Good Morning All...

Starting day 2 of my liquid diet...woke up with a little bit of a headache, but have already taken some Tylenol and it has subsided.  Went to bed really early (for me) last night as I was so low energy and tired.  Feel pretty good this morning...working on my Nectar Apple Ectasy protein shake.  So far....I've liked all the shakes I've tried....really like these Nectar ones!

Reading through some posts....I have another question for those of you who have had surgery at St. Luke's in KC.....how is the hospital? nurses? Any stories, thoughts, tips that you could share about the "hospital" experience. DId your spouse stay with you the whole time?

Kids are back to school today and hubby back at work...time for me to get the house back in shape and do some laundry.  Also have to clean the local dance studio today.  Works out well for me to clean the studio weekly in exchange for dance tuition for my 2 girls.  Takes 1-2 hours.

Have a great day everyone!

Your doing great!  To me this was the worst part even compared to the surgery.  Hang in there time flies and next thing you know it will be your surgery day! ;) Lou ps I love the new avatar!

That's great that you like the shakes.  It was trial and error for me but I finally found some I like.  I've not found any ready to drink that I can tolerate.

My experience at St. Luke's wasn't so great.  My husband visited but didn't stay with me.  I was there 4 days and had no roommate which I liked.  The nurses and staff were very nice but weren't very good about checking on me.  Everytime I needed fresh water I had to press the call button.  The first morning they brought me a regular breakfast.  I had to remind them of what I was supposed to eat.

My husband has been a patient there several times and has always gotten excellent care so I was surprised that I didn't.
