'm not gonna take no for an answer, if I have to I will go somewhere else.

Jan, I'm sure as the swelling goes down on your knee you'll be able to start working it easier, I never had surgery but I fell and did some damage to the knee pad, couldn't move it for about 2 wks. But I kept trying and pretty soon I was able to move and it eventually quit hurtin. I sure don't want to see any white stuff right now. We turned the heat up cause I was still running a low grade fever last night and I'm still cold. The fevers gone I think it just looks too much like winter.

Gotta go get supper started everyone have a good night and stay warm.
