Anyone having or had surgery at St. Alexis Hospital in St. Louis

My surgeon is Dr. Norbert Richardson from St. Alexis Newstart and I have not been able to find out a lot of information on him other than he has done over 1,000 laproscopic bariatric surgeries and my insurance company highly recommends him.

Anyone else have Dr. Richardson or have surgery done at St. Alexis?

I had surgery at St. Alexius on 8/24, but my doc was Dr. Van Wagner.  I have been to several support group meetings and classes with Dr. Richardson, and though I can't comment on his surgical skills, he is a very nice man, personable, very knowledgeable and his patients seem to love him! 

As far as St. Alexius - I was treated wonderfully, professionally and have ZERO complaints about that facility and it's staff.

That is so good to hear.  I had not met anyone who could give me information but you have eased my mind.  I really liked Dr. Richardson when I meant him and just felt very comfortable, that is why I chose him. 

How far away from St. Louis do you live?  I live 4 hours away and am wondering if I am going to need to get a hotel near the hospital after surgery.

I know I will be able to ask the surgeon in my next visit but if I am going to have to pay for a hotel for a week I want to make sure I plan ahead.

Dr. Richardson performedmy surgery.  I work in heatlhcare  and in our region he is know  as a fantastic surgeon and I will have to agree. After my rny he also performed my gall bladder surgery. His private practice is  in Washington, MO. He performed mygallbladder surgery at St. John's Mercy in Washington.

I had my surgery 3 years ago.
