Hi all, haven't been posting for awhile...just haven't been well, in august i had a total hysterectomy as well as both ovaries removed..not fun! had a cyst on the left that was the size of a small football. oddly it was found during an mri on my tailbone, which is curved down and so painful, the dr wants to remove it! been stalling on that , then the humongous cyst came up and all that had to take precedance over the tailbone....ahhhh i regress  anyhow of course the hyster. put me in surgical menopause...again NOT FUN at all.  put me on hormones, not helping... now to the b-12 getting there i promise! the last 3 weeks have been miserable, i can barely lift my arms, EVERYTHING i mean everything literally hurts! all my joints and muscles just hurt, i can barely get up and down the stairs, finally went to the dr on monday and she took blood...the only thing that showed up was my b-12...NOT LOW but abnormally high?/!   what?? I take one b-12 sublingually everyday , not sure what the dosage is and it's too painful to go back down the stairs and look, it's purple i get it at walmart..anyhow back to the original question  (told you i'd get there lol) is it even remotely possible that too much b-12 coukld cause this?  the dr told me to take it every other day, and gave me some pain killers, i'm supposed to call back on monday and let her know how i'm feeling. I think it has to do with the hysterectomy, they changed my hormone from premarin to estrace to see if it made a difference, so far nothing. i'm just tired of this exhaustion and pain...will it ever end? sorry for the long post but if any of you have experienced any thing like this i'd sure appreciate some input...thanks so much, susan

Hey there... I was feeling the very same way in july or aug. i was hurting all over.every bone on my body hurt.kinda like when ya have the flu but worse.i went to dr told him how i felt,he ran blood work checked for lyme disease and checked my b-12. my b-12 came back high,so i stopped doing b-12 and in a about a month ,i was feeling alot better. I too have had a complete hysterectomy in feb 07. I was on horomes for about 2 months.have not taken any since.I do fine without the hormones.well i think i do anyways and gail says i was a ***** before the surgery,so not much changed LOL. I hope you can get everything worked out and that you feel lots better soon.
Love and hugs Deb

oh thanks for answering my post...i kinda felt invisible lol. so ya think maybe it was the b-12? and you stopped it all together? isn't that dangerous?? my doc just told me every other day6. i was looking up my symptoms and it seems like fybromyalgia??? don't know but it sure feels like a flu without anything except the pain. the hot flashes are a b...h tho.  thanks again for your input, Susan   ps you look great!

My b12 was way high but I felt great and the doctor said it was ok. I know if you do not have enough b12 you feel bad and tired but haven't ever heard too much would do it. My guess would be other hormones but I am no doctor.

My B-12 has shown up high before but I didn't have any symptoms. I'd suggest following Drs orders about every other day but I don't think that's what's causing you so much pain. Hope you can discontinue the hormones. I think they cause more problems than they cure.
Hugs and hang in there.
