Well i am home on Tuesday...and not with a gastirc bypass...they started my surgery had all the cuts made and the instruments in and when Dr.De La Torre put the scope in to see all the good things inside he seen my liver and said that i could not have the surgery I have Cirrhosis of the Liver..and no i am not a drinker. So he did a biopsey and sent it off to see what can be done to treat it..When i came too after they got me in my room on of the surgeons was there waiting on me to tell me the bad news...I was dissappointed but just thankful that they caught this...they said when my liver heals i can still have the surgery if i want too...they said that would take 6 months to a year..I am home and in quite a bit of pain but i am ok..thanks to all who prayed for me and has been here for me I am still going to make it to that losers seat on way or another I AM NOT GIVING UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, Mystic-- what an obstacle on your journey.  I'm so sorry about your liver, but thank God the surgeon discovered this.  I really like your positive attitude through it all, and I encourage you to keep that same attitude during your wait for WL surgery.  Seems like a long time to wait, but worth a healthy liver.  Perhaps you'll even lose some weight as the liver heals.  Hugs and best wishes!

I was thinking about you today having your surgery.  I'm so sorry that it didn't happen but am thankful they found this liver problem so it can be fixed.  At least you know once they get your liver healed you can still have the surgery.  I hope you feel better soon! ;) Lou

Sounds like your Dr. has your best interest at heart. Your attitude is wonderful. Please stay on the board so we can be with you all the way. We all want to support you during this. Prayers to keep you safe today was answered. Not always what we expect but answered non the less. Will keep praying.

Mystic i am so so sorry that you have a liver that needs fixing...i know you have to be disapointed but you have a wonderful spirit and a great attitude and realize that if you hadnt gotten to this point you may not have know about the liver till you were very very ill.  All things happen for the good for him that serves the Lord.
