Well for goodness sakes Lana, you didn’t have to fall and hurt yourself just to get me to post on the board again lol…I hope you are doing well…are they not putting you in a cast or what…Yes the pressings together of hands can hurt sometimes. Are you taking as much Calcium as you are suppose to ???

And Vit D? …..yes we are tough ole birds but even we ole birds will break at times so be careful where you are going to fly huh? Oh yeah go see Dr. Mcclain he is one of the best bone docs there is…..

Janet is having surgery this morning , I am praying that all goes well with her. I just know she is going to lose about half of her pain with this surgery. At least that is what we are all hoping for.

Lou I was freaking out about Christmas this year until I just decided that we might just tell everyone no presents unless you are under 10.… no adults or bigger kids get presents…..I bet this will go over good lol

We are thinking about maybe drawing for names tho….have any of you ever done that in your families???

Well I would tell you all about the exciting day I had yesterday but wasn’t much to it. Got up. Got dressed…took a sponge bath, changed clothes, did my exercises….I am pretty boring here . Waited for my nurse…she measured my leg to see if it had gone down some and it had…

Im able to walk around inside without my walker already..

Thanks to everyone who have prayed for me and for all of you that have sent me e cards reg cards and loving words ….I chearish each and every one of them ….thanks.

Welcome back Jan, it sounds as if the prayers worked and you are doing well....sounds like you may be bored...yes? lol  good time to catch up on some reading maybe. The idea for drawing names is a good one, several years ago my sisters and I did that, we set a limit and it worked out great!! it seems like we spend so much money I don't even enjoy christmas anymore, and that is just not right!!christmas is to celebrate the birth of our Lord, NOT make walmart rich!! I am doing reasonable family gifts for my adult kids with spouses and smaller things for my 4 young grand children (it's the parents job to do that now, as i did for them) I wish there wasn't so much emphasis on "things" I would be happy to bake all day and have family time ....... If anyone reading this has an extra min. I would so appreciate a word of prayer for myself and family, I am going through a really difficult time with some of my children and feel depression creeping on real fast. I purposely "buried this" so It would be read by people interested and not intrusive, forgive me Jan for using your post. Love to all, Susan

Welcome back Jan.  Sounds like you're doing well.  Take time to relax and enjoy yourself.  The work will wait.

Susy, I feel like you about Christmas.  The reason for the season is lost.  I enjoy doing things for others but I do that all year.  It makes me angry that radio stations start playing Christmas music Nov. 1st and some towns are putting up their trees around the same time.  We should celebrate Thanksgiving first.

A girl in my office put her tree up last night.  She started going on about it today and she knows how I feel.  I cut her off and let her know what I think and I don't want to hear about it.

I will pray for your family.  I've had my share of worries about my children.

Hi Susan,

Jeanie Rae here, I have a minute, and I have grown hids that we have gone through some tough times with, I don't know that I can give you answers, but sometimes being able to share with someone that's not biased or involved in the situation can help. You can  send me a private message or my e-mail is [email protected]. I have just recently had some difficult times with one of my sons and I posted here and The people on this board have a lot of feed back and some of them have the same situations in their lives.

God Bless you and you will be in my prayers, I know that God can help us if we just ask and then let him do his job.

Jan I'm so glad you are back and walking that's good, I'm sure you'll be back up to snuff in no time.

Janet I,m praying for you, I know you're prabably resting in your room right now, I hope you are doing well and will be back at it soon.

Sorry to hear you got hurt Lana. Get well soon. I think this Circle of Friends has a good strong prayer circle.

My prayer is for peace and lots of LOVE. This is the season that those two should be foremost in out thoughts.

Hello to Mama Jan & MO Peeps!

Mama Jan - Welcome back!  I know I don't post often anymore, but I'm out here reading the posts.  I appreciate everyone's effort to keep the What's Happening Thread going!  But you got to know, Mama Jan, there is no one quite like you!  :)  I'm glad you're home and starting to post again.  Will continue to pray for your complete recovery.

Lovely Lana - I'm so sorry to hear about your accident.  Hopefully, it's nothing serious and you'll be able to get out of that wheelchair and back to normal!  Will be praying for that!  Please keep us posted!  Love ya!

Janet - I've been praying for your surgery.  I hope someone gets on-line and lets us know how you're doing.  I just know you're going to be fine and good as new by Christmas!  Now it's time to let others take care of you the way you're always taking care of everybody around you!!

Sus - we've been talking about drawing names this year.  My DH doesn't much like the idea of doing that with our adult children but I think we really need to.  We will discuss it as a family on Thanksgiving.  We spend way too much $$ (that we don't have) for things that people don't need!  Christmas is to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!   Will pray for you and your family.  Please know that there are many of us out here who deal with depression (I am one of them).  I have to remind myself to keep my eyes on the Lord instead of the storm that is often brewing around me...

Bec - It was great to talk to you today!  You are such a blessing in my life!  I thank the Lord daily for the gift of your friendship!!  I just wish we lived closer.  But who knows, maybe our mansions will be next door to each other in heaven!?  Wouldn't that be grand!

We've been doing pretty good.  David's been working now since August.  It was only suppose to be for 3 months, however, they now say at least until the end of January.  That is a good thing.  God has been so good to us and I truly believe that He will continue to sustain us!

Jake's football season is over!  Halluehia!  Now to we're getting ready for basketball season.  He says he isn't going to play basketball this year.  I reminded him he said the same thing about football and he did play after all.  We will see.

Luke is doing great in college.  He's getting A's & B's.  He finally found a facilitator to re-start the Young Republican Group which had pretty much died.  He's also started trying to find a church there in Emporia and has about 8 guys on his floor in his dorm who are doing a bible study and have accountability partners.  I'm trusting the Lord to guide and direct him.

I'm doing okay.  I've been subbing a day or two a week.  I enjoy it but I am exhausted by the time I get home.  I've subbed twice for the same 5th grade this past couple of weeks and boy are they a handful!  Just glad I don't have to do it everyday!

Just finished Beth Moore's new bible study:
"Esther:  It's Tough Being A Woman"  What a GREAT study it is!  If any of you have the opportunity to do this study, please do it!  God will show you so much thru his Word and thru Beth Moore.  Tonight all the ladies (from the two groups) are meeting to watch the movie "One Night With The King".  It's based on the Book of Esther.  David and I have watched it and it follows along pretty well with the scriptures.  Should be a fun night to fellowship with some of the ladies from our church.  I'm looking forward to it.

Guess I need to get going.  Have to finish up dinner then get ready for tonight.  Hope everyone has a great evening!  Love ya all!

Hey y'all,
Jan we're sure glad your starting to feel better, I know you got to be going bonkers not being able to go outside much especially since its been really nice, guess it's gonna cool off a bit though, hard to believe its november and we still have windows open during the day.  Susan and I will get down your way next week for sure, this weekend we're going to Tulsa for a couple days, we havnt been back there in quite awhile so we're really looking forward to it.  Hasnt been all that much going on around here, today I been busy though, I gave the car a tune up and a good cleaning, I didnt wanna pay the garage $100 plus parts to change plugs and wires and filters and stuff so I did it myself lol, took me awhile but I got it done.

Well I'm tuckered so I'm gonna go relax until time to pick Susan up from work.  Hope everyone has a good evening.

Andy
