Wow, one week down, and what a physical and mental rollercoaster!!!

Felt ok leaving the hospital on Tuesday day 2.  The stomach muscle pain really kicked in that evening.  Wednesday was a little rough only walked .5 miles, but Thursday SUCKED!  Lots of pain, felt weepy, started having those dreaded second thoughts - UGH!  Lots of headaches all week too.    Only walked .5 again.

Well waking up Friday there was a noticable improvement walked 1 mile, Saturday felt even better - spent the whole day enjoying the weather with my wife and walked 2 miles.

Today - day 6 - I FEEL GREAT!!!!!!
We have been outside all day, back up to a 2.5 mile evening walk with the kids and dogs, and I have lots of energy.   My wife asked me "Who are you, and what did they do to you in that surgery?!?!"    I'm ready for week 2!!!

Thanks for all the support, I really appreciate it!

John it is so wonderful that you are feeling well now and we all went thru some of those things you describe especially the buyers remorse, it usually only last about a day or so and you start feeling better and it gives you that extra spurt to do more...
it just gets better and better as you go down the scale, and up in energy.....keep us informed how you are doing.

John...

So glad you are feeling better.  This whole journey sure is a process but you hang in there  I have my mascot jumping for you! ~ha

Glad to hear you are walking... I  walk 4 miles in the morning and then 4 in the evening... it has been the very best thing for me this past year. I started at 318 lbs and have between 20 and 40 lbs to go now... When I'm done I will have lost between 140 and 160 lbs.  It DOES get better and better!

Best wishes this next week!

Glad to hear you're doing so well.  The first few days I thought maybe being fat wasn't so bad.  I had extreme nausua for about 3 days.  Since then I've had no problems and life is so much better without all those pounds.
