How long did it take for your surgeons clinic to get back to you? I am going with Dr Roger De La Torre in Bridgeton.
I am excited and nervous and hoping I will be approved.
Just wondering how it goes from here. I know it will take quite a while with insurance. Does the office contact you before they sent everything to the insurance company?

TIA!

Hi Tia! Dr. De La Torre performed my surgery, and I am really really really pleased.  I sent in my package the end of December, had my first appt the end of January. I then had to have three more visits because that's what insurance required.  While I was doing my 3 month preoperative routine for insurance, I took care of all the test that was on the form required by the surgeons office.  Four days after my last visit which was in April, they sent to insurance and I was approved in two days.  So, before they submit to insurance, you have to see the surgeon, nutritionist, and the psych lady.

The total process for me was a total of six months.  Well worth the wait.  Good luck and the office staff is wonderul.

If you LOVED me when I was fat, you are going to be OBSESSED when I am thin!
