Had my surgery Monday!!!

Well, surgery was Monday afternoon, and I came home last night.  I actually felt pretty good at the hospital but I have some really bad muscle pain today all around my stomach.  The good news (I suppose) is I am easily tolerating, water, broth, popsicles and jello.

I am taking the Lortab liquid pain medicine, but it really isn't much help for the muscles.  I also have the OnQ pain ball supplying local anesthetic to my belly.  That must be helping because I have not had any "internal" stomach pain.

Besides the muscle pain and a little diarrhea, all is well.  I am walking as much as possible, and doing my breathing exercises.  I started my journey at 460, and on my surgery date I was down to 380, needless to say my surgeon was very happy about that!!!!

See you all soon!
John

Sounds like you are doing great.  You've done well already with weight loss.  Believe me, you will feel like a new person getting the weight off.

I always thought I was energetic and felt good but after losing over 70 lbs. I see how good really feels.  I have 16 lbs. left to lose to make my doctor's goal but want to lose 20-25 to meet my personal goal.
