WHATS HAPPENING FOR MONDAY
Another cold day was Sunday wasn’t it? So many of my flowers have bitten the dust , still have some to clean up like the ****s combs and zinnias…I think im going to plant a lot of those next year so that I will have more flowers in the garden late.
Guess what I have now…a bike, Michele found me one at a garage sale down there and I picked it up yesterday. It is one just like I wanted. An old fashioned bike with the bigger tires and seat. And no gears. It is really pretty , I was going to ride it today but it rained and I didn’t want to go try it in the rain. Lol
I hope my knee will let me ride it. . If it doesn’t after surgery it will work. Teresa has a exercise bike that hopefully it will help get my knee in good shape too.
I think she will help me get it going as well as it can do.
I got a phone call from Vesta today…it is always so good to catch up with her again. She said that she is just so busy trying to get everything set up in her new house. I really miss her. Of course there are a lot of people that I miss ,if you don’t know who all, just go on the member list and see all that havent posted in a long long time. So many that we no longer see or hear from ,,,,I challenge you , YES YOU , if you havent posted in the last 6 months talk to us and tell us what you have been doing. We miss you. I miss you, EVERYONE MISSES YOU.
Well amazing race is getting ready to come on so I will get off of here and fini**** up late tonight or tomorrow morning.
SUSIE:::: don’t be doing a lot of lifting or you will undo all that Dr. H sewed together lol …Hope your little tree is doing well. Even if it looses its leaves it will probably be alright next year. I cant kill the little suckers. So if you have trouble making it live holler at me and I will come and cut it down and try to dig it up…it will grow like crazy then lol
I was talking to one of my granddaughters today about Christmas….it wont be long that is for sure.
Glad you are taking at least a week off from work. Hope you are still feeling well
COLETTE: whew what a huge amount of money for a your hubbys hospital bills. Wow. I just wonder if they would have charged as much tho if they knew that you didn’t have that insurance to pay them with? I know there is a different rate if you don’t have anything.
Hopefully the VA will be a way from having that high insurance payments. Things are getting higher by the minute….Joes last surgery on his neck and was in the hospital only over night was awful , our part was around 800.00 just stupid …the whole health care thing is way overpriced ….
Love you all see you tomorrow.

Oh Jan-I want a bike like that...the older looking ones with the regular handle bars-lol....none of the curly stuff or gears to shift, either! I hope you have fun on it and that your knee will hold up to it.
Im so happy Michele is doing good. I do keep her in my prayers..... Keep us posted.
When I went to Dollar General last week-there was an isle of Halloween stuff-and right across from it-an isle of Christmas decorations already! The whole side of the isle. I couldnt believe it!
The boys got out of school early on Friday and we did all of our shopping and paying bills etc-and when we got to Food 4 Less-when I went to check out-I ran right into Mel and Terry...... She looks really good. Said her dad is doing well and the family is good. Her neice just had a baby boy and her brother is living with her up here while he looks for work. I believe he is a truck driver. Anyway-its been a LONG time since I have seen her, so that was wild.
I know what you mean about the pain. I just am over it. I hate it. It makes you mentally break down and I have just dealt with it for so long, that I just dont want to deal with it anymore! I want it gone.....Im going to live with all the back pain until I have surgery on my back, but I am NOT rushing into that one. Yes, Weds is my pain management dr. Looking forward to spending the day with Steph and Renee. Well, if Renee gets to come..... I hope so.
Megan and Aaron brought Mackenzie to the track Saturday and I got to play with her for an hour or so. I love that little girl soooo much! I had 4 bags of clothes for her and a carseat......One whole bag of clothes were all brand new with the tags on them....Bought them on clearance and now she can wear them all. Actually one of the outfits was too small-lol.....but everything else fits. I bought her one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen in my life at a garage sale for $3...... She is going to be so precious in it-Megan said she is going to have her Christmas pics taken in it-since its red.....velvet with the most beautiful lace on the bottom with flowers embroidered in it! If it doesnt fit her at Christmas, then it WILL fit her for her 1st birthday in February! Im so excited about it. Alot of the clothes are winter-so that was nice.....anyway. Meg starts her new job today-at Childrens Place. She also gets a discount, which Im sure I will be utilizing....soon. LOL.....
Your NOT going to believe this-BUT......My mother went and spent the weekend with my dad-AND..... she is moving back in with him! After EVERYTHING we have gone through! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT! Now I have some decisions to make about my relationship with my mom. I havent had anything to do with my dad since that incident with him-I just am not subjecting my boys to his behavior. My mom says he was court ordered to take anger management classes and he has really changed, well-for 45 yrs they have been bouncing back and forth and he "always" has changed-until they have been back together for 6 months and it goes back to the same old crap! Im in shock over this and I am madder than hell! I mean he tried to run into us head on with my mom, daughter, son and grand-daughter in the car! The night I brought them to the meeting with me! He threatened to kill her.....Its just amazing. WOW.....
Darrel raced the novice slasher class at the RC track on Saturday-his first race ever-and he took 1st place in the 2 practice heats-and then in the main event he got nervous, crashed too many times-lol and took 3rd....thats still good considering there were like 10 kids racing! Now we know what he will be getting for Christmas-his own Slasher RC car.....
Mike races 2 classes and he took 1st and 2nd in the practice heats and BOTH cars broke in the main... I was so disappointed! I know he was too.. The part he needs hopefully will be in this week because that BIG race is Sat by KC and they are having a heck of a lot of giveaways and extra bonuses for the heats and winners...like an EXTRA $100...along with the regular reward.. They are giving away some cars that cost up to 1,000.00 and motors-stuff like that....so Im excited. Its going to be a really long day tho.. We will leave the house at 5 am to get up there and get a good pit area..and then racing starts at 2 pm and prob wont be over until at least midnite since they are expecting 150 racers up there.... I hope the weather stays nice because this cold weather is kicking my butt and the pain is just intense!
**Jan-do you think we will have a Christmas Party like last yr? That was so much fun! Would love to do that again......I guess I can check with Sugar and see if she is interested in doing that again? Will see... We had a great turn out, and everyone I talked to had a BLAST!
**Susan-Your so tiny! I love your picture! So, your a size 8-10 now? WOW!!! Renee said you were small! Im so happy for you!! I cant wait to see you and Andy! I am planning on coming this month-if im able....health wise and also for transportation..lol...have to have that! Take care, love you and see ya soon!
**Colette-good to see you here too! I think of you often! Hope you and hubby are great. Love ya.
I miss a lot of people too....Sugar, Peggy, Jeanine, Tracy, Tammy Ammy and Tammy V, Renee, Bec, Lana, Sherr, Vesta, Tami B, Glenna.....and so many many others, which Im sure as soon as I hit post, those other names will come to me-lol...if your name isnt there-PLEASE post anyway-we love and miss you...just update us and let us know how you are!
Well, I have to get going-have some errands to run today....we turned our heater on last night-it got down right cold in the house and Jon is fighting a cold... Ever since school started we have been fighting one thing after another and I have bought him several little hand sanitizers and the teacher keeps taking them out of his crayon box....so that doesnt help-I have told him every day to use what they have in his classroom-but he always forgets.
As always-your in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Janet
Good Monday Afternoon every one on OH. Just reading What's happening and thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.
Went to Seminar Saturday, and got the packet of paperwork to fill out. It actually feels like the surgery is really a possibility now. Still a little anxious about the fact that I never really kept a record of all of my diet attempts, since I was able to just lose 50 pounds here and there I didn't think I really needed a doctor's help and supervision til I was diagnosed with type II diabetes.
Did talk to my Humana Bariatric team this morning and that part of the process seems pretty much the same as Medicare, since it is a supplement of Medicare I didn't really expect it to be different. It's just like all of the steps together seem overwhelming and I have to remember to take it one thing at a time.
My husband is feeling better, God bless him I don't think he gets that he has COPD, his DR. looked at all of his x-rays and his pulmonary function and everything leads to that diagnosis. I think he's having a hard time accepting this.
I'm grateful for this board and all the people that post here. Hope everybody has a good week.
