Already Back at Work

Hey all just wanted to update you on how I am doing.  I had my surgery 1 week ago today at KU Med (KC Metro).  I had a rough couple of first days but now I am doing great!!!!  I am back at work and feeling pretty good.  Getting ready this morning tired me out a bit but other than that smooth sailing.  I wish these drain tubes were coming out sooner bc they are annoying.  If anyone with an upcoming surgery has questions give me a shout bc I would love to help.  Already down 16 lbs!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear your doing so well.  Those drain tubes are the worst, very annoying.  You'll get those out soon I'm sure.   congratualtions on your success and welcome to the loosers bench! ;) Lou

Congratulations!! thats impressive back to work already, make sure you don't over do it, it's easy to do when yur feeling well, tho your body is not healed yet and surgery is a shock to the system, try to get as much rest as possible and keep on sipping!!  I never had drain tubes (thank goodness) i hope they come out soon. BTW my son has been seeing a dermatologist at ku med recently, it was the first time i'd ever been there, it was like a big flea market, people were selling things downstairs, they even have a sprint (outlet?) there, I was surely impressed with their diversity a bit like it's own little mini city!!!      the out patient lab workers are not too friendly tho, don't recommend them if you need labs,  dermatology is great dr's go out of the way to be helpful!
