WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

Well if Saturday is any indication of  what weather is going to be like the rest of the week end we need to get the boat out and tie them to the back porch...In West plains they had 8 inches we didn’t have nearly that much but it is still enough it has rained all day  and I mean all day sometimes so hard you couldn’t see across the street...it rained over 2 inches here between 7am and 7pm....lot of rain for sure.

Oh Vesta where are you ? I know you are in your new house and you have internet again...so where are you ...

Wasn’t able to get any work done outside today that is for sure. So got some things cleared up and cleaned up...i don’t know how two people can be so messy. Lol

I just went thru this house before the garage sale and there is already junk piled up again .

I got some of my new spring bulbs planted the other day but I sure didn’t get them all planted.  I have loads of daffodils already but they are just the big yellow ones , even tho they are pretty these I bought are pink and white, yellow and pink , yellow and orange, lots of different color combinations. Im trying to get them to about fill up the front yard in the early spring......

John wow you are sure allowed to toot your own horn that is for sure. You are doing great and one day soon you will be hiting your goal , I just know it. keep up the good work.

Lou  I agree that there is something about highschool football , that is so basic and lots of fun... when our grandson was living with us he was into Basketball and we use to go to all of them and it is so much fun ...I ran to town today and got some redi whip and came home and made me some Chi Tea  oh boy that is good. ...now I will have my coffee protein in the morning and have the tea in the evening. Will keep me from snacking , hopefully.

Thanks for the recipe...it is really good I had to really beat it hard to get all the graiyness out. I did use ho****er out of the tapn  to make the paste. That is how I do the protein mix in the morning for my coffee....

Bec  oh girl you be careful out there walking , no matter the vest , some people are just mean enough or crazy enough to hit you on purpose. Please be careful ok?

Im so glad that the ball is working for you and I don’t think it will hurt your back if you do it right like you are. You will start seeing results soon I know ...you are such a good person about sticking with stuff. I got out my paper today that I had copied for the exercise on the ball and started using it ....i have to do something since insurance wont pay for it. they told me what it would cost if I paid for it myself and I told her that if I were going to pay that sort of money I would use it on my face....lol

Oh I am saving you some of that color seed of the Balsum ....hopefully it will work..lol never know it seems.

Do you want more of those double orange lilies? Let me know I have a big patch in the back yard that I need to move ...

I wish I could see a sunrise again. good grief we haven’t seen the sun but part of the day Friday....sure didn’t see any of it Saturday.....i hope it shines some today.....

Oh about stupid boy....a good rooster never goes into the chicken coop until all the ladies are in there...his job is really to be there to protect the hens from dangers.  The one next door is really sort of cool....if he sees a hawk or something he will let out this growl sound and all the hens will just stop everything they are doing they freeze until he moves ...neat huh? This is a huge rooster and he never gets on the roosts either  he sits in front of the door all night...more protection I guess. So maybe fryer isn’t as dumb as we think...lol

Mimi...

Oh YES! I want those double orange lilies!!! that would be fantastic!

I will be careful out walking...you are right there are "crazy's" out there...

We have not had any of that gloom you have been talking about all week... it has been sunny and nice all week here... we are getting some rain now and boy do we need it....so dry and dusty here... I get just plain smoked when a car goes by my me on the road... come in feeling all gritty! ugh  It gets in my contacts and I have to take them out and wash them...

Well... "Fryer Theo" was on the roost this morning but Paul had to put him there last night... it was after dark and he and the hen that came with him would not even go in the pen or the house they were standing on the top of the pen... he sure was crowing out there this morning though... like he is somebody! ~tee hee

Am going to take my sewing machine to a neighbor in the morning in hopes that she can get the tension set right... I want to get some new room darkeners made for Paul this week... a nice heavy mauve material that I found in the cheap racks at walmart... have had several projects I've wanted to work on for a long long time now... for all I spent getting the machine up to snuff...I've been disappointed for sure.  I still have a bit of hope she can get it set right.

Thanks again for saving me the lilies and seeds... I sure appreciate it.

Have a good day.

Home with major jet lag. Germany is nice to visit but I do not think I would want to live there. I need to ask for everyones prayers. I am going thru a major personal crisis at the moment and not sure how things will turn out. I also have surgery on Oct 1 as long as I have no more attacks. I believe it is internal hernia so thats what he will be looking for. I am hoping to not have to spend the night in the hospital but do not know about that. I also feel down a flight of steps in the Black Forest Museum. My knees took quite a hit and are still hurting. I do not know if I damaged them or not but I am able to walk . They must be made of some really hard stuff, cobalt I think. When it rains it pours with bad luck. I am trying to keep a positive attitude but its hard.

I guess I was surprised you were already to Germany and back.  Wow!  What an opportunity to see different places.  I, personally, have never been out of the USA.  I hope you are ok from the fall.  Is the Black Forest Museum in Germany.  If it is, did they send you to be checked out?  Prayers are also out for you that things will settle in your life.  God bless!  Colette

gee some people get all the rain.  we have not had any rain in 30 days!  It is so dry and dusty.  the ground is so hard that I cannot even get the tomato cages out.  afraid I will fall on my tush.  So I keep waiting.  Had a chance today, but it must have flown over us to Bec.  Lol.

Jan, do the elephant ears have to be replanted each year?  Also I dont undersatand why some people are covered by medicaire for skin removal and others are not!  See, we have private insurance and if medicaire does not pay it will not pay.  And we pay 550.00 a month for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you appeal the decision?   I dont plan on having it done, just dont want to go under the knife again.  God Bless, Colette

Hi there everyone ;)  It sure is looking like a rainy day again.  I wi**** would only rain during the week.  When your at work and leave the weekends alone.  We didn't get to go to Cider days because it was raining yesterday and so we were going to go today but I guess we can scratch that too.  Its not really raining here just misting, enough to be annoying.   Frank and Gage left this am to go see the Raiders/Chiefs game.  Frank is from Oakland so we are big Raiders fans here at out house.  When its football season he has this Raiders flag that flies and you should see the looks and fingers we get when people drive by LOL  too funny.  I hope they have a good time and don't get wet. Today I'm going to get caught up on laundry and just be lazy.  All this new found energy has me running.  I guess I'm making up for lost time.  I finally found something to wear to my reunion with the help of Jade. ;)  So I can check that off the list.  Last night we went over to our friends house and about 10 pm she decided she wanted to go get a tattoo. LOL  So downtown we went and while we were there I got my nose pierced.  I've wanted to do it forever and now that I don't work at the hospital it was good timing. Its the tiniest diamond you've ever seen. When i get tired of it I'll just take it out.  SUSIE  I'm glad you had a nice time on your trip and I will say a prayer for your personal problems.  Collette we will gladly give you some rain.  Last night we parked about 10 blocks away from the shop and it rained so hard we had to take a cab to our car.  Just going to the cab we were soaked.  I hope everyone has a wonderful day!  GO RAIDERS! ;) Lou

No rain here but it looks like it today.  Yesterday was just a perfect day weatherwise.  Our kids were out at a campsite about 10 miles from here and invited us out for dinner.  We had burgers and dogs.  I just can't eat hamburger buns.  Other types of bread are okay but I rarely eat any kind of breads.  It sprinkled a little bit off and on and as the evening went on, it was pretty cool.

Fashion Bug had a 50% off sale and I just had to go in.  I had a $10 coupon on $25 in purchases.  I intended to only buy $25 and spend $15.  I spent $56.  I got 3 tops and 2 short sleeve sweaters.  It's so much more fun to shop in the Misses dept.

I wrote down the recipe for Chai Tea that Lou posted.  Sounds very good.  Since I saw the picture of her Click drink topped with whipped cream, I make mine like that.  Love the stuff.  I tried a dollop of Cool Whip but it just doesn't work as well as the stuff in a can.

Jan...

Yes he was injured in Iraq.  He was in over 360 missions and in 3 massive explosions.  One was with a 500 lb. bomb and they still don't know how he kept from getting killed as it "blew" him through the building and over 20 feet before he hit another blding.  Right now he is trying to get rated for his VA disability but we know that it will take several weeks/months.  He is a good kid and a very hard worker.  He isn't one to complain or ask for help even though he probably needs it more than most....

I have a funny Rooster story....   I grew up on a dairy farm and we kept everything from the milk cows all the way down to the chickens (buff orphingtons)..  anywho... one of our neighbors down the road had this big white leghorn rooster that they had raised from an easter chick.  He was so lonely that they offered him to us ......well we brought him home and of course those stupid chickens started pecking on him...  wouldn't stop ( I guess they didn't think much of the outsider) and before long his beautiful comb was getting bedraggled.

Well I tried everything that I could think of and those stupid chickens wouldn't leave him alone...  I went into town with my mom one day and I saw one of those big gumball machines ..the kind that gives out toys instead of gumballs.  Well they had those little plastic NFL football helmets in them..   I got to thinking that they were around the right size...  so I got one.   Luckily I got one that had just the place kicker style face guard on it..and I went home and stuck it on my rooster.

It FIT!  He strutted around like he thought he was literally the ****ofthewalk ... and those stupid chickens came up of course and tried to peck him... one peck and I guess the noise or feel of it scared them.  They never bothered him again...   Somewhere I have a picture of that rooster...if memory serves right I think his helmet was the Miami Dolphins one.. I remember orange/blue/white which I think is the Miami colors....

anywho...hope that brought a smile to some....

Rain, Rain, Rain - that's all I saw today, along with a few crazy patients!   I'm working a 24 on the ambulance today, but overall not a bad shift!  I am praying for some sleep tonight!

Glad to hear from everyone today, hope you all have a great Monday!
