Heard from Janet ….she didn’t have surgery yet again , bless her heart. Sorry Janet.I don’t understand how they didn’t see that when they did your pre op before …glad they caught it tho,,,,,finally….so when will it be now? Can they get the potassium up soon enough?. You have such problems don’t you sweetie. Bless your heart.. Email me.. Ok?

I havent been doing much , just P.T. and seeing the nurse every other day. Cant believe it has been a week yesterday since it was done. . Most ot the time it doesn’t hurt much…I have been keeping the pain under control this time around. And not having to chase it all the time. I have found that when I first get up I will take my pain pills I can start getting the morning pain under control.

As you can see I don’t do a lot other than exercise, use the cmp machine and rest…I cant read since the pain pills do a number on my eyes …it is really hard to type this. I keep having to shake my head and look at it again lol….what I think I type and what I really type is totally two different things. You should see sometimes what I really type . Lol

Susy: don’t you ever appoligize about what you wrote, problems with in your family and you being depressed about it , does have something to do with your weight loss. I know I have a family member that gives me fits sometimes..we have some great prayer warriors on here so know that we will always keep you in prayer when you need it. Ok?

Yes im very bored but looks like I cant do a lot about it. Went to the green house yesterday watered some of the things that I had moved into there before surgery. I planted two pieces of Christman Catcus yesterday and im anxious to see them grow and bloom…they are orange , not samon but orange….or that is what the package says.

JO.::::::: me too about Christmas I wish they would at least wait untill at least Thanksgiving ,but everything is about the all mighty buck any more. . I wish I could see well enough to do some personals items. But they get so tired I cant keep them open long. Thanks for praying for me I really appreciate it..God listened. Ob yeah I love your avatare pictre===========

JEANIE-RAE::::: thanks for the prayers….keep them coming. I know I can feel them being sent up for me at times. I can walk in the house without any kind of support wont do that outside for awhile yet tho. Too many things to trip over out theirew

DARLIN DEBBIE::::::thanks for the prayers and thank God that David still has the job. That is a big blessing isn’t it?

Lol there are a lot more many more that have better abilities on how to write an all . All I can do is write with the heart….hope to hear from you more often ok? I like to keep track of all my kids

Glad to hear that the boys are doing great , that is a lot and means so much to a mothers heart.

ANDY:::: next week will be great about coming down , I probably will be here for sure I still have your flowers in the green house…Im sure the leaves are gone off the hibiscus but will be coming back on since it is warm in there.

Hey that was quite an accomplishment to do all at one o f the tune up by yourself… tell Susan hi for us all. If you all are going to see family or friends later they will be utterly surprised at the two of you.."

Jan, I'm sure going to your greenhouse and playing in the dirt made you feel better.  I just love puttering around in my craft room.  When my sewing machine goes in for a tune-up, my space looks so lonely and I miss my machine......dumb I know.

I have gotten back on track and realized those foods that aren't in my best interest aren't worth it.  I got in a bad habit of tasting this and that, remembering how good it used to taste.  Well, it doesn't taste the same now and really upsets my pouch plus gives me a really bad headache.  I tried a couple 7 Layer Bars and was so sorry I did.  Didn't throw up but wished I would.

My 4 day work week is on hold.  An assistant was terminated yesterday and there's a hiring freeze so we all have more work to do.  I decided I would hold off awhile although my manager said go ahead with my plans.  I don't like to think my being out a day puts more work on my co-workers.  I'm thinking about doing a 7 hours day and leaving at 4:00.  Then I have no excuse for not taking classes at the gym.  There's a Zumba class I want to do.....I think.  Not sure if this ole bod is up for that but I want to try.

It's another beautiful day here.

Zumba is lots of fun and even if you dont know all of their steps you just keep up with the music dancing and shaking the bootie lol...Old age is just a number remember...my sister who just turned 60 TEACHES Zumba and several other classes...she teaches almost daily  and is great at it. she puts some of the younger kids to shame for the amount she can do ....look on Facebook and look up Kathy Lee....

I know it's been a while since I have been on here.  I have missed you all.  I want to try and be more active here, maybe it will help me get back on track?

Jan, What kind of surgery did you have?  I hope your feeling better?  I have missed all your wise words and messages of encouragement.  Maybe you can help me get back on track?

Debbie D, I have missed talking to you as well.  I know since I live in Wichita it's kind of hard to get together.  I will be in KC Thanksgiving week maybe we could get together and visit then?

I have just been trying to stay well.  Working in the school system with sick kids it's hard to keep yourself from getting everything they bring in.  There were a few cases of the swine flu in our school recently.  I work with an autistic girl who seems to always have a runny nose or caugh so I'm constantly putting hand sanitizer on both of us.

I have been discouraged lately because I have gained like 7 pounds and that concerns me but I know if I get my protein up I would lose more.  My protein was only 13 last month, my doctor told me she has never seen levels that low before.  I'm working on increasing that it's just hard.  I haven't been exercising like I should be either and I tend to eat more carbs then I should it's just that sometimes carbs is the only thing that my tummy likes!  I'm just trying to take one day at a time.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get back to the basics and back on a losing track?  I have lost 200 lbs since my surgery about 2 yrs ago but I still would like to lose maybe 25-30 more pounds and I know some of that weight is the loose skin which I hope I can someday have removed.

I hope to get on the boards daily again and get to know some of the new folks and catch up with some of the old timers.

Take care and God Bless all the Veterans and their families today!

Bev , I had a complete knee replacement done on my left knee. the right one i had done about a year ago...
as far as words of advice go......maybe do the 5 day pouch test....takes you back to total basics...  you can use your book on how to eat...just do week one on   for days 1 and 2 and then for days 3 and 4 do the next step up and day 5 you can eat what you would that week ...just remember you are worth it.

Poor Janet, it must be awful to keep having the surgery postponed.  I know I hate thinking about having surgery sometimes worse than having it. I am hoping to schedule something soon. My biggest problem is the time. If it all goes well I hope to have it on Dec 27 but will have to be available for work on Jan.10. That may be way to optimistic. I have no idea how difficult recovery will be . I still do not know what I will have done first. I need so much fixed. I am even considering  going to Mexico for my plastics. I might be able to afford it all then.

Jan keep up the exercises. You sound like you are doing great. I used a walker for two months before going to a cane and used it for another two. It was a sad recovery. I stayed in the hospital two weeks and was pretty much immobile for two more. Give yourself a pat on the back for doing so well.
I am going to work at the elementary tomorrow. The younger kids wear me out. I haven't been able to get a flu shot yet but so far I haven't been around anyone with it. They just have the regular colds. So far anyway.
Happy Veterans Day.

Susie
