I'm sorry your having a tough time.  I can promise you that it keeps getting better and better.  Once you get threw to some food.  I remember I could hardly wait for some cream of wheat.  You have to remember you've just been threw major surgery.  That with not being able to eat for awhile wears on the nerves.  Hang in there, there is light at the end of the tunnel.  I promise! ;) Lou

Gosh, I remember that feeling well!! your hormones are going all out of whack, and if you had to do the long pre surgery liquid diet...well it just seems to never end!!  if i were you, i'd just cut out the jello for now completely, it kind of fills you up and you need to be getting all the liquids in you can (i know jello is technically a liquid but it is also full of air and it's filling) pretty soon you will be able to have a bite or two of solid food and as long as you don't try to overdo it , it will taste like heaven. try to get chicken n oodle soup. strain the noodles out, it tastes so much better than boullion if that's what your using. the protein drinks are here to stay so you've got to find one you can tolerate...i found one at cosco, it's called premier protein and it tastes great..seriously, i am a year and a half out and it is literally the only one that doesn't make me want to ralph lol, it also has 30g of protein and only 1 g sugar, plus like 25% of all the vit-min. etc. only drawback it's kind of spendy 23.99 for an 18 pk. but since your saving on food...try not to eat just yet, you've only got a little while longer to go before you can have semi solids...come on here and rant and rave away, we've been there and you will get through it..promise. best of luck, susan

You can do it - you can do it - you can do it. Sometimes it helps to just say three more days, or one more week or even 10 more hours. I do that when I am hit with the carb monster. I tell myself "If you still want this in 2 hours you can have it". By then I'm usually doing something else and have forgotten it.
BUT, I try not to have those evil carbs around cause it's too easy to grab something I don't need. You are in the hardest part but other than being bored to death with the foods, you're in the honeymoon phase - you won't eat enough to not lose. Just enjoy this time. I am happy to report though, that my tool still works after nearly three years - I just have to make my head shut up!!! I still battle head hunger and that will never go away. We just have to teach our-selves tricks to get by!! AND remember to be so very thankful for our surgery!! It's the best thing I ever did for my health.
Hugs and I know you can do it. Try not to eat anything not approved - have you had SF popcicles yet? They really helped me at first. Also you got good advice on the protein - you have to do it so keep trying until you find one you can tolerate. I use Click Expresso Mocha stuff with skim milk and ice in my blender. I can't say I love any of it but it's gotta be. Just can't ever eat enough protein to stay healthy and keep losing weigh****er and protein are essential for weight loss.
Hugs and I'm rooting for you. Keep us in the loop.

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."
