Daily Bible Reading - Saturday September 19th
Good Morning All... wonder how Andy is coming along with his "puter"? Sure hope he can get it all fixed up ...he does a much better job at this than I do. I miss his thoughts and devotionals...
Today's Reading
Isaiah 30:12~33:12
Galatians 5:1~12
Psalm 63:1~11
Proverbs 23:22
In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength. Boy oh boy have I found this verse to be true in my life!
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. for the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! I sure need His grace everyday!
How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears he will answer you. A sweet promise.
This is the way walk ye in it.
... the Lord binds up the bruises of his people and heals the "brokenhearted". Truth
The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest. How true I have found this to be in this day... let alone the future.
O Lord be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress. Do I EVER need new strength every morning!
The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness. He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. How many times recently have I read about the "fear of the Lord" I guess I should set up and take notice even study on it more.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Instruction...and good ones too! ~smile
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. How much better off I am when I do this!
On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.
WOW how much good word can be packed into one day?!? I think this day has ministered to me more than any other this year! So much instruction and comfort in the words today... sometimes when I get this much good, it makes me sad that I do not have more faith and tenacity than I do when all I have to do is "lend an ear" and what I need is right there, if I can just grasp ahold and know that the Lord is Yea and Amen... over and over we have been told of His love for us and provision... Becky you need to believe what you read you know it's true, take comfort and be at peace like it says! ~ha
Have a wonderful and blessed Saturday!

Dear Bec,
As I read todays reading, I wept. How gracious he will be when you cry for help.....as soon as he hears you, he will answer. I have been going through so much, that maybe I havent just given it all to him, you know?
I love that he will take our "bruises" and heal our broken hearts. I definitely have the bruises and I take GREAT PEACE knowing he WILL HEAL MY BROKEN HEART... HE WILL HEAL MY BRUISES!
How simple it is, if I would just DO IT, you know? LOL... Why am I so forgetful of what HE WILL DO, if I just shut up, be quiet, ask? Thank you, Bec-for being the Lords shepherd today.....thank you for taking the time to tell me I needed to see todays reading. Thi**** home, and I needed it. I sure did. AMEN!
Love you and appreciate you doing this while Andy is getting his puter fixed. Janet
