WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY
Sunday night it rained a little more , since we were so dry I guess we needed it ------NOT….. hasn’t rained any at all on Monday but has been cloudy all day…high temp was 57 …looks like it is suppose to be cloudy with a chance of showers all week long. Oh my this is a dreary time of year. We are caulking and fixing holes and spots and around windows and around doors in the trailer and in the rental and our house too. Our house we just caulk around most of the windows every year…just as a precaution. No need not too when caulk is so cheap and is a good preventer of a cold drafty house. You can get caulk at the dollar store for a dollar a tube and is just as good as that you pay more for anywhere else.
The trailer we still havent gotten the old roll out windows replaced in there so every year about this time we close them all up and caulk really good and then take off the window rollers so no one can open them again lol ….have to get covers for both the little a/c s that are in the trailer….that helps keep out cold too. And I have got to get new heavy curtains for in there. Want something that goes all the way across the windows from ceiling to floor that will help from the cold from the windows. I should have gotten more of that canvas and put that up for curtains that would have blocked out cold from them…not that anyone is going to be living there , just hate for it to get so cold in there. And if the elect goes off this winter for any time the renters can go in there and stay because it has gas heat and gas cook stove.
I guess im rambling again huh???
I moved several flowers today….potted up a lot of different things ….I think I will go to the farmers market this week end and sell this stuff maybe,…..now is a good time to be planting bushes and perennials and trees. As much as I have I could make a hundred dollars I do believe….even selling them at 2 to 4 dollars a piece….I need to do something with all of it so I don’t have all of these little pots sitting around with things in them all winter.
After having a lot of work done on the trike and a NEW Battery we went to take a ride this afternoon and the battery was dead and this was an expensive new battery…we are both so p---- off…paying that money the stupid trike should start any time. We called the repair shop and they said that if we can get it over to them they would check and see what it was. It better be free. After charging us what we just got thru paying them ….the battery alone was 115.00.….I think it better be free. We will see.
JANET:: So glad that you now have a surgery date. I just know you are going to feel so much better soon…at least you wont have all of that problems to deal with …and the pain that goes with it anyway.
How did Megan do in surgery? I hope everything is ok for her. Hope baby Kenzie is feeling better now.
Yes be careful at the hospital , that place is full of sick people….don’t need to get sick now just a week before surgery. ….
JO:::::I think someone really needs to rewrite the weight and height charts for us ….I don’t think we need the same ones that everyone else go by lol
So how many protein shakes can you drink in a day? 2 is the most I can possible get in in a day….they really fill me up…it takes me usually about 2 hours to get one all the way down. But I make mine like a smoothie. Really thick .I cant drink them mixed with water , just too yucky for me, but I know lots of people that drink them mixed with water or juice only…\
Yes Carbs make you think you are hungry …and you will eat more carbs and crave more carbs and then eat more carbs..etc etc.
There is a recipe for crustless pumpkin pie also sugar free pecan pie, Sugar my sister made this and was delicious…
Wow that will be great to go to only 32 hours a week. I remember when I started cutting back….two years before I retired I cut back to 32 hours and then I cut back to only working 2 days a week. Lol finally quit but it was a hard choice to make. I felt like I just was missing something in my life. I would look in every newspaper at the want ads. Lol took me about 2 years of not working to finally get use to it. But I had been working full time since I was 14 years old…when I got 18 I started working in a nursing home as an aide and then later I became a nurse. But anyway…glad that you are cutting back some so you can do some other things.
Cor:::: good to see you again. Im glad that you are getting your new job set up to start next month. Is your husband going to come and stay with you there? When I went to work for Bristol Manor a few years ago. We owned our own home but put it up for sale and got it sold in about 2 weeks. didn’t make much off of it but didn’t want to have it sitting there …anyway we went from Hurley , Mo to a brand new facility in Jefferson City Mo. So Joe had to quit his job and we jumped in full force. Joe was there to help me do all the physical stuff which left me free to go out and sell and try to get more residents. When we got there we had one resident , with in 3 months I had the place full. Then the place in Willard became available and that was closer to my family so we took it. Really liked the job..and it was the perfect way to get ahead and save some serious money….
You know what the job entails since you have been working for them already so good luck …
Glad to know you will have your internet there….
Susie:::: oh my gosh you two girls and buying clothes in the little girls dept…Susie don’t you dare say you cant see that you are little….what size do you need if wal mart doesn’t have the right size for you??? The junior dept there is jeans down to one in the wal mart here. Those are too big???? Oh my gosh that is
sometime else.
Yeah I miss summer too , or rather I missed summer. I don’t think we had one did we?? How are other things going? I continue to keep you in my prayers that you will make the decisions that will be good for you. …
Well you two have succeeded in making me feel fat lol *little girls department Indeed !!! Im just kidding you all …but lord I feel fat now for sure. ….guess those charts are right. Lol..

Yesterday was unbelievable. I think I jinxed my daughter. I told her how easy she would recover, just bounce up and be on her way.....because after her c-section and then 2 weeks ago she was put under and had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled and she bounced right back... Well, ysterday wasnt as good. She really had a tough time with that surgery and one point they told Aaron and I that they were going to have to keep her because of her nausea and pain. WHAT? I couldnt believe it. We were there ALL day long. The surgery itself was like 20 minutes, they took her in 1/2 hr early and then BAM, they were calling my cell saying they were done. I couldnt believe it. She even had to have her Ob/Gyn doc come in and check out her ovaries while she was already in there......and it was 20 minutes. The staff is so wonderful there. They gave ME a tour of where I will be next week.....they talked to me and gave me all kinds of information and that has got to be my favorite hospital. I have only had one person staff wise that wasnt AS friendly as the rest of them...they go out of their way there to be friendly and give you a sense that they care-ALL of them. Love it!
She did go home and is feeling a bit better today. Kenzie is still not quite herself yet-but she is on meds and should be doing better very soon..Hoping and praying.
The weather is crappy again. Rainy and cold. I have already been to town and back. Had to go meet Steph at her job and bring her kitty back to my house. I am watching her this week.....she is so cute, but I am just not a cat person. If she goes to the bathroom anywhere but her cat box, she is going to be outside. Steph said that once in awhile she goes on her clothes that are on the floor....o, we wont be tolerating that here. Steph said if she does, mom, put her outside. If I do that, steph is going to be a grandma...lol....we have a lot of boy cats running around and if she goes in heat-thats it! So, I dont want to do that unless we have to. SO, went to town and got that and had to stop and get some milk......this weather is kicking my butt!
I have a million things to do today and tomorrow. Tomorrow is my preop consult and then over to the hospital for all the testing. I also have to stop at school and talk to Jons teacher and turn in all my box top points. IF you guys that go to the COF meeting would be able to save your box tops and give them to me-I would soooo appreciate it-so would jon. The child that collects the most gets a prize-and I save them and use a lot of products that have double and triple box tops. They are everything from cereal, to tampons, hamburger helpers, toaster strudel...basically pillsbury stuff and betty crocker I believe-anyway, IF you would/want-would be forever grateful....
Have a list of ?s to ask the surgeon tomorrow. I am praying she will let me stay awake for the surgery, thats all I want. Not looking forward to mood swings afterwards due to the hormone issues, but am really anxious to see how much the pain changes. My other doc is going to adjust my meds the beginning of Jan, depending on how the outcome of the surgery and difference in pain etc.
Have the last RC race this weekend. Mike and Darrel are both racing and then we are done. I really hope I get to go, but Jon is fighting a cold that is really kicking in full force.. ARGH... Its so much worse now that he is in school....
Well, I have to get going. I have so much to do. I have a lot of stuff to do with the PTA at Jons school etc and there are extra things for me to do today with that too.....
Thanks to everyone for the prayers for me and my family. I love you guys, my prayer warriors-you guys are awesome!
Stay dry and warm everyone. Take care and as always, your in my thoughts and prayers! Love, Janet
Yes, the weight charts need to be reevaluated even for those not having WLS. Today I'm wearing a top, size large, and it's really too big. I refuse to think of myself as obese.

Back from vacation in New Mexico and Texas. Loved the balloon fiesta in Albuquerque, Santa Fe was neat and the Alamo and capital in Austin were fun too. Came home Friday night and was bushed all weekend. Laundry and all that. This is the first time I've been on the board so am not caught up but will see you all on the 26th.
Hugs,
Lana
