Got a wake-up call
My other half and I both went to DR.s yesterday, my visit was good, and felt better about my decision to do the RNY.
My husband had to go to cardiologist, referred by our PCP, and he is the kind of DR. that tells you what is going on. His previous cardiologist didn't talk to him when he had tests done, he just listened to his heart, talked into his recorder and said see you whenever.
Our new cardiologist explained the results of his recent echo-cardio. Not really good news, he has Arotic Stenosis, and his blood is basically regurgitating back into his heart. I think what i****ting me the hardest is finally knowing the severity of his heart condition, and he doesn't want me to tell our kids. Dr. did tell us that if he has to have open heart again his risk of failure is higher than the triple by-pass he had, and I want his children to know what's happening so they can spend as much time as possible with him. I want to call them and tell them but I am going to wait and let him take the initiative, I said we should talk to the kids and he didn't say no, so I guess I'll give it a few days and see what happens.
So sorry to hear about your husband. I would agree your children should know. If something does happen to him, they might feel resentful that they weren't told.
I will be praying for you and your husband.
Have you had RNY or are you going to have it? It's the best thing I could have done for myself.

Dr. John Price
Kansas City, MO
I am going to seminar Oct. 3 for RNY. Get more excited everyday.
Thank-you for feedback, We want to try to get them together and explain, right now he's trying to kick bronchitis. I knew he was sick but we thought it was the bronchitis, Dr says probably mostly that but could be other. We'll see, if he doesn't start feeling better soon Dr. wants to see him again.
will keep praying for you and your hubby...take care of yourself first and foremost if you dont you cant take care of anyone else......
