WHATS HAPPENING FOR FRIDAY
Yesterday was a busy busy day....we went into town and did a lot of running around, I finally have an appointment to get my hair cut and colored , man it is about time. lol
I told everyone that if they think I am covering up complete grey hair now is the time for them to find out. It isn’t too bad there is some grey in it in but not much for my age. My hair over the years has gotten so dark and I liked my red hair I had a few years back so that is why I color it . not to cover the grey so much but to get back my normal , natural color I had ...wonder why our hair gets so much darker as we get older. Must be a reason, like camouflage or something lol
Have an appointment for the truck to get it totally refurbished too. we try to keep it totally kept up since it is the only closed in auto we have. And it is paid for so why not keep it. it still looks good and runs good and gets decent gas mileage. We have looked at several different newer trucks but they all require our truck and lots of dollars which means wiping out our meager savings or making payments and neither is something we want to do. so we will spend a few hundred now and then to keep it running well and everything repaired and keep it I guess lol
Well I found out you cant freeze eggplant ...lol maybe a lot of you already knew that but I didn’t...it turns almost black when you freeze it. don’t know what else you can do to save it some. I have the most beautiful little light purple eggplants and they are producing like crazy and we can only eat so many of them ...if they are still producing like this at support meeting time I will bring you all some . they are delicious when baked with tomatoes and cheese and onions.
Well I am going to answer you all and then I have got to get busy I bought some mums again yesterday and have to plant them or something. Also some more grasses to put up front..in our entrance flower beds..now I need to buy some of the little clumps of blue fescue and plant around the edges and those will be done.
Need to pick all the okra out of the garden and put that up ...oh wow lots to do. hopefully this week end we will get the chickens pen put over where we want it and rebuild their house differently...if Joe had done it the way I wanted in the first place he wouldn’t have to re do it lol .but he was in a hurry and wanted to get done . so now he has to re do it lol
I put him a compressor and 3 different nail guns in hiding yesterday for Christmas. He will be so excited to get them and he really struggles to hammer in nails sometimes. He doesn’t have a lot of strength and control in his arms and hands anymore. Looks like it would get better instead of worse.
Traci my D3 levels were in April 61 and since have been taking 10000 units daily wont be able to take it again till after the first of the year so insurance will pay for it. but hopefully it is up. Calcium was 9.4 and that was before I even knew that you were suppose to take 1800 mg...i was taking only 650 mg daily then. So it should be up too.
I just had magnesium, copper, PTh and calcium levels all drawn by orders of Dr. H yesterday. So we will see what they say ....
You like watching birds? Joe and I do too. we keep several bird feeders going all the time we are trying to come up with a sure fire way to keep the squirrels out of our bird feeders. They just tear them up no end. We had 8 bird feeders and now we are down to 2 that they haven’t torn up...stupid rats. Although I cant call them stupid as much as I get mad at them they are pretty smart as quick as we think of something that will deter them they figure out a way to get around it. lol
3000 mg of calcium ?? wow how do you find hours enough to get it all down. They say we cant metoblize more than 600 mg at a time and then you cant get it too close to your iron as it messed up the iron... maybe I will switch my iron pill and vit c to bedtime and start the day with breakfast pills with calcium .....will wait and see what these new blood test show. Will get the print outs probably Monday or Tuesday and will tell you what they show. ...i feel great most of the time . I do have times that I get so tired but I think most of that is arthritis. When it gets inflamed it causes all sorts of things.
You live over close to
Susan oh yeah we had a great time staying with Bec, I said anyone that goes away from her house hungry or not feeling loved , then they need to check their love receptacles lol
Cause it sure isn’t her fault . she is the most fantastic hostess there is I do believe. I told her she needs to open up a tea room or bed and breakfast either one. She is a wonderful cook plus she is so loving and giving that her guests would never want to leave lol
Hey congrats on the size 10s wow isn’t that amazing ? remember I have a stack of size 8s here if you need them lol I don’t know if I am ever going to get there.
Colette so glad that hubby was ok when you got home. that is great I know you were worried about being out too long but you needed it for sure. It was wonderful to see you again too. Joe said to tell you hi and he feels like he knows most of everyone on here because I talk about all of you so much lol
Come down and visit some time , bring hubby . he would love it down here I bet.
Have you heard from Barb?
Jo yep you missed out on lots of fun and you were missed. I kept hopping you would show up anyway. Lol
Time to work ? oh well when I worked I don’t think I did all of this extra stuff lol I had two or three average flower beds that didn’t take much time to do. I said I think I need to go back to work to rest up some. Lol
Good luck on your doctors appointment....

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
I am so sorry I had to miss the luncheon. I had plans to go but, had to make an appointment with my pcp. I have been having some problems so the pcp thinks I am having seizures. I will be having appointments with a neuologist and a cardiogist. I have had this problem for a few years and it is worse. I never know when this is going to happen. This sure sounds like a lot of drama doesn't it? LOL I will keep you all informed.
Jan, being married to a mechanic for over 40 years, I can tell you, you are doing the right thing by servicing your vehicle on a regular basis. Hubby always says that an oil change is the cheapest and best manintenance you can do for your vehicle.
How do you prepare and cook your okra?
Susan, you asked about "Baby", she is great. She doesn't like it when I leave still. Congrats on the weight loss.
Well, no matter what happens or how we feel, housework goes on so, I better get started for the day.
Hugs;
Barbara

I am looking forward to seeing the skinny minis at the next meeting. I hope I am well and can be there. School has been stressful but I am adjusting. I am beginning to discipline a little more and they are not happy. They expect to get away with more with a substitute
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
