WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY

Still a little slow and not quite up to par after my recent sickness, wasn’t the flu or not what I call the flu, with the skin and muscle soreness but sure didn’t feel well for awhile.

I did get out into the garden yesterday and pick the okra that is ready now. Did you know that from the time there is a bloom on okra to the time it is more than ready to pick only takes 5 days? I just read that lol .learn something new every day if you look to find it .

 

I went to bed at 9pm last night but just got awaken by the thunder and lightening at 2 so I thought I would get this written and posted while I was up and awake. Will get sleepy again soon I know.

 

Joe seemed to be a lot better yesterday too. he only took about a two hour nap in the middle of the day ...

 

We recently had it brought to our attention that a small loan we had on this house that was paid off years ago is still showing up to be a lein on here. So I have been looking thru all the old papers that I have to find the pay off note on that...of course all of the paper that I have it isn’t anywhere to be found . now this wasn’t with a bank of course,

When we originally bought this place , it was really really cheap but we didn’t have much money either, and we needed to have a small amount carried by the original owner.  Anyway I remembered his name but didn’t know where he lived now....i decided I would see if I could find him on the computer ...after about 3 hours of searching I found 2 people by that name that by deduction could have been him, I called the first one and ask him if he was the person that use to own property in Cedercreek  and he said yes he did . Bingo. I found him...lol ....he said to send him the paper what ever I needed and he would be glad to have it notarized and send it to me .  so getting that taken care of.  Wonder why after all this time , that was in 99 that this is showing up now. It hasn’t before that I know of anyway.

 

Man it is raining. Wow....it has been pouring now for an hour. Hard and heavy,...love to hear the rain on our metal roof. It sounds so good....

 

Susie  lol according how big of a bag you buy of the pork rinds would that be a big problem of eating a bag in a day....just buy a small one and it wouldn’t be anymore of a problem than eating meat.  I know they have fat in them but we need a certain amount of fats too don’t we? And calories yeah but we also need those too. I still say they are a great snack. The melting down to not much isn’t too big of a problem if you aren’t drinking things while you are eating.  That is the biggest problem with eating too many , if you drink something while eating things that melt down then yeah they keep getting smaller in your stomach and can eat more and more but if you don’t drink anything they fill your tummy up just like anything else....

I will bring you the mimosa tree. It is really nice looking and will look around . there aren hundreds of them everywhere around here in the flower beds they are one of my problems. They come up like weeds lol  which I spend hours pulling and throwing away.

 

Susan are you excited about your new job? I know you are a lot more physically able to do the job now than a year ago aren’t you?  So have you found out if you will be able to come to the meeting on Monday? Sure hope so. I know every one is anxious to see you. You will have to wear something that shows how tiny you are getting. Did you ever think in a million years that someone would say you are getting tiny?

I love those frozen fish portions like that too. you don’t have to guess and they are exactly the right size for our little pouch aren’t they?

 

Janet  so good to see you on here again.  Of course not you haven’t offened me in any way shape or form, and I am sorry I haven’t answered your letters. That is just my fault only excuse I have is too much stuff to do in not enough time to do it in. and I was sick for a week but that didn’t affect my fingers really lol .

Im glad to see that you are taking some time for yourself. When is your first surgery that you need to have... now don’t let helping out at the school become a full time job and keep you from doing the surgeries and such.....get going on them NOW....dont mean to tell you what to do  sweetie but you have been putting off some of those things for way too long ...

Wow if you and Mike would come and rent this place I would sure love it for sure lol hey I can build you a garage if that is all that is missing . will have that done by next week lol

How about a shed out back would that work?

Of course kids are welcome in this area. There just aren’t any right now...and the school bus comes right down here to the door when there are kids living here.

Oh it is a great place for boys to wander in the woods and hunt and fish. The deer come right up in our yard all the time. I told Joe he needs to put a feeder out there and he could get us a deer anytime he wants to. Lol  the one he got last year he shot just down over the hill away from all the houses around here.

 

 

Jo   hot sauce doesn’t seem to bother me in the least, in fact I love it. I either use it or straight jalapenos on almost everything I eat. I love the taste of the peppers. And they have not caused any problems for me at all.  in fact the peppers are one of the first things I tried after surgery as soon as I could eat foods and stuff. I was careful to take out the seeds and not eat them but the peppers were great. Of course now if any of you are newbies this wasn’t right after surgery but  after I got off all the liquid, purreed and soft diets. So don’t say I said you can have them right after surgery lol I didn’t. and don’t.

I am going to try and find some baking mix this coming Monday when we go to
Springfield for our meeting. 

Be sure and see if you can get off on the 9^th too so you can come to Sedalia and meet up with us ok? Would love to meet you..

 

Lou so how far along have you all gotten with putting the bathroom back together?

I am so glad that you got to spend some good time with your dad, those are precious moments.

Sounds like the meeting is going to be a fun one for sure.

 

Colette  isn’t it amazing all the stuff that can get into a kitchen cabinet. The one of mine that really gets cluttered easily is my spice, and baking cabinet. I bought some of those little plastic graduated shelfs for in there and that makes it better but things really get bad in there if you don’****ch it...and it has to be wiped out at least once a month .

And especially this year , has anyone else been having a problem with ants this year? I have cleaned and sprayed and cleaned and sprayed and , well you get the idea. But it doesn’t seem to do any. good what so ever. I cant find where they are even coming in at . it is just those little tiny ants that can seem to get into everything. I have bought extra containers and put everything there is to put into them .

Sounds like you have several things to keep you busy for this winter planned.

Good Morning Mimi and MO...

Boy did we get a whopper of a storm last night... lasted for several hours!  I guess we needed the rain. It is to be cool today they are saying.

Paul and Jo are going to the fair today it is $2 day.  I am not going... I WANT  corn dogs,  cotton candy, funnel cakes, deep fried Twinkies, nachos and all the other good FAIR goodies...am just not at the place I can look at all that good stuff all day long... I guess this surgery did not "fix" my head about food... I can only hope for the future! ~tee hee

Crystal and I are going to stay home and work on the garage... doesn't seem "fair" huh? ~ha We are getting ready to get out all the Fall decorations and need to do one before we do the other.

It's exciting how many possibly might come on the 9th!!!

Went out to walk yesterday and had did two miles when Jo wanted to come back up the drive and get her camera to take some pics of horses down the road... Paul decided he wanted to go with us so we did 4 more miles... I was tuckered when we got back and the by that time the storm was moving in. 6 miles at one time hurts my feet... I've done 8 miles many many days but I did them 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening... seems like 4 is all I have the stamina for no matter how far out from surgery I get?

Sure wish I could come for the personal trainer if you get him for the COF support group meeting but some of you will have to take good notes and tell me all about it...kay?

 Go to store and buy Terro Ant killer - hardware store or wal mart should carry it.  a small bottle lasts a lifetime.  all you do is put a drop on several pieces of cardboard and the ants come one by one ( and sometime you will see a parade of them) and they take it back to their homes and die.  I saw ants one time and did it this year and no more ants.  If you cant find it let me know and I will bring you some on the 9th. God Bless!!!  Well school has started for me. I was surprised to get called so early but I am glad they did. I was getting lazy and needed something to get me up and about in the mornings. I had storms here late last night and didn't get a lot of sleep so I am turning in early. Have a good evening everyone.

hello everyone.hope you all had a good day.friday is almost here.i am writing late this evening because i started to work today.i went in for 10.00am supposed to be off at 400pm but they asked me if i could stay longer to help out.i left there at 8.15 tonight.

i am working a long day tomorrow too.have to be there at 700am and get off around 8.15 pm again.then i am off the weekend.my dad really like's to have me there.

jan glad to hear you and joe are feeling better.i have to work on monday.we are going to try and find a way for andy to get there.i wont work every monday but i will have the car.

colette thank's for the kind word's on how i am looking.i really do feel soo much better now.can move around better and walk better.

janet how did your son like his first day of school?can hardley wait to see your new hair do and renee's.i dont mind you asking me at all what size i am in.i am wearing a size 12 in pant's elastic waist.all depend's how they are made.i am wearing a size large shirt slip over some medium.

jo i never did like hot sauce.but i used to eat egg's and now i dont's even have a taste for them any more.how is your woman cave?we love salad's too.we make them a lot here at home.

lou is your daughter ready for school?this year is flying by soo fast.do you think you will ever get your bathroom done?we know it is a big job.

susie how was your first day of school?i really like going back to work.i have not worked in over  a year.

becky how did your hubby and daughter like the fair?i know all that good food is soo tempting.did you ever get the garage cleaned out.
