WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

Everyone must have been out enjoying this beautiful weather this weekend, it has been really quite here on the board.

I know yesterday I cleaned all of the house early, even washing all the bed clothes and cleaned out the closets and under the bed. And got all the dust out of our bedroom everywhere lol didn’t realize it was so bad. After all all the time I spend in there ive got my eyes closed lol ....

Well all the time Sat night and all day Sunday was spent praying and finally I realized /that God knows best so I have turned it over to him completely finanly and forever. If you ever here me say that im worried about her again throw a brick at me ok lol

Afterall she is a grown woman and I have to let God take care of her. I do all right at it for awhile until she goes off on some wild tangent that really throws me for a loop too.

I worked all day long Sunday, like I said I cleaned house, and when I got done there I went outside. And I cleaned our 4 different flower beds. I am beat. so here I sit with the Tens unit on my lower back with it cranked up to 45 feels good and I think the muscles are beginning to ease up some. ....

Can you believe this weather for August? Usually our August is the most miserable weather in the world.  B ut I really am like this....ive had the a/c off for several days. And so far Im not getting really cold. Joe said he liked to froze last night .i told him to put on his p.js and he might be warmer.  Lol he said those are for when it is really cold or when we are at someone elses house lol he is so anal.

We went walking this afternoon, I actually was able to get all the way around the block before my knee gave out on me. I have got to make the phone call to the ortho guy tomorrow and get an appointment. If I could get the knee done in a couple of weeks I would go ahead and do that first. ..

Jo yes I guess that is the nature of being a mother. But I have determined that no more . no more worrying , of course I will stay concerned but I cant make  her behave better no matter how much I worry. I  use to think that all she did was my fault since  maybe I hadn’t taught her better but good grief she is 42 years old  and I did teach her better. And besides there come a time in everyones life when they have to start to take responsibility for their own actions.

I have never tried the Greek yogurt ...im not a yogurt persons or at least I have never been so...i don’t know what the Greek Yogurt taste like .

I know you had a good time at your granddaughters birthday party.

\

Jeanie Rae thanks so very much for the prayers....they are all taken with gratitude....

Sandy  good to see you back,    lol on saying you were having chest pains in front of Doctors.  They tend to take that serious lol

Glad that you are doing well. And that there is nothing wrong with you that you didn’t know about before.

I never have tried Jalepeno jelly is it really good?  is it hot and sweet or what ?

Well got to go and post this...so I can get to bed.  Don’t know what I will be doing tomorrow but will find something to do.

Good Morning Mimi and MO...

Mimi ~ am so sorry to hear of the difficulties with Michele again.... it is so hard at times to give our burdens to the Lord and so easy to pick them back up again.  I sure pray you are able to leave it all with Him and that you have the sweet peace that He provides!

Sandy ~ thank you for the kind words about my new pic... I have changed again since I had that one taken ... the girls are working on me to "spiff" me up a bit.  I have this new hair again and for the first time I think I might just be OK with it... but goodness it takes a lot of work to get it just so~so... ~tee hee

I was so totally surprised to get into a size 14 button up slacks... wasn't even elastic waist!!!  I think my jaw about dropped to the floor!  and I got into a size large... just large not XL, XXL, or XXXL pair of capris!!! but they were elastic waist...  Just could not believe it!

I made an earthquake cake yesterday and took it to a neighbor... she had given me an iron skillet and I wanted to thank her. And then made Paul some German Chocolate Brownies... I'm sure glad I do not have to do that too often!

Well I think Paul and I are going to plant some new grass here in the next couple of days... boy I hope it lasts this time... it is expensive!  We have a yard full of crab grass now...

You'uns all have a good day!

morning everyone!
Beautiful beautiful weather.  Not much new here except they are putting all new electric poles and wires up in my neighborhood.  said it wasnt done since the 1970's so maybe we wont lose our power so often.  Of course along with the electric co, the water and telephone companies also have to be out here and mark where it is safe for them to dig.  so our quiet road of 5 carss a day is busy busy busy.

Susan, just wondered if you work at an HSI facility?  That is where I worked in Sweet Springs.  Glad you like your job.  God Bless!!!  Colette

Jan, I know how hard it is to turn our troubles over to God and not worry.  Just can't help worrying about our kids.

Bec, isn't it great getting into smaller sizer and especially pants with a zipper.  I put on my crop jeans Friday and they are way too big.  They have a waistband and zipper and I don't have a belt that works with them.  They're in the stack to be donated to the thrist store where I bought them for $2.

This morning I tried on 4 tops before finding one that fit.  I found the cutest skirt I made a long time ago anf had never worn.  It's a pretty shade of pink and has a drawstring waist and buttons down the front.  Love it!!  I want to make one for winter with the same pattern.

Susan, I just can eat any tuna other than Albacore.  When I first joined WWs in 1973 you had to have 5 fish meals a week.  I fixed tuna every way possible and burned myself out on it.  I'm just now getting where I can eat it but the Albacore is the only one I can eat.  The other kind reminds me of cat food.

I looked at super WM for Greek yogurt and they don't have it.  You would think as big as the KC area is, the store would have it.  I just love the texture of it.

My GD's birthday dinner was nice.  Love to hear her say, "I love you so much Grandma."  I took 2 small country ribs and could only eat 1.  Once I get full, that's it.  Another bite just won't go down.  Hubby was happy to take the extra rib off my plate.

Beautiful weather.  Hope it continues.

Good afternoon!  I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed this beautiful weather we're having! ;)  My dad left on Sunday, I hated to see him go, but I know he's ready to get home.  He's been gone for 3 months, here for 2 months  I'm sure going to miss him alot.  Frank and I will be going out there on October 5Th for a week.  Franks mom lives there too so we can visit her too.  I haven't seen her in 12 years.  I bet she will think I've changed. lol  We've about got the bathroom finished, only thing is putting up the mirror and giving it a good cleaning.  It turned out so good.  I'll have to post some pics when we get it all done tomorrow.  Other than all of that I've been working too.  September is going to be a crazy busy month.  Gage and I are going to a concert in Columbia.  Frank and Gage are going to the Raiders football game in KC, I have a house closing, we're having a garage sale and another float trip. How will we ever get all this done?  I'm tired just typing it. I hope everyone is doing good and I'm looking forward to the meeting tonight.  Jan I'm praying for you family, I hope all is well with your daughter.  ;) Lou

Jaolpena jelly isn't hot if made without the seeds and membranes.  Its a bit of a chore deseeding them but found a grapefruit spoon helpfull.  It's wonderful topping over a cracker spread with cream cheese.  Just a bite now as the jelly is made with sugar.  I may try to make some with splenda.
