Now we start into the book of Job.  This book is quite the account of Job.  He was the richest man in the area and loved God with everything he had.  His richest never got in the way of his love for God.  The bible says it is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God, only for the fact that man puts riches above God but not Job, he put God above everything.  He even would sanctify his children and send up burnt offerings for them just in case they had sinned in their heart against God.  As we can see when we read the story God is so proud of His servant Job, he brags to satan about Job but satan tells God he knows Job will curse Him if He takes everything away from him so God allows satan to do what he wants.  There’s one thing that really caught my eye when all this started happening to Job, did you see what Jobs wife said? “Are you still trying to maintain your integrity? Curse God and die."  Job said to her that she talked like a foolish woman.  Even after all that has happened to Job so far he did not even come close to curing or blaming God.  You know that had to of made satan mad.  I really love reading about Job, in the end it always gives me encouragement and makes me more thankful for what I have and what I’ve been through, compare to what Job goes through we’ve been through nothing.  The devotional this morning sort of goes right along with Job, talking about hardships and things we go through that we don’t understand.  If God be for us, who can be against us?  So true!

***Bec*** I know what you mean about reading about what love really is.  It always puts me in my place and reminds me that I really don’t know what love really is.  The love our father for us is more real and stronger then I can even imagine.  I had never really thought about what delighting in the Lord actually means or how much it means, that’s soooo good, thank you for sharing that, I’ll have to study on that some more.

Daily Devotional

Psalm 23:6

"Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life…"

God has a plan to take every adversity, every hardship you go through and use it–not to beat you down and make your life miserable. No, God's dream is to take that difficulty and supernaturally turn it around and use it to bring you good. He will use those tough times to bring you out stronger, more mature, and prepared for promotion! Goodness, mercy, and unfailing love are God's plan for you!

You may not understand everything that's going on in your life right now, but I encourage you to keep your head held high. Know that God is working in your life. Keep being faithful. Keep doing the right thing knowing that in the end God is going to turn things around in your favor. If God is for you, who can be against you? No one. Greater is the One who is in you than anyone who can be against you. No matter what's going on around you today, you can put your shoulders back and put a smile on your face because God has good things in store for your future!

A Prayer for Today:

"Father in heaven, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. Thank You for all You've done for me in my past and for what You are preparing for my future. Help me keep my eyes on You. Help me stand strong in You and look for Your goodness all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
