Eatin' Good....I'M BAAAAAACK!!!!!!!
Hey y'all!
It has been insane in this household for about two months and I am beginning to feel slightly normal....for me, anyhow! So I know that I need to stay accountable with my food choices and I'm sure many of you may have to desire to keep track of your choices also.
Since my surgery (hysterectomy) last month and then hubby injuring his hand at work a week later things had gotten out of control and we were both struggling. So I decided to put us both on a semi liquid diet and get our eating under control. Now hubby has not had RNY but he has become sedentary because of not being able to work and has experienced some weight gain. So we agreed to do this together...well, more like I told him that this is what we were going to do! haha....
Remember...I am almost 4 years out from my RNY so do not gauge your eating ability against mine. You stay true to your surgeon's instructions.
Outta bed...coffee and lots of it. I seem to need more since he is home..wonder why? LOL
Lunch....Double chocolate protein shake....I use lo carb chocolate milk and 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder. I know I can't absorb as much protein as in the shake but it seems to keep me fuller.
Snack....banana
I made hubby lasagna and I took some of the filling and baked it up for myself...no noodles. I had a couple bites of the filling when I was making it.
We will have a lo cal treat later tonight.
Water and vits are all on track.
So how did you all do today? Anything exciting going on in your world? I know I haven't managed to keep up with everybody's goings on so I hope that you are all doing well.
So Missouri....talk to me...fill me in, let me know how you are doing!

Yay!! Peggy's back!! So good to see you on here and doing better, we've sure had you in our prayers. It'll be good to track our food again, I been lazy about keeping track of it lately and I know it really helps me for sure, especially when I struggle with food.
Outta Bed - Banana and Peanut Butter Protein shake, Susan had a Cinnomin Bun protein shake.
Midmorning - we both had some sliced cucumber with a couple tsp of low fat ranch dressing and a couple dill pickles.
Lunch - 1pm or so had a strawberry protein shake, Susan had another cinnamon bun protein shake I think.
Supper - I cook a couple pieces of steak simmered in low carb tomatoe sauce and homemade salsa, and I sautee'd some yellow squash. I had 4 oz of steak and a lil squash, Susan had maybe 2 oz. she gets full so quick, wish I was like that still.
Snack - Had a couple dill pickles.
Water and vitamins are on track, exercise isnt as good as it needs to be, we're working on doing something different to get in some good exercise.
Again it's great to see you back Peggy!!
