What's happening Monday...for Jan ;)

Oh Monday why do you come so fast?  It just seems like time is flying by.  Not to freak anyone out but Christmas is like 7 weeks away.  Freaks me out just typing it.  I've only bought a few things here and there but have lots more to do.  Did the stores forget about Thanksgiving?  We have to think about that first THEN Christmas. For goodness sakes!    The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of it.

Jan I'm glad your doing so well, you'll be back up and running before you know it.  I'll email you that info today, I'm going to the office pretty soon.

I'm glad to read everyone is doing well,  I just can't believe its been a year for a bunch of us already.

BEC I remember having my surgery and you telling my mom that you had yours two weeks earlier, now look.  Its been a year already....WHAT?!?!?!  You look great!

Janet we will be thinking and praying for you tomorrow, just think you are going to feel so much better when this is all over with.  You're going to do great!

Jo, its so great to see you in your profile pic, you look fantastic!

Jeanne, Have you heard anything about your surgery?  I'm glad your doing so well with your diet, keep up the fight!

Susie, I'll see you on the 16th, let me know what time and what you like to eat ;)

EVERYONE have a wonderful day! ;) Lou

Yes, Monday does seem to come way too quickly.  Starting in January I will have Monday off so I'll probably thing the same thing about Tuesday.

Thanks for the compliment Lou about my pic.  That's my little black dress and I feel so special in it.

Bec, I too want to loose another 20-40 lbs.  I didn't think the wind could blow me over either until last week walking down the street in downtown KC, it did nearly blow me over.  It really was blowing hard....LOl

Susie, I know what you mean about eating sweets.  Until recently I didn't eat anything with more than 10 grams of sugar and preferred 7 grams or less.  Then I got careless and tasted a little here and there.  It does practically put me in a coma and although it tastes good going down, my pouch doesn't appreciate it.

I have a training session every Sunday evening for 2 1/2 hours and each week someone brings snacks.  I took cheese, crackers and Snickerdoodle Party Mix made with Splenda.  As you can guess no one else has brought anything remotely healthy.  It's a small group so it would be noticeable if I didn't partake.

Give me some suggestions on how to avoid the snacks.  I could take a protein bar or any number of healthy things but I don't want to go into the fact I had surgery.  I never knew any of them until a month ago so they don't know my history.  I thought I might just say I have lost a large amount of weight over the last year and don't want to gain any of it back.

I know this is the place to get the best suggestions.

Jan, hope to see you back here daily very soon.

Really quick update on ME!! I fell in the shower room at Nixa Community Center on Saturday AM and have an avulsion fracture of the greater trochanter of my right femur. It is not the typical "broken hip". Nothing displaced but still hurts. I am in a wheelchair at home right now but John has gone to get me some crutches because I can't get the doctor to call me back - this has been going on since 10am Saturday and I only know what the ER people told me. I'm frustrated but I need to find out the duration of this disability. I am crazy to get to work - have been working from home but it's not ideal. Pray I get to see the doctor in the next couple of days. I love you all and will be fine - just hampered in my mobility right now. Jan, this is nothing compared to what you have going on right now but I still HATE it!!
We are a couple of tough stubborn old women!!
Hugs to all.

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."
