WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY. THE 14TH

Today was so dreary and damp...never got above 70 down here all day......dont it feel like fall ? and is suppose to be like this all this week I think? Who knows it is weird weather for sure. Most of my flowers are going to seed already...like the ****scombs. They are turning to seed. They usually don’t do that until late Oct. leaves are turning color and falling off the trees.

Oh man Joe almost cut his toes or foot off today with the push mower. He was using it and was walking backwards with it and tripped over a rock and the mower ran up over his foot. Luckly it just cut the top of the shoe off ...Oh my gosh. Can you believe that? He has always been an accident  waiting to happen, he hasn’t changed  lol .Just Thank God that the mower blade didn’t  go any deeper...i cant believe him sometimes.

I did my fall decorations out by the road today. With my big wire chickens , mums and bales of straw and our Cooks Corner sign.  Was going to take a picture and put it online but forgot it. ....and I need to spray paint my chickens again. they have rusted and you cant see them that well in front of that big sign log.

I wish I had some way to fasten them on top of the log. Hey I just thought of something maybe that will work...will let you all know if it does.

I have an appointment with the bone doctor tomorrow about my knee...or I do if it doesn’t rain. Our truck is still at the doctors. And we will have to ride the trike to town. If it is pouring down I will call them and make it for another day...just wanted to go ahead and get it all lined up .once I find out when I am to have the knee surgery then I can decide wheather to have the skin removal first or not.

Hope it doesn’t rain.

John   lol  yeah that makes you a lurker, thanks for coming out of the closet so to speak. Lol

This is just a good place to get to know everyone at some and realize that your life and your problems aren’t that much different than any one elses...Keep posting it really does help with weight loss....     \

Jo    I have an idea why we are so much busier now than then is because we just didn’t do much before surgery and no one expected it of us lol ....i know that has to be cute the little ones playing ball , their attention span isn’t very long and can be distracted easily...

Sounds like your shopping trip turned into just a looking trip....

Have fun with the surpise party or is that today?

Jeanie-Rae  hey that is great about coming to our next support meeting....where is it you live? Oh yeah Seymour, where is that near? Thought maybe you might be able to get together with someone near you to ride together here. Im excited about getting to meet you...I know you will love the group , if you will send me your email address I will send you the email I send out every month about the meetings....you can use the contact button on here to leave it ok...

If you have any questions of your own about the surgery let us know we all try to help of course you may get several answers but that is ok you can try each one of them and let us know which one helped you . lol

Morning Everyone!

Am overstaffed on-call today from the hospital so will just piddle around the house.  Am planning on putting up the canning supplies for the seson.  The only things I have left to do is dry more hot peppers and then make some more relish and jelly.  I am tired of canning!!!

Did try out a recipe for Navajo Fry bread as Dad enjoys a crusty bread.  I was able to tolerate a bit.  I still have touble with fresh bread - even after 2 years.  Toast is okay.

Need to get the sewing machine out and use it as I need to take in some tops and slacks.  I am staying at 150 - 155 pounds.  Can't seem to get above that.  Still in a size 12.  Never thought I would be this size as I wore 28 to 32's for so long.  Most people think I am still to skinny as I have a large bone structure.  I wasn't this size in 7th grade and was 180 pounds and in 9th grade I wa****ting 200 pounds.

My labs were good at the dr's visit Friday.  Had an episode last night from taking 2 tylenol and an ultram for a bad headache - will not do that again.

Did you all have a good Grandparents Day?  I got to talk with my daughter!  That made my day!!!

Take care - sandy

Good Morning.  We had a wonderful weekend.  Both of my kids are sick.  I think its bronchitis.  I guess they will go to the Dr today.  I hate it that they are sick like this.   Me on the other hand feels great. LOL  Maybe its all the vitamins warding off the colds, I sure hope so.  I don't want to get sick before our trip to Arizona.   I've got to go to the office today and I have a closing tomorrow.  I'm going to take all our left over garage sale items to the goodwill tomorrow. Then I need to decorate for Halloween.  I can't believe its already this time of year!  CRAZY how time flies.   Well I better get in the kitchen and make my click frappicino and call my grandma.  I talk to her every morning.  ;) I hope everyone has a wonderful day!  ;) Lou

Wow things have been crazy for us. Sorry it has been so long. I hope everyone is doing good. Well my ins is changing so now I have to see what I will have to do to get the surgery. It looks like it might be easier to get through as far as the weight loss attempts go. I hope so cause I was not able to get into my dr in august so that messed up the one I had started. I am back in college full time for the fall semester. The summer break sure was nice but now back to the books. I fell off the wagon on losing weight when I messed up my dr visit so I have to get back on. I have not even stepped on my scale to see what has happened with my weight. I will try to keep up better.....

My decorating consists of hanging a fall wreath on the front door.  I found a really cute door hanger with a little girl inside the wreath and welcome across the top for $6 at Old Tyme Pottery.

I did find the dishes I want on Amazon so I'll be ordering them and getting free shipping.

The graduation party was yesterday and was very nice.  My nephew graduated from fireman school and is going to take EMT training soon.  He will be 27 next week.  He became a problem child in HS and just got his life together this year.  My sister has been a great mother to him.  His dad pretty ignored him after he decided he didn't want to be married any more.  He finally got his GED then took this training so we're all very proud of him.  He is very enthusiastic about his new career.

Weather is great here.  We did turn on the AC again Saturday because it was so hot.  My allergies were aggravating me after sitting out at the soccer game.

Hope everyone has a good day!!

Wow what a weekend!  Am sooo glad to be back home!  I think we have finished up all that we were obligated to do now...  but do you know I got myself into another "project" when we go down the first weekend in October for the Craft Festival and Farm Show.... Will I ever learn! ~tee hee

Oh boy did I get a HUGE blessing!  My sil shops largely at Christopher & Banks and she gave me a HUGE bunch of very very nice clothes from her closet!  It was so very exciting... they were mostly all size 14... I will get alot of use out of them and will take up all I can when they are too big for me... hopefully!  I could never of afforded to go buy them!  I was blessed! blessed! blessed!  It was like birthday, Christmas, flag day and any other day you could possibly celebrate!!!  I couldn't even begin to describe all of them there was so many!!!   Talk about excitement!  I HAD IT!!!!

Then I went to my usual places to get the things I cannot get around here... Food 4 Less for protein powder, and Sam's where pork loin was on sale for $1.38 a lb... so I got 6 of them cut them up, packaged and froze them... such a good price and little fat in them... good protein too.... I cut off the large end and am going to cook them in my crock pot and then pull it and add BBQ sauce for "pulled pork" sandwiches with out the bread for me but my family will love it on toasted garlic buns!  I got nearly 50 lbs... should last the winter for sure.. I also get the Divinci's SF Caramel Syrup there too for much much less than I can get it at Walmart.  String cheese is appox 13 cents a piece verses the 25 cents at Wal~mart...

AJ came up from Branson and brought me two very beautiful LARGE mums from the College of the Ozarks.. they are fuchsia with bright yellow centers for my tubs down at the entry way.... I love them!  Mimi can I leave them in there thru the winter?  Will it freeze the roots?

Then we bummed around in the mall... and I found a pair of brown pumps for $6.?? that was originally $60... and I didn't even "wobble" on them like I used to when I was "super" heavy!!!  I also found tanks for exercise at Kmart for $2.50 for next summer... I got 5 of them....

My sil found me the Thera Shoes I have been looking for for a long long time at K~Mart and they were on sale ... I saved $40 ... she got me 4 pair.. I'm set for a year at least. ~ha I wear a pair of shoes out about every 3 months... I was not sure I would like them but had heard so many good things about how they were helping so many with lower back pain. I have walked about 36 miles in them now and am real pleased with them.  My back still hurts but I know you have to give them some time as you are working so many different muscles with the "rocker" motion they provide, but I do know the impact to my feet is much much less!!!

I want to say again how much I enjoyed the getting together with all of you last Wednesday and all the kind words I read about myself when I got back!  I know I do not deserve all the wonderful things you all said about me and if I happened to it is not in myself that I do... it is every bit the Lord's "glory"... I am weak and in myself and fail for sure!!!

Well I have a few chores and some study to do before it's time to get out and walk again... boy is the days shorter now! I used to go out in the evening around 7:30 and now I need to get out there by 6:00 to get back before dark... I will not like it when daylight savings time goes back... it seems to get dark so early... but then I will have changed my routine all together by then and will not be out there so much... any way it's going to happen whether I like it or not huh? ~ha

Mimi ~ I left your Probiotics in my mil's fridge so when you go up there you can pick them up... call me, I will give you her cell # so you can set up a time and get directions.

Cor ~ anytime you want to bum around just let me know and we can set up a time... would be great!

Jennifer ~ I'm sorry you were not able to get your drain out but I have high hopes for you... and am so glad you are still able to tolerate some "real" food!

Colette ~ Are you working on your hubby to get him to Becky's Lunch Counter? ~tee hee

Lou ~ oh boy are we going to see different women when we get to see each other again... basically our whole surgery effects all at one time... will have to try your new coffee drink too.

Sugar ~ so sorry we could not get together this past weekend but maybe soon.

Barb~ missed seeing you on Wednesday but sure understand.

Well goodness I've rattled... I better chop chop and get some things done...

Hey Corrine;

Don't worry about the internal hernias (also know as Peterson Hernia) I had one over 4 years ago and Dr. H says they aren't that common. At least with his patients.

Glad to hear you are at least holding your own now. It will all work it's way out. Your body is just confused.

Hugs;
