what a day oh my

 I headed out to work early this morning as usual and started my day at school. About halfway thru the first hour I started having cramps and they got worse and worse. Then I got nauseated. I went to the bathroom thinking that would help but it didn't. I was in pain and felt like I was gonna be sick. I haven't thrown up since surgery and not even sure I can. Then I got light headed and felt like I was going to pass out. I could not even walk across the room to the phone to call the office for help. I had to ask a student to do it. They sent in a teacher to check on me ,he took my BP and it was higher than its been in a long time. I kept getting worse so he told them to call 911. I was transported by ambulance to the base ER . I started feeling better on the way and felt so silly. I just knew it was gonna be just gas pains. After I got in the ER I had another attack. They did a CT scan and then later asked for a second one. They could not find anything to cause the pain. I have to go see Dr H on Thursday. I had cancelled an appointment with him because I did not have a referral from my pcp. I guess I should have just planned to go anyway. I didn't get home til about 5 so my whole day was spent there.
If anything is wrong this is the worst time for it to happen. I have a major vacation trip coming up. DH is worried I shouldn't leave the country. He said what if this happened in a plane over the ocean. I sure hope it isn't anything. I am feeling fine now and haven't had gas so I have no idea what happened.
I hope everyone else is doing well and there are no complications. I guess everyone worries more when they hear you had RNY.

From some of your symptoms I would begin to wonder if you had a partial obstruction and/or kink going on.  The attacks can literally hit you like a bolt of lightening out of the blue and I am telling you that they are DROP DEAD painful.

I have been through several diff. types of surgeries as well as natural childbirth and NOTHING even came close to the pain level that I felt with this.

The first two incidents it seemed to finally pass and noone was the wiser as to what was causing it.  The last time was it..  I obstructed all the way and nothing came unkinked.  It was surgery time for me...

When my last episode hit I ended up being transported by ambulance... it was not a pretty picture....  I was in so much pain..

OMG Susie!  I'm glad your OK.  I've had some really bad gas pains.  I had some in the middle of the night( woke me up from a deep sleep) and I layed there thinking I had something bad wrong.  Stabbing pains and I was nauseated and sweaty.  Could have been gas and low blood sugar both.  Better go see the Dr.  get the aok before you leave town. ;) Lou

Susie, please be careful.  I am with pixie on this one, sounds like you got something major going on.  By the way be sure to take your scan pics with you so Dr. H can have a look.  What time are you getting here Thurs.  I want to see you!!!  I want to show you the trailer too. I have been cleaning on it a lot I am hoping to get moved soon maybe before the first snow!
Glad to hear you and hubby are going on vacation again, can't wait to hear all about that one too.
