I am so upset that I can't come Monday!!! But we have made 2 trips to Dr. Hornbostals and with gas and 2 nights in hotel there just isn't enough money to come to Springfield Monday
The first trip was just an office visit, second trip he did an endoscope to see why I was not feeling full and could easily eat way to much and have gained according to their scales 20 pounds
So now he wants me to come back in a month to see what my weight is.

My opening coming out of my stomach is way to large and he said it could be fixed pretty easily,
BUT medicare hasn't been paying for it!!!!  He said this is common to happen??????????

Dennis is a year out and he still can't eat over a couple bites without dumping, I was able to eat more gradually and I guess that's how the weight sneaked up on me!!! I am so frustrated because now it feels like I never had the surgery!! With my food addictions I am so afraid, because  basically  I have to go back to before surgery and diet!! And  it never worked for me before!! Why would it work now?????!!!!

Andy is this what was wrong with your stomach??
Right now I am fit to be tied!!!

Thanks for letting me vent, I just can't understand why I have to be in the percentage that this happens to.
God Bless You All

oh man that is the pitts isnt it? i sure wish you and Dennis could come but i do understand the money thing...but is still the pitts. im sorry that you are having such problems ....have you tried doing the basics of when you first has surgery for a week or two weeks? having just the liquid proteins and water and broth andstuff will help get rid of all the carbs cravings. you can do it you are a strong woman i know you can....just keep your mind on the idea  and your eyes on the final prize...remember when we first had surgery and we went in for the first appointment and how much you had lost compared to what i had lost? you can be like that again ...dont throw in the towel it will cost you too much. ...
love you so take care of Brenda....please....

I'm not sure what I am going to do yet, I do need to knuckle down and "DIET" I suppose, but it ain't gonna be easy. I would be grateful if you would mention my name to everyone at the meeting tonight and hold me up in prayer.

Brenda,

Yeah thats pretty much what happened to me.  The stoma of my pouch is enlarged.  Over a year ago when I was really struggling Dr. H sent me over to Missouri Bariatrics, I didnt know Dr. H did any kind of procedure.  I'm not sure what Dr. H does to fix it, I'd sure like find out, let me know if you know anything.  Even though this is what is wrong with me I've buckled down this last year and lost weight, over 100 lbs in the last 14 months or so.  I'll tell ya though, it hasnt been easy, those food addictions will get ya but it can sure be done if ya set your mind to it. If medicare wont pay for what Dr. H does to fix it you might try getting a hold of Missouri Bariatrics, they have a couple procedures they do and I know one or two of them are paid by medicare.  Anyway, if ya can, let me know how your doing and all.  We'll sure keep you in our  prayers.

Andy
