OT: Just looking for Branson advice
I regularly post on the Texas Message Board and the Over Fifty Forum.
Just thought I would stop by here for some assistance. My wife and I are going to Branson the end of November. Just want some advice from others who live near, or have been there.
We are staying for four nights. I already have tickets for The Osmonds and Jim Stafford.
Any suggestions?

George welcome to my land lol ....good to see you on here. It is hard to tell someone that you should see this or that but if it were warmer i would recomend going on the Branson Belle or to ride the ducks but the ducks wont be running in the winter cause you might get wet . lol ...and i dont know if the Belle runs in the winter either. but there is a show that everyone says is the best in Branson it is called Brothers 3 or 3 Brothers or something like that ...i havent seen it but others hace said it was great. other than that , there is Branson Landing to walk along and see all the sights along the lake and great places to eat ...hope my hubby and i can meet you somewhere while you are here for an evening for at least lunch or supper or even just a cup of coffee and dessert ...

We would love to meet up with you. We will be leaving our house at 6 AM the latest on Sunday the 29th, so we should arrive between 3 and 5, knowing me, probably sooner because I will wake up and be ready to go. We have the Osmonds on Monday night and Jim Stafford Tuesday afternoon. Have to do the time share thing on Tuesday morning. So whatever is best for you. Sunday night might be good for you.
Someone I know that has been there says there is a place where it is recommended to watch the sunset. He said it was the prettiest sunset he had ever seen.

If you have never been I would recommend Silver Dollar City. After Thanksgiving they have the best Christmas lights and several Christmas shows. I love it year round but the holidays are the best. Southern Living magazine has rated them very high on their Christmas displays
Two of my favorite shows are the originals , The Baldnobbers and The Presleys are great shows . I go back to see them almost every year. I suggest you see at least one of them this trip. I saw Jim Stafford last year and it was a good show. I haven't seen the Osmonds.
Hope you enjoy your trip.

I agree with Susie - Baldknobbers. I remember them when they were in a little metal shed - it's the TRUE old time Branson experience. Also love Silver Dollar City. Pricey but sometimes you can call them the morning you want to go and discuss a discount - it's worked for my hubby!!! I love being an Ozark American.
