WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY

Wednesday was gloomy all day down here and tonight, (Wednesday) the wind and rain is trying to get off to a flying start…the wind blows a while and then it rains some . And there are big oak trees here all loaded down with acorns. Lol they keep hitting the top of the tent , sounds like guns going off. don’t think there is much rest here for me tonight. I really needed to sleep tonight too. I was up most of the night last night with horrible muscle cramps in my legs. didn’t get but very little sleep.

The camp grounds are really full with they said tonight 3274 campers already and they usually get at least between 600 and 800 more drive ins on the week end. …will be a big bike parade this year….

Best way I can describe the CMA rally is , did any of you ever go to church camp? That is sort of like it is. Lots of services, and meetings. Lot of people…lot of group activity but this is adults and on bikes and trikes. …we will be riding or at least a lot of us will be riding to this childrens home down here , we will eat lunch with them and everyone that goes gives a donation. It is one of the ways they raise money every year. There are lots more things to do too. Most all of it is some sort of charity…..the t0wn down here Mena looks forward to this group coming every year. It means a lot to their town financially….lot of money spent…the lions club has breakfast for us all one morning and we pay only by donation. I think they have found that they get a lot more money if they just say it is donation only

Tomorrow (Thursday_ is suppose to be very rainy so most people will stay inside I guess…I hope not because that will mean one of the charities will be shortchanged.

Joe and I bought our big patches to have sewn on the back of our jackets …and had them done while we were here.

Found a table with discontinued shirts for sale for 2 dollars ….all with the CMA logo on them so we looked and looked and found 3 each in our sizes….nice shirts but just last years style I guess altho how do they get old ?

JANET:::::huhuh that baby isn’t talking already is she? How old is she now…altho I should be surprised…. Mikaela started talking really well and had several words that she knew by the time she was 6 mos. Seems they learn earlier now …

Thanks for giving me my recipe back lol ….those were good…I just couldn’t remember all of it.

It is pretty warm here , or I guess it is. I was warm enough until it got cloudy and started raining and now im freezing. I think some of that is mental. Or that is what I am told …I told them ok then tell that to my hands that it is mental they are so cold…..

We are having a great time….

JEANIE-RAE

Oh we love camping but when it storms like it is trying to tonight and supposedly tomorrow ….just everyone say a prayer that we wont have a tree fall or something. At least we don’t have to worry about a river rising on us. We are on a mountain lol …there is a stream here tho that if it rained a lot it might get us wet .

I know how you feel about the triggers and believe me when I say that just because you have surgery they are all gone away …they don’t. it is sometimes easier to handle them but not always…they do surgery on your belly not your brain….if you know all of this stuff before hand I would recommend you find someone to talk to about all of this to see how you can defeat it….it is sort of like alcholics and their being sober…one day at a time….so many people think that gastric bypass is the easy way out it isn’t at all…yes you can only eat a certain amount of food but you can go back and eat and eat again and again. It is called grazing. And don’t do it. …

COLETTE;;;;WE love the heated mattress pad it is fantastic. Well what time I got to lay on it…every time I would just about get asleep my legs would cramp up and I would have to get up out of bed.

JOHN::::: you found the end of the internet….you did? What was it? I have thought several times I surely must be to the end of it but it just kept on comeing. How do you like BING??? I DON’T!

Glad you are feeling much better….and can go back to work…..

OH BOY some more campers just came in , it is almost 12 and they are out there trying to get their tent up….Joe just got up and said he was going to go help them….they are pitching right next to us….wouldn’t do me any good to go out to help …unless they are pitching a pup tent I wouldn’t be able to reach any of it.

Dear Aunt Jan and OH Peeps,

What a dreary day we woke up to! Constant rain. The kind that makes you want to just curl up in your blankies and stay in bed snuggling!  Not meant to be today tho!  LOL. I wish!

The boys have half day today and they are off tomorrow. Parent-teacher conferences for the elementary school kids and the other schools IF needed. We have our conference tonite at 7 pm!  When all my older kids were in elementary, they NEVER did the conferences that late! Its nice though, because Mike can join me, not lose any pay or work. Tomorrow she starts her conferences at 6 am too-and goes all day and into the evening again! WOW! She says Jon is a one of her best students. I am there almost once a week-had to miss last week and now this week due to my surgeon telling me not to go have lunch with him-too high of chance of getting flu. So, havent been there....its rough, lol.  Going through withdrawls.

Last night I went to the laundry room and it was like wild kingdom out there! There was a huge yellow spider-very scary looking one, hanging right above my head..... then a dying hornet was on my shoe flopping around....I got into the laundry room and there were a hundred IF there was one-lady bugs flying around and all over the concrete walls, then I got 2 fuzzy caterpillars for Jon to watch them transform... We have done that in the past, so we are trying it again. Then, on the way back to the house-a praying mantis was under the screen door and when I opened the door, he hopped up and got in the house! Came in and sat down and Mike killed a cave cricket (they look like a huge cricket/scary spider and jump!) I was like-what next? Gheesh! It was crazy there for 10 minutes or so-I was afraid to take the left overs out to the dogs, for fear a snake or something was going to get me-lol......seriously!

I gave Stephs cat and my dog flea dips yesterday and sprayed the house. Stephs cat got fleas when Steph took her out to a friends house-so, of course, while Im watching her-Molly gets the fleas-so here we go again! I am nipping this right away-ASAP!

Today as soon as the boys get home, we are heading to town to get some grocery shopping done. Not going to go crazy because I need to defrost the fridge.....it is usually self or whatever-never should HAVE to do it-BUT...the freezer wasnt properly closed one night and it caused everything to get that frostbite looking stuff all over-and froze the lettuce etc in the fridge etc and its just a mess-so its getting defrosted and cleaned like brand new. Our freezer is on the bottom and sometimes Jon doesnt get it closed all the way and because the fridge door covers the top, unless you can see if from the side-you dont know without opening the fridge door.

When we go to town, am taking the kids my leftover spag and meatballs and then some strawberry pie.  If they dont have pasta, I will bring it for her to cook it too. So, dinner is on me....maybe she can toss it in her crock pot and let it cook for a bit-its always better the next day and its going to be DE-LISH!

Was sorry I didnt get to go to the funeral. Felt really bad. I was happy to see that Kim had her surgery and is home! I hope she keeps posting and let us know how she is doing.....

Renee should be home this weekend....YAY! Cant wait to see her. Actually, I have been content with her there since she is with Lar and doing things she never would have a chance to do before OR now-without him! Im so happy for her! She is having a blast and I couldnt be happier for her! I know she cant wait to get back and hug that baby boy! I cant blame her! Anyway, please remember them for travelers mercy-they have a 15 hr trip beginning tomorrow after Larry gets off work.

**Jan-WOW thats A LOT OF CAMPERS AND BIKERS!!!    Holy Moly! I cant imagine! They are expanding too?  WOW!  Now, you said that you guys have some that host a breakfast for you guys-do they do it in shifts OR does everyone try and go at the same time? Thats a lot of people! When you go to the childrens home-is it just certain amount of people there as well? How does that work? Can anybody go to the seminars etc or do you sign up for the ones you want to go to? So you know ahead of time what all is going to be offered for the time your there? Sounds like so much fun! I hope it warms up for you guys, gets dry and that you have fun (sure you are!)
Be safe and your in my thoughts and prayers. I love you guys!

Yep, my little diva IS talking! She is 8.5 months old now! She is FINALLY growing some real hair-lol....No more having to put hats on her, we can start using some bows-with the velcro on them, lol! She loves to talk certain words and she dances all the time. SHe is truly one of the happiest babys I have ever met-and not just because she is my g-daughter! I am telling you, she smiles and laughs ALL THE TIME! I have NEVER called myself Nana to her-I ALWAYS SAY GRANDMA....and SHE NAMED ME NANA! lol.... So, I guess Im Nana. I dont care what she calls me, as long as she calls me-lol.... She is pulling herself up on stuff now and standing. I cant believe how much she changes every time I see her!

How long will you be camping? Who is feeding the dog and chickens etc? Since Susan and Andy arent there anymore? Do you have someone else?  Hope your having fun and talk to you soon!

**Jeanie Ray- Saying extra prayers for you, for strength! I think the journal is a very good idea! I know what Jan said that they do surgery on our belly, not our brain, but something happened to me during surgery, seriously-and things I used to crave-like to die for type food-means NOTHING to me now! I would rather have vegetables than chips and dip.....I would rather have a salad than chocolate-stuff like that. I just didnt miss any of the crap I thought I would. It was weird! It had nothing to do with HOW MUCH you can eat-I didnt even care-I just didnt care to eat-AT ALL! There are STILL time I have to tell myself to eat-How weird is that?

I hope the med records dept doesnt mess around. Seems a little weird that they didnt let you wait while they copied your chart-they let you here! Just call and make sure they follow through in a timely manner....and I will keep you in my prayers! Take care!

**Colette-good to see you! How are you doing? and hubby? Hope your both great!

**John-so glad your feeling better! Im sorry you were sick.....so do you think the Tamaflu helped or did it just run its course? Thinking about you and keeping you in prayers. Take care!

Well, I am going to get this posted and get my day going. As always-your all in my thoughts and prayers! Stay warm AND dry today! Love, Janet

Hello Everyone,
Not much going on here to day just yet, Larry had to do an install today so I'm sitting here waiting to see if he gets off early. We are hoping he does there is one more museum we want to go to before we leave. It's called Memory Lane, it's a motorsports and historical automotive museum. It has car's way back in the moonshining day's and just alot of cool stuff.
We went to Hendricks Motor Sport's day before yesterday and it was cool, I got my picture taken by Mark Martins car and Larry got his by Jr's, we also got picture's of the race car that was used in Day's of Thunder. They had a racing seat you could sit in there and whew let me tell you it's a good thing I had lost weight or I would have never ever got wedged in there. That seat was tiny. I knew it would be a tight fit but geeezzz after I got in it it was still tiny, that seat must have been made for an 8 year old. LOL
I'm looking forward to getting back home and seeing everyone especially Janet and my little man Noah (Mema is needing baby kisses bad), but I'm so not ready to leave here just yet. Oh well all good thing's must come to an end I guess.
Larry's last day on this project maybe tomorrow, if it is we will be leaving Saturday, if it's not we will be leaving Friday night after he gets off work. I'm so not looking forward to that long ride although I may get to stop off in Nashville and meet my sister for the very first time, I'm hoping and praying this happens.
Could you all say a little prayer for Larry that he finds another project and soon please, he's starting to get pretty worried, and also that all goes well for him and his daughter Kayela in custody court Monday morning? Thank You.

Jan I hope the weather clears up there for you guys and you get some pretty sunshiny days, so you can get out and have some fun. I was so thankful when the rain finally stopped here, but they are calling for more starting tomorrow. I really hope it doesn't rain on us all the way home. Have fun .

Janet I sure hope you gave Diva some loving from me, it seems like forever since I've seen her, the last couple of times I've seen her she's been sleeping. I so can't wait to get some sister time, we have alot to catch up on, even if we do text everyday it's just not the same.

I hope EVERYONE has a wonderful and BLESSED day.
Love and Hugs

Renee

If He bring's you to it.... He will bring you through it.

Good almost noon OH message Board people,

Don't know what's getting into me but right now feeling a little silly? TV in the computer room isn't working, couldn't get it to come on so just left it off for now, living in the country is so quiet it's kind of relaxing. Anyway, just wanted to say that even though I know I will always have cravings and triggers for food I am determined to overcome them. Dr. Edwards has a good team and when I go to the phsycological eval. I'm sure they will be able to help me learn to get my head working the way it should.

I know the surgery is a tool and not the cure, I still have a lot of work and am ready to do what I need to. In the past it was easier to just give in, and Jan you are right, my food addiction is just like and acoholic, everytime I say no and walk away it will make me stronger, I also know through having to quit smoking 3 years ago that if I slip I have to get right back on the wagon.

Janet I'm banking on the surgery helping me the way it did you. I love fresh vegetables and don't really go for sweets as much as really bad carbs like white flour pastas and breads and stuff breaded and fried. I can thank God for helping me stay away from that stuff. One day at a time is the best advice anyone can give. We only have the moments we are in and have to make the best of them.

Jan I wish the weather was better for you. Maybe it will settle down and at least let you enjoy the fall colors while your camping. Sound like the whole event can be a blast.

Hope everyone has a nice day. gonna walk up and down the hall a few times b4 lunch, could go outside and up the drive but Lloyd took my umbrella with him and I will melt if I get wet. LOL
