Woke up with sniffles and scratchy throat so thought we might not should go to babies house for Halloween, don’t want to give them anything . Is probably just allergies but who knows….anyway we decided to move the chickens and rebuild their coop. got them moved into the garden area , man you would have thought they were in heaven….got the coops frame built, roof on and put up the roost but they didn’t want to go on that roost . So we had to put a box out there for them to go in….I guess they didn’t have enough protection in their mind lol crazy chickens. Weird huh…

While we were putting the roof on I ran into the corner of the building hitting the edge of my eye…well I have two big scratches and almost a black eye lol…I told Joe that im going to tell everyone that he beat me up and gave me a black eye ….yeah like that would happen. He said you tell people that and I wont have to worry about the police or anyone, your sister would get me before they got to him . That would be about so too.

Been watching recordings tonight , since there isn’t anything on at all on Saturday night. We always catch up on shows that we recorded thru the week and since we weren’t here last week we had two weeks worth of Law and Order, CSIs , NCISs lol well you get the picture. At least we can eliminate the commercials this way too. doesn’t take near as long to watch a show when you have it recorded.

Another day of sun , beautiful wasn’t it? I think we might not take sunny pretty days for granted so much anymore, after 15 days of rain and mist and cold these beautiful sunny days are a gift from God.

In between cutting lumber for Joe to put on the chicken coop I had all of my flower pots out there and a tub of bleach water. Soaked and cleaned a lot of them….am soaking some of the ones with the most soil on them that didn’t want to come off. Also did some cleaning in the green house.

SUSIE ::::CONGRADULATIONS on reaching goal…that is amazing and Im really happy for you. I don’t know if I will ever reach mine but as long as im not gaining then it is halfway ok…

I hope you get to have your plastic surgery that you want.If I had the money to do it with I would have a face lift and the rest of it I don’t think I would worry about it ….but that is just me. Lol I say I can cover it up the only thing other than the extra wrinkles in my face that bother me too much is my arms. I love wearing tank tops in the summer and my arms have big batwings lol

How are your Mimosa trees doing? Let me know next spring if the ones you have don’t make it or if you want more. I planted several pots of seeds so we will see what we get….

JO:::::: did you get your womans cave warmed up? If so what did you do in there today….it was just way too pretty to stay inside.

Oh yeah I love potato soup , the other day we ate at the tea room in town they had baked potato soup and it was great….yummy , since you are the cook do they take potatoes and bake them and then make soup out of them or what? Or do you just make regular potato soup and add chives , sour cream, bacon bits all the things you add to a baked potato??? Just wondered?

Lol all the work I have to do in my flowers and stuff really wont wait , don’t know how im going to get it all done. And others wont do it like it needs to be done like I really want it done. I don’t knit or sew and I don’t like to cook. I do love to read but I cant find glasses that let me see well enough to read …I have been buying some large print books and have about 20 of them right now that I will probably read a bunch of them when I am laying with the automatic leg exerciser is strapped to my leg making it bend and straighten …I would much rather be digging in the dirt, or swinging a hammer or operating a saw or painting something or cleaning out flower beds lol

Thanks for thinking of me next Tuesday….I will have someone to tell you all that im ok ….

Jeanie-Rae ::::: I use Sudafed when I have a stopped up nose ….keep using the saline nose spray …Probably the wind caused it…or it does on me. doesn’t matter if there is any pollen in it or not , just the wind itself causes nasal stuff…..Hope you get to feeling better , I know you have breathing problems so maybe you need to go to the doctor and get something for it .

CAN you all believe that it is NOVEMBER 1st? DID YOU ALL REMEMBER TO TURN YOUR CLOCK BACK?????IF NOT YOU NEED TO GO DO THAT NOW.

I have one mimosa from last year that survived and the one from this year. We have flags by them to insure they won't get mowed. I think all the rain has really helped them. I am hoping they really start growing this spring. I have always thought the blooms are so pretty. I really appreciate them.

I am a little apprehensive about the plastic surgery(I go Friday) but I really want to be able to wear shorts and a bathing suit this summer. My thighs are horrible. I think they are the worst thing for me. I am hopeful my insurance will cover the tummy and I will have to pay for the thighs and eyes. Then my neck, boobs, and arms in that order. Wishful thinking I know. I will just have to keep driving my nine year old car for a few more years. I have to keep telling myself I am worth it. I also have to tell myself it is a safe surgery. Losing Angie  really makes me worry. I know I can't live my life afraid and have to move forward.
Enjoy the sunshine today.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Tammie and I  handed out candy at the firehouse last night, but it really was slow compared to previous years.... not sure why, flu?  More parties since it was Saturday?  Hard telling.  Halloween, nice out, Saturday and a full moon, we were wondering what kind of night it would be, but only ran a few calls, one vehicle accident, one heart attack... it was a nice surprise to sleep most of the night!

Susie - I'm sure you are nervous, but I am glad you are moving forward.  It was Angie's time to go be with the Lord, for reasons I am sure incapable of understanding.  You will be in our thoughts and prayers, and we will be looking forward to watching your progress!!

I am a bit concerned - I am 70 days post op, and I just don't seem to get full.  I cannot figure out why.  Yes, sometimes I do (fish, chicken, sometimes rice) but I suppose I will eventually adjust.  I am just exercising and keeping my calories around 1000 every day.  70 days, 40 pounds, so I suppose that is on track when I look at the big picture.

Jan - as far as protein goes, I can drink that stuff all day long, I guess I'm lucky.  I drink the Matrix cookies and cream with skim milk, and no trouble so far.  Between that and the chicken I am getting 75+ grams in a day.  I need to avoid the carbs, crackers and potatoes are a weakness!

I hope you all have a great day, we are headed to church!

John

Yesterday was a beautiful day and we have sunshine again today.  Supposed to be 60 this week and no rain.

My woman cave did heat up and I worked out there for several hours.  I have a sweatshirt I bought in Colorado, size 2X.  It was so big it only touched on the shoulder.  At first I was going to give it away then I decided to alter it and I did.  Took it in 4" on each side and the sleeves and shortened it 5".  Put the ribbing back on and it fits perfectly.

The Potato Soup was a new recipe and was very good.  I cooked Russet potatoes then cubed.  I added a cup of half and half and 3 cups chicken broth.  I really favor more milk and less broth but it was really tasty.  Top it with cheese.  I love the Potato Soup at Bob Evans.  I need to look for that recipe.  Surely it's somewhere on the Internet.

I love recording shows then zapping the commercials.  Seems there are more commercials than program.

Hi OH Friends,

Just a short note, had Matt and his family here for supper. Spent most of the day baby proofing and getting things ready ahead so we could visit, then after they got here found out he planned on going out in the woods with his bow, didn't get anything just think he needed some alone time. Having six kids you just don't get that much time to yourself so I understood. He got a house for his family, they get to start moving in this week. It's a nice house, and they may be able to buy it, the owner is willing to finance. It's so amazing how the Lord works in our lives if we let him.

I wish I could use sudafed, it keeps me awake, I think it's a sinus cold cause I don't have a fever, just clogged up and kind of yucky feelin. Thank-you Jan, I do suffer from allergies also but usually in Spring. Not so much in the fall. I'm tired hope everyone has a good Monday Morning.

God Bless all of you.
